We are sorry to hear you were not happy with the Price and the outcome following our recent visit. We have investigated your case in order to understand what and where it went wrong.
We can confirm that our teams have followed protocol:
1. The engineer arrived within 1 hour from your initial call on the Saturday the 26th of January 2019.
3. Our engineer confirmed that your shower mixer has a poor float rate. This is caused by limescale. He recommended that after clearing this, if the problem persists, a replacement vale would be required.

Given the circumstances, our engineer did the best he could to help you on that Saturday morning by dismantling the mixer, clearing the limescale and reassembling the components back. We can confirm the charges applied was simply the minimum fee that was originally quoted for our attendance regardless of how long the engineer was onsite for.
Our aim was to ensure you were able to use the tap as this was an emergency call out. Hence why our engineer recommended the permanent solution moving forward.

I tried to get in touch with you on the 28th of January 2019 but was unable to reach you; I left a voicemail asked that you called me back if you had any further queries as I would have been able to help you resolve them. You called back today the 5th of February 2019 explaining that the initial issue has returned. We explained that this would most probably be a chargeable visit as its has been over a week since the engineer visited and you had not made any steps to permanently rectify the situation. We then agreed to send you a quote for the replacement shower valve; we currently in the process of sending you this.

Ms Lee, I can assure you that we always aim to fix. If we cannot initially fix permanently, we ensure we “make safe” and give our customer detailed analysis on how to permanently resolve the issue. It was unfortunate your shower mixer tap needed another component or a replacement.

We hope this explains our side and approach to your case. we are of course at hand to help and provide you with detailed information on the next step. As with all our customers, we always take into consideration charges paid upon the initial visit.

Came without the tools to do the job…

Came without the tools to do the job and charged me anyway! They say they spet time "diagnosing" the problem even though I told them the problem and the tools they would need when I booked by phone because I'd already had one plumber come to diagnose but they couldn't finish the job because they didn't have a long enough hose. All WeFixNow needed to bring was a long hose ...

We have investigated your case and understand that you raised your concerns with our team already.

Essentially our team have been in communication and have advised all the technicalities of your case, which we understand that you have not been satisfied with.

In summary, our operator quote accordingly during our out of hours service for which you approved. We appreciate that you provided us with information on this initially, however, without having carried out a full assessment we cannot fully understand the requirements and potential options you have.
This was respectfully advised over the phone by our operator, for which you wished to take the risk in order to aid to get some form of waters for the occupiers.

Our engineers arrived to find that the entire premises was being fed from the top floor tank, which had been drained.
There was a considerable amount of debris in the tank and there was slight blockage in the supply of the basement flat.
The cold water needed to be connected to the main and fed back to the tank.
The main will then needed to have been fed from the neighbouring flat – this is not something that can be done during an out of hours call.

We found all these issues after investigating where the problem was coming from. You would not have been able to come about these issues from just looking at the tank or the cold-water feed.

Our engineers always go out the necessary tools, but if more “technical” issues such as this arise, it requires more work and more tools.
Before we bring in the other tools, we trace and access the problem.
This issue was rather entailing in comparison to the ordinary out of hours call out.

Having checked the case all details have already been outlined in depth.

Unfortunately I can't leave a 0 Star review.
Booked a call-out at the eye-watering price of £85 per HALF HOUR for a tenant's boiler. Slot was 8-10am. An engineer finally arrived at 12.45pm with no apology from the company and tried & failed to fix the boiler/immersion. Told me that for an extra half hour he could get the hot water back up and running so I agreed to it. Got another call from my tenants a day later to say no hot water, so I effectively paid the absolute crooks at WeFixNow £170 to do absolutely nothing at all.
They offered to send an engineer out straight away to look at the problem for free and try to rectify it. First decent bit of customer service that I had. Well, surprise surprise they cancelled that visit. When I complained, they then flat out refused to refund me even half of the money.
As a result of their incompetence, I've had to refund tenants rent, and book another company to come and fix the problems that they couldn't. DO NOT GIVE THESE JOKERS YOUR MONEY. They're high up on Google but bargain basement everywhere else.

We have investigated your case thoroughly and hope the following shed some light on the reasonings of how our teams handled the case:

1. Unfortunately, we had been experiencing some back log within our scheduling this weekend as a result of jobs over-running, which meant delays were experienced. Our aim is to avoid delays as much as possible, however, if we arrive onsite and more time is required to get the job done, we will do until the job is done. This is the same approach we use for all our clients.
If we are experiencing delays, we will ensure all clients affected shall be contacted and advised, which on this case our team did.
We are sorry you were delayed.

