Brilliant to walk into the YBS and open ISAs with no problem at all. The lady dealing with our transaction was very professional and friendly. Such a relief after attempts at online deals with other places led to nowhere but total frustration.

Couldn't do any better so efficient

YBS have good interest rates compared to other providers and I have been with them since 1996. My complaint is that they keep introducing new accounts with higher interest rates, especially for ISAs. I have Fixed Rate ISAs with them and cannot transfer to the higher rate accounts as I would lose 90 days' interest. Very annoying! I think you should let customers transfer Fixed Rate ISAs to better interest rate accounts with you without losing interest. Otherwise they are excellent.

Transferred my low interest rate ISA to YBS. The actual transfer was easy to do online and only took a few days
A follow up phone call from YBS was made too to make sure I was satisfied

Tried to overpay a mortgage in Norwich branch. Given wrong information more than once. Wasted my time. Very amateur.

How lovely to talk to a real person. Such a helpful lady who explained everything clearly in view of my elderly years ! I would direct my friends her way if they need financial advice.

Helpful and efficient

We went into the local agency in Barnstaple, 47, Boutport Street Devon and opened two Savings Accounts. A lady called Sandra dealt with us and she was very efficient and friendly.

We went to our nearest branch and the Staff at Castleford West Yorkshire were so helpful and couldn't do enough....they were professional, understanding,caring, patient and extremely Knowledgeable about everything we needed to know.
We need to Keep branches like this open because customers who need help rather than telephone or internet get a better service and fills us with more confidence that we are making the right choices

My wife of 30 years passed away last month after a 10 month battle against cancer. I've made multiple attempts to get hold of someone at Yorkshire Building Society to notify them of her passing so that they can amend their records regarding our jointly held mortgage.

Can I reach anyone?
No.
The closest I got was speaking to someone before the line got cut off. Then I couldn't get through at all.

I've tried messaging and emailing them. No one from Yorkshire Building Society has bothered getting back to me.

Pretty abysmal if you ask me. Especially at a time like this. Do they really think I have nothing better to do?
Does anyone even care?

I can bet a pound to a piece of sh!t I would hear back from them pretty soon if I were to cancel the direct debit.
