Friendly staff, huge choice, highly recommend

I had to wait a week for someone to come and measure up for a quote which was quick and fine, guy was nice then was told to come down the next day to get help choosing a carpet, went down this morning, not one person really took us on, when we asked for help, he sat us down, told us some measurements and told us we needed that and not something too shaggy & to go look for what we wanted? We had a look around and realised it would be harder than that, and asked for help, we said we didn’t know what we were supposed to do to see what the price would be to cover the area we wanted, what depth would be suitable etc to be laughed at basically and told bye. Terrible service, can’t rate products as we didn’t even get that far. Will go elsewhere. Never had this sort of experience before where no one is willing to help.

Really poor after getting our money. Started ok, if a little slapdash, but then really disappointing. Where do I start...didn't keep us up to date, didn't return calls. They didn't communicate with each other, meaning we turned up to speak to people who wernt even in, one person was saying one thing, another was saying another. They didnt turn up to measure for damp when they said they would and couldn't get hold of anyone...which i had to take a day off work for. We did not buy carpets, it was luxury vinyl flooring. We booked in specific dates so that we could be in our new build home before Xmas 2017. Everything had finally been arranged and they started asking if we could change fitter so we got the 'best men for the job. When I asked why, we were basically told the normal fitter they use isn't as good and we wouldn't have a perfect job! They didnt trust him to do such a large area as it would have to be really neat. What kind of company thinks that, or says that to customers? When we finally agreed to the new fitters, the date changed again...meaning we had to change the date that our carpets (From another company) would be fitted. The fitter was actually a really nice lad...but he walked off site as his boss had a fall out with Welch carpets and they said they wouldn't finish any job or work with Welch mill again. When we spoke to welch mill, they said they'd get it finished before Xmas...by the fitter that they had told us wasn't any good!!! We had to beg the fitters to come back ourselves and managed to get the job completed. Whilst fitter were on site, they also did the damp check (previously mentioned) and we got told that the damp levels were actually too high and that we should have had a waterproof sealant put down 1st. Nothing was simple and were lied to in several occasions. I will never use this company ever again.

I was really impressed with this company.
Online ordering was simple.
Delivery to Aberdeen was free, fast and reliable.
Their price was the best in UK and easily beat all of Carpetright's (erratic) prices for the same carpet.
In future I will choose my carpet from Carpetright then buy it from Welchmillcarpets!!!