2. Our engineer did arrive and found an immersion and boiler onsite.
Upon investigating the boiler, it found there were multiple issues and was deemed unsafe in terms of operations.

It was advised and recommended to potential replace the boiler as it was deemed as beyond economical repair.
Due to the number of issues on the boiler, as there was a back up immersion, and in order to get some form of hot water, it was discussed to get the immersion up and running.

Upon inspecting the immersion, it was found that the immersion back up was not providing hot water. This was then inspected and found that there was a lack of incoming power to the unit as a result of burnt out wiring.
This was the first point of action – hence being replaced.
We advised you for which were instructed to proceed.
We rectified the incoming power side to the immersion and the heat was being produced.
Upon leaving site, hot water was being produced.

3. You advised us a coupled of days later that the hot water was not working, it was advised that we would be happy to come out under the warranty to check our works completed – appointment was made. Our team contacted on the day you called to advise that there was an issue with the bookings system and called you a day in advance to advise we were not able to make the appointment and therefore, kindly requested to make another booking of your preference. This was rejected.

Our aim is get systems up and running, and this is what our engineer did. With heating systems, unfortunately, issues may not be present or tested for at the time and we can only deal with an issue that is present at the time. In this instance, there was an issue with the incoming power to the immersion unit, which has now been rectified. It is possible that there is now an issue present that may well be the elements. For this reason, we advised we can come out and check. If other issues were present at the time, without doubt we would have stayed to rectify it – of course this extra time would have reflected on the overall costs. In this instance, it is evident that there are multiple issues with the system and this is process of elimination.

We hope this provide you with the clarification on this case. Of course, if you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us anytime.

Poor Service and a Rip Off

I needed a plumber urgently to unblock our kitchen waste pipe, which had caused our dishwasher to overflow and flood the floor.

I called on a Saturday morning and choose wefixnow as they had a slot that afternoon between 1pm and 3pm. I also had isolated where the block was, so knew it would be quick to sort with the right tool, so was not put off by the £95 per half hour quoted or the £120 possible "rental" cost of the drain un-blocker.

I waited until 2.30pm and as the plumber hadn't called to say he was 40 mins away, I called the office and was told he was held up at a previous job. I was assured at this point that he would arrive in time to fix the problem before I had to go out that evening. It was at about 6pm when I was in the taxi on my way out that I was called to say someone would be with me in 30 mins, so I had to re-schedule for Sunday morning.

The plumbers arrived at 1015 am on Sunday morning, only 15 minutes later than booked, which seemed like a good result compared to the day before and quickly had the problem fixed. They were in the flat for just under 45 minutes and used the drain un-blocker for about 7 minutes of that time.

What was not explained at any point before the work started was that the minimum call out time is 1 hour, meaning the minimum cost is £190!! Also, what was not explained was that the minimum "rental" of the machine that was already on the van etc. was an hour, meaning that it cost £310 to get my sink un-blocked.

They lady on the phone who took the payment didn't offer any apology or discount for the fact that I had wasted my entire Saturday waiting for a plumber or make any allowance for the fact the machine had been needed for such a short period of time. I would not use this company again.

We have investigated your case along with the concerns raised.

Our operator quoted accordingly which was stated that it did not include any costs for using a machinery.
We did not go into further details about the exact costs regarding the machinery because we were not sure if a machinery would have been used.
Our engineer would have had to diagnose the issue before recommending the use of any machinery.

We advised on the availability based on our live system at the time of your call.
An appointment was agreed and booked.

We aim to be transparent as possible, it is often very difficult for our operators to advise on exact costs and time to complete works due to various factors – i.e. severity, access, machinery usage etc.

Weekends are our busiest days and as we are not fully aware of issues we will encountering, with the trade, delays can often be an obstacle for our Dispatch / Scheduling Team encounter.

We are continuously working on this to limit delays as much as possible.
Our teams works hard to ensure that all our clients in the vent whereby delays are being experienced are notified as soon as possible so not too inconvenience than any more than they are.

We can see that our dispatchers were ready to send an engineer on the second slot that was given, but unfortunately you advised you were going out that evening and did not wish for the engineer to attend. Hence, changing the appointment to the Sunday morning.

It was great to hear that we did managed to get your sink unblocked successfully.
We can confirm that charged applied were correct as our engineer was onsite for over the 30mins.

Our engineer advised on the costs of the machinery – this was required and used to ensure full clearance of the line to ensure that same blockage doesn’t reoccur back up in the line.

We appreciated your comments and feedback.

