I went in Bedford branch to open a cash ISA. After queuing up for half an hour I was told I was in the wrong queue! This was despite a member of staff going down the queue asking people what they wanted. I was told to join another queue which had an hours waiting time!
I said to the Cashier that I'm very disappointed with their performance. She said come back another time then. I didn't care for her attitude so I said it seems like my custom isn't valued here so I'm thinking maybe open an account elsewhere. She said yeah if you want to do that. I was fed up so left the branch.
Next thing I get an email from the branch Manager asking me about my "experience". So I replied that it wasn't very good. She emailed me back asking to speak with me. She never rang when she said so I rang the branch to find out why. They said she's busy so ring back tomorrow at 10am. I did this and guess what? Manager is busy, she's going to ring you next they said.
I waited by the phone over 2 hours and no phone calls from her. I emailed my discontent and said I may as well go elsewhere as I'd told the cashier.
The Manager emailed me saying she'd repeatedly rang both my numbers but I'd put the phone down on her! What a bunch of c**p! I never got any calls from her. She then gave me a logged time stamp of these "calls". And when I looked at the phone numbers they were old numbers 30 years out of date! I'd been into the branch just 2 years ago and updated all my contact details including phone and new address. She claimed that I hadn't done this! There's nothing worse than some jumped up incompetent so called manager calling me a liar, so when she said she'd ring me to get my "new" details I said I am past caring anymore as I'm going elsewhere. She promised to ring again but never did! Appalling customer service and awful attitude. I've been a customer since the early nineties too! Their loss, I've gone elsewhere. Nobody calls me a liar and gets away with it.
