Michael called me to let me know he was on his way,so I was prepared for his arrival. He knew exactly what needed to be done, and completed the job efficiently, with no problems. He was polite, friendly and respectful of my property, and made sure I was fully informed about what he had done once the work was completed.

Kamran came to install my smart meters on behalf of Octopus Energy. He arrived promptly and kept me in the loop as to when he would arrive and requested photos of my old meters the day before so he could see what I had. Kamran was very professional and respectful and polite and treated me with respect. He came inside and again treated my property with respect too.
Kamran is an absolute asset to your company and deserves to be recognised for his hard work and cleanliness too. He left my property as he found it.

An absolute dis grace of a company
Brakes failed on unserviced van a i nearly killed myself as the van failed to stop and crashed at 60mph!! Second van i was given also not roadworthy, they refused to give me different vans!
Training is a waste of a week as all you do is take photos of existing work for your portfolio.
The absolute worst, most disgusting people i have ever met.

He also left a handy booklet showing a breakfast of average cost per appliance. Polite and professional.

Michael arrived on the dot and gave us a brief review of what was going to happen. He carried out the work very efficiently and checked that everything was working as it should be. Before leaving he made sure that l understood how to use the indoor display and gave me some tips for saving energy. A positive experience and a very polite and friendly man.

Michael was brilliant, he called ahead to say he could arrive early. He was professional, friendly, efficient, very tidy and went above and beyond our expectations to minimise the time the electricity was switched off so Andy could watch all of the Lions rugby match from kick off. Your timing was perfect, thank you so much, you’re an absolute star!
We would highly recommend Michael, he made the switch over to smart meters smooth and straightforward. Thank you.
UPDATE 27//7/25 - Just discovered the smart gas meter fitted doesn't work when SO Energy requested a meter reading.
I understood the point of a Smart meter was you no longer needed to provide meter readings. Also when checking the gas smart meter reading, I found the door to the gas meter cabinet has been damaged and now can't be opened in the usual way, hinges twisted and the lock is broken.
Reported to SO Energy and sent photographs of faulty smart meter showing reading is 'not available'. The metering team now require a video demonstrating it doesn't work and told any damage to the meter housing is our responsibility.
Very disappointed that meter wasn't checked at installation to ensure it was working and SO Energy's handling of this. I'm concerned about gas charges in the absence of any reading for the last 4 weeks. I've had no response to my questions sent 3 days ago regarding this yet.
We had concerns about switching to smart meters after highlighted issues with faulty meters online and on media consumer watchdog programmes. I was reassured by a SO Energy caller that they were now on third generation smart meters which are much more reliable. Experience suggests not.

Many thanks to Michael for installing the smart meter. All good, but, not being tech savvy, more advice about the geo Trio II touch device would have been useful.

Aes have succeeded in setting us up with a Smart Meter. Not easy as one of our circuit boards was incompatible with the first replacement meter. Darren Ward worked hard to find a brand new issue meter that did the job so that we now have “day” and “night” rates (as we used to have). He did a good job, was tidy and polite, and did a lot of traveling to get to our neck of the woods.

Excellent job done, arrived on time, communication before and during installation excellent.
Answered my questions and advised how to get help if I need it. Showed me how the system all works. Brilliant. 10 ⭐️!