We will continuously work hard to minimise delays and hope we have been able to shed some light on this case form our position.

We are sorry and hope you shall consider using our services again. Our team have applied a small discount on future works with a view that we can change your views.

Shockingly bad service

Shockingly bad service! Technician came out, tried to diagnose the problem but failed. I was charged for a full hour for the "diagnosis" on the basis that the technician was "at the premises" for more than 30 minutes. The technician would not leave my house unless I paid immediately. When I questioned this with the office (saying I had been told I would be charged when the work was complete), the lady on the phone was rude, uncompromising and unsympathetic. I have since asked the office to confirm whether the technician sent out was Gas Safe registered (as they say all their technicians are fully qualified and experienced) but I am yet to receive a reply. I now have to start again, having paid these people £170 and achieved absolutely nothing!

It is our understanding that you were unhappy about the charge given the short amount of time spent on site.
Having checked your case, we can confirm you were charged the minimum amount of what our operator quoted and have charged based on our technician’s time on site for which we also checked our internal tracking system to confirm authenticity of.

During your conversation with our team operator on the 7th of January 2019, our operator carefully explained all the tests that were carried out to provide a full diagnosis and reiterated the charges incurred.
Our team operator also played the recording of the initial conversation.
This was done firstly because we believe in being honest and transparent with our customers and secondly because our operator was trying her best to help you understand the amount of work our engineer had to do in your property and why you incurred these charges.

Regarding our engineer requesting payment after completing the work, our engineer notified you about payment once the work had been completed. Our engineer then went on to explain in detail the further work that needs to be completed.

With regards to our engineers being Gas Safe registered, I can reassure you Mr Goren that we only use engineers that are Gas Safe Registered. We recognise that it is against the law to use engineers that are not Gas Safe Registered.

I can advise that you do not have to start again. As explained earlier, our engineer has thoroughly explained the extra work that needs to be done. If you will rather use another engineer, we have provided you with detailed explanation that could help the engineer. If you then decide to use our services, we will be more than happy to carry on with the additional works.

Called the out of hours staff who were…

Called the out of hours staff who were very polite and helpful, and got our tenant someone out within 45 minutes to reinstate the power. David F arrived with correct keys and correct fuses in his van and got us back on in minutes. Paid a premium but the service is very good and was fully aware of charges that were clearly given to our tenant.

Reliable and responsive

The company responded really quickly to my urgent plumbing requirements. Despite it being New Year's Day, they were able to send someone round within a number of hours – this included giving me a two-hour window in which the guy would be arriving, and within that letting me know when he was an hour away. When he arrived, the engineer was quick, thorough and took the time to explain what had caused the problem and how I could deal with it in future.

One slight drawback was the price: £290 for a relatively simple task (minimum hour booking) is obviously crazily excessive. On New Year's Day, and getting someone who knew what they were doing, I was naturally happy to pay it. Generally speaking, I would want the same service for significantly less.

2. The engineer arrived within 1 hour from your initial call on the Sunday early evening to assess the boiler breakdown.

3. Our engineer confirmed that an internal component of the boiler was required in order to get the unit powered and carry out further checks.

Given the circumstance of the components, we were unable to carry out any form of temporary repairs and full diagnosis information was provided. We can confirm the charges applied was simply the minimum fee that was originally quoted for our attendance regardless of how long the engineer was onsite for.

Our aim is to try and get the system up and running or certainly carry out temporary fix. It was unfortunate that the boiler breakdown you were experiencing required set components. We carry all standard items on board but the components that we required for your system was in fact something that required ordering in.

We hope this explains our side and approach to your case. Should your own related contractor not be able to do the works, we are of course at hand to help and provide you with a fixed price for completing works that are necessary. As with all our customers, we always take into consideration charges paid upon the initial visit.

Please also ensure that your relative is gas safe certified for your own safety as it is illegal for a non-gas safe certified person to work on your boiler.

Had an emergency electrical issue over…

Had an emergency electrical issue over Christmas and We Fix sent out and Electrician called David. The issue of a broken dead cable was sorted and power restored in no time at all.

The plumber sent by this agency did NOT…

The plumber sent by this agency did NOT fix now. He turned up at the agreed time, but he seemed totally baffled by a fairly simple job (repairing a toilet cistern.) Despite going out to get spare parts - which he did not use - he left after 90 minutes without completing the job. He did, however, have time to pressurise an elderly lady (84 years old) into signing a document saying the job had been completed, and charging nearly £200 for his time. Another plumber was called and he fixed the cistern in under an hour. The agency should never use such incompetent workers.
