Sold a demaged,bike.
Went to pick up a new bike I had purchased online "Click and collect", I was expecting it to come in a box and I would have to assemble it, it was already assembled when I got there, they told me they had done it for me, I had to wait 20 minutes while they did a safety check.
When I was putting the bike into the car I noticed it was a demo bike, it had scratches all over the bike down to the metal, there was rust on the bell and the plastic on the gears was all faded.
I took the bike back straight away, they apologised and offered me a discount.
I said No, and asked for a full refund, they gave me a twenty dollar voucher.
They wasted hours of my time, and I am not sure what would have happened if I got the bike home before noticing the damage?

True Professionalism
I visited 99 bikes at Stanmore yesterday while out on a ride. I didn't have a service booking at the workshop but a bicycle mechanic named Allan was available to see me straight away. I had gear changing issues while during my ride. What I thought the problem was, Allan clearly explained the root causes to me. He educated me of the issues and solutions. Allan also explained the complete rectification process and professionally answered all of my questions. Overall, my experience at the 99 bikes, Stanmore, workshop with Allan's assistance was very positive. Allan was professional, informative and reassuring. This is a perfect example of 100% CUSTOMER SERVICE. Thank you Allan 🙂
Refused Service and Warranty
I purchased a new bike from Burleigh store and moved to the Sunshine Coast 2 months after. Burleigh assured me that I could redeem my new bike purchase free service at any store but Kawana refused and informed me that I had to go back to Burleigh to redeem it. It's 9 months later and it started having problems so I booked it into the Kawana store for a warranty check. They informed me that the bike was unsafe to ride because it hadn't been serviced and it would cost me over $200 in repairs before they could look at the bike. Mind you that my wife is 56 years old and rides casually like you would expect a 56 year old woman would. I've just been to collect the bike and they acted like they did me a favor because they didn't replace the cassette like they first quoted. So the cost ended up being $193 in total. This price is made up of a $14 chain, $10 brake pads and $169 for labour. I have put in a case with Fair Trading as I feel like I've just been robbed. I will never purchase anything from this store again in my life
EMTBike Penrith Sales and Service
I purchased a new EMTBike in January and the experience with dealing with Penrith 99Bikes has been outstanding. They are friendly to deal with, price competitive, provide excellent communication and follow up. Just had my first service and again. Blown away with the quality of the work and service. Highly recommended

I brought a bike it was faulty and…
I brought a bike it was faulty and asked it to be replaced before Christmas. It's the 23rd of January and still no replacement. Tried to just cancel purchase for refund. They will not.
99 Bikes Stanmore Waste Customers Time
The bike shop is soo busy. I booked a service on 3 January for the earliest appointment which was the 19th of January. I got a reminder on the 18th. I went in at 0900 on the 19th and waited about an hour and 99 bikes never opened. There were 3 other people waiting too. It seems that they must have the technology to notify people scheduled for service when they choose not to open. This is stupefying bad customer service. I think Trustpilot should add the ability to give a "0" rating.
New e-bike purchase - amazing service
Bought an e-bike with Zander’s help at Morayfield today. Absolutely fantastic service and advice on every aspect from a very customer oriented young man who simply wants to get the best result for you.. I am SO glad my friend directed me there.. Zander answered every question, explained, demonstrated and even delivered after work the same day…. What more can you ask. Highly recommended 👍👍👍

Illegal for me to change a spoke - but this shop can do it.
Took the bike into 99 Bikes to replace a spoke and fit mudguards. Was then told "We can't work on that as it is illegal [for us to work on it]" and it was not made in Australia. 99 bikes can do as they please but
1: the bike was made in Australia - to Australian Stds.
2: Even if it was over 250 W it is not illegal in Australia only on highways.
The guy was so abrupt and rude in his tone, and the fact that after he delivered his sentence (whilst cancelling the booking) he turned his back on me in a basic "we are done here", on the plus side he told me a shop that would service it - although I am non-plussed as to why it would be illegal in his shop and not the other.
Anyhow, no point arguing with someone who has already made their mind up so left, and will not be buying any bikes or material from 99 bikes again, even if they are the cheapest.

Producto erroneo y mala atención al cliente
El día 16 de octubre de 2023 solicité un pulsómetro de Garmin que estaba de oferta en la tienda por un precio de 109 euros que aboné cuando fui a recogerlo a la empresa de transportes.
Cuando lo abrí en mi casa pude comprobar que lo que contenía la caja nada se parecía al producto solicitado por lo que he intentado ponerme en contacto con ellos, no habiendo sido posible por ningún medio.
Muy descontento con sus servicios

Buzzybee H2 bike rack with faulty nut/fixing bolt
A Buzzybee H2 bike rack purchased through the online store arrived and unfortunately the nut that the main fixing bolt screws into didn't have a clean thread. I was directed to contact my nearest store 75km away. The team at the store were helpful but it took a bit longer than I would have liked and it was inconvenient that I had to collect it in person when I even offered to pay the freight for the faulty component.
Bike hire, always again
I rented a bike to ride the River Loop. I got very good advice, friendly and very relaxed. Unfortunately they don't deliver the bikes (other users had written that). But as I lived centrally, I could walk there. The bike was great, compared to the other bikes I had already rented in Australia. You notice that they also have their own workshop, which checked my bike again. Gearstick, brakes, smooth-running chain (with inconspicuous chain guard!) etc. all flawless. The self-guided tour (via mobile phone in a mobile phone holder) worked well, but you definitely need a full mobile phone battery for it. Helmet, lock, light and mobile phone holder are included in the price. And since they are open until 6 pm, I was able to use the day long enough. I would always rent a bike there again.

Elitist attitude of service team talking down to and taking advantage of less knowledgable casual rider. Costly - failed service/ repair.
I took my medium level mountain bike into bike 99 Sydney North. I had a rear hydraulic break issue with squeaking/ low compression, poor stopping distance as well as had gear change missing/ clicking issues.
I found the service team a bit elitist, talking down to you. Advised need for full service, cleaning and full break replacement, disks, pads etc. with a cost of 3rd of a new bike.
Decided as they were experts went ahead with repair. After a week advised to pick up, testing difficult at store but assured by same service men all good now. Got home and tested on weekend ride and breaks squeaking/ low compression/poor stopping still there and still missing a few gears on changes. Called back and found service and support lacking by same men with same attitude with customer blamed for re-causing problems.
If work completed, Bike could not have been tested.
Decided to cut my loses and go else where, bad costly decision to go with Bike99.
I delayed sending this review, but felt I should advise and help management train service team to avoid others having same experience.
Poor build quality
The guys are always helpful but every bike we have purchased is put together very poorly. My sons handlebars came loose on the first ride causing him to crash and hurt him self quit badly and both my bike and my partners bikes seats continually come loose and have done so from the very first rides. It's a shame because the bikes them selves are great but who ever is putting them together needs to pay more attention to the build.
