I'd been looking to buy a dark wood console table for some time. Most of them were ridiculously expensive; and then I came across The Wooden Furniture Store. It was extremely easy to order the table and I spoke over the phone to one of the Managers, explained our circumstances and she said that she would advise the delivery people that we needed help siting the table in our living room. The table is beautiful and at a much lower price than anywhere else on-line.

I would give zero stars if I could. This has been, without a doubt, the worst purchasing experience I’ve ever had.

Timeline of This Nightmare Order:
15/01 – Placed my order, expecting delivery within 5-15 days.
22/01 – Had to follow up myself to be told there was a delay (with no prior notification). New estimated delivery: 10/02.
05/02 – Another delay, now expected 20/02. Again, no proactive communication—I had to ask.
25/02 – Asked where my order was, only to be told they had no idea when it would arrive. No updates unless I chased them.
07/03 – Delivery scheduled, but never arrived. Was told 4-8 PM, then 9 PM, then at 8:30 PM got a call saying it wasn’t happening. I had taken the day off to wait for it. They promised I was now a “priority” customer.
10/03 – Their version of a “priority” delivery? The next available slot was 18/03—another 8-day wait.
19/03 – Finally arrived, a staggering 62 days after ordering (instead of the promised 5-15 days).
And to Make Matters Worse…
After all this, the wooden base had multiple faults, scuffs, and marks. I reached out for some form of compensation—a partial refund or even a voucher—but Wooden Furniture Store refused outright.

For a purchase of £850, this level of service is absolutely disgraceful. The constant delays, lack of communication, false promises, and refusal to take responsibility make me strongly advise against buying from this company. Spend your money elsewhere—this business does not care about its customers.

Bought a large shoe store. Well made piece of furniture but the largest men's shoes that fit is size 8, which is quite small for a man. Anything size 9 upwards is a non-starter

I ordered a console table, whilst beautiful it didn't go in my livingroom. I contacted The Wooden Furniture Store and within a week it was collected, within another week I had a full refund. Totally hassle free experience.

Good showroom to spend half an hour browsing. Good variety of "out of the ordinary" types of furniture and associated fittings . We bought a dining table, dresser and tv cabinet at different intervals. All delivered on time and in good order. Friendly sales staff and installation guys. Would certainly buy there again.

Don’t go near this company.
Lots of nice products but you won’t ever get to see them because they simply cannot deliver an order.
Make lots of promises, which turn out to be complete lies.
Very quick to blame anybody except themselves, especially the delivery firm, won’t take responsibility for their own actions.
Can’t even be bothered to try and sort the issue at the end, don’t apologise and just blame others again.
If you actually want furniture that gets delivered so you can use it, go elsewhere.

Customer service ensured that a repair was made to the slight damage.

Delivery service is terrible.

The website states 5-7 working days. So why am I waiting over 7 weeks for delivery?
I have received the product, which is nearly 12 weeks from the order date.
Product is great and sturdy - it matches details online and meets my requirements.

Although my order has a slight damage on a corner which I will live with.

The sideboard we bought is fabulous. Service was excellent at the shop they explained that they could keep item till we ere ready for delivery. When we contacted them they arranged delivery no fuss whatsoever.
Delivery was fantastic the men carried the sideboard through the building site which is our garden, into the house. Very happy from purchase to delivery. Thoroughly recommend this company

The quality of the items received was good and I am overall happy with the purchase, but the delivery service was poor.

I found that the experience of receiving the furniture very frustrating. The automated delivery slot booking service only gives advance notice of a couple of days, and for items such as furniture where it needs to be delivered inside (not left with a neighbor or outside), it means that planning is virtually impossible for those working during the week and not willing/able to take time off at short notice. It resulted in repeated phone calls to the office and a lack of coordination - overall very frustrating and time consuming.
I wasn't happy with the service I received, but I do believe my experience was not necessarily the norm, as my discussions with customer services afterwards were constructive to my criticisms and clearly they understood what went wrong and that it was unacceptable in my case.

Very happy with my purchase, I was so pleased to see the level of care that has gone into the packaging making sure that the product reached me in its best condition. Thank you!

Have opened one of the two Shoe Cupboards purchased over the 'net........we are very impressed by the the care taken with the packaging AND the quality of the product.......excellent standards of manufacture.

I went online to find a strong, good quality, well-designed large bookcase with reasonably deep shelves. After a few evenings of viewing numerous websites; I eventually chose a bookshelf that I considered would be most suitable for my requirements. This was a light-oak solid timber bookcase, (no plywood or veneers) with three small strongly-constructed drawers at the base. The bookcase was delivered to me within a few days in perfect condition, fully wrapped and protected, and no do-it-yourself assembly required. I am very pleased with the product.

The quality of the goods cant be faulted but tracking the expected date of arrival took phone calls & e-mails to get the information. But having said that ,We would use The Wooden Furniture Store again.

Bought the Mobel Oak Hi-Fi Cabinet, I contacted Clare with a query and she couldn't have been more helpful, and what's more she phoned me back when she said she would!! That's rare these days, she's a real credit to the Company, the furniture arrived within a week of placing the order as promised, it's a lovely piece of furniture, looks really smart and I'm extremely pleased with it - great product, great service, I would definitely recommend The Wooden Furniture Store.
