Since December the app isn’t working properly

Unfortunately since December the app isn’t acknowledging my purchases, therefore, I am losing out on rewards. I obviously spent more in December for Christmas.
Up until then I have been able to pay £10 off my phone bill every month. Very disappointed and very frustrating!

It works well and requires virtually no effort, however they have this annoying habit of removing my most used retailers but only from my app, the wife can still access them through hers which seems extremely unfair. I hardly use it now due to limited retailers to choose from, the rewards are not worth enough to justify spending for the sake of rewards.

Hey, thank you for your feedback on your experience, sorry to hear it's not been great recently. Retailer offers can change or be withdrawn at any time, as these decisions are made entirely at the retailer’s discretion. We certain the value the feedback though and have passed this onto the relevant team.

Great app howrver I am not always able to complete the card sometimes as the places that are on option I can't shop in due yo finances and on option which is a real pain. It does take a ehile for the stamps to apear do you are waiting a while before you see any evidence and also each month thry keep far too many stsmps per month and I think with how difficult it is with finances getting tight this part of Airtime is a joke.

This is a simple app which can save you money on your mobile phone bills. I have been using it for quite sometime now and have earned rewards in excess of £100 which have been redeemed against my phone bills. Very happy!!

A good way of saving on your mobile…

A good way of saving on your mobile phone bill without really trying. Some of the rewards take a long time to come through but they all get there in the end.

Just don't get the fuss

You can only redeem against maximum £10 and it takes forever sometimes to get your cash back, some only available in 90 days...that's a long time to wait. By then 3 months worth of mobile bills have gone by and I'm still on a pending sum of £11. I don't get the rave. But will leave it at 2 stars because at least it's something rather than nothing. I'd give it a 3 if they didn't try and upsell you all the time and tell you your account has expired and needs reconnecting again.

Hotel offers not working

I use Hotels twice a month however this week am unable to use Hotels.com (or other hotel sites) offer?
The blue get offer bar is obstructed, is there a glitch, have I done something wrong, or is there an O2 maximum per month I've gone above? Otherwise love the app, reducing my O2 bill.

Airtime only gives you the option to…

Airtime only gives you the option to get £10 off your mobile bill. It does nothing else and few months ago the service got much worse making it very difficult to get a discount. It is an awful service and waste of time. Not useful to have a small purchase tracked after 86 days. Shame!

Easy to use, picks up my transactions most of the time, slight hitch now and again. Helps to pay my mobile bill when it gets to £10.

Was great, but not any more

Used to be great, no problems with transactions tracking and you could redeem your balance quickly and easily, but over the last few months, the service has deteriorated in 2 key ways. 1: An increasing number of purchases don't track and 2: the ridiculous changes made in relation to getting your funds paid back with sky high charges for bank transfers and a limit on the number of transfers allowed to get MY credit paid to me. I changed mobile networks and my new network is not supported so I have no option other than to transfer to my bank account, but Airtime now restrict you to being able to only transfer £10 at a time and take an insane 13% for the privilege to get your money. Airtime could not care less about the obscene charges they now levy, or the block they put in place to restrict your transfer to bank account to 2 X £10 transfers a month (with a shocking £1.30 fee each time for the privilege). The hassle is getting too much now and it's sad looking back at how much better things used to be, as it's more frustrating than great now.

We completely understand how frustrating it can be when purchases don’t track as expected and when changes to withdrawal options affect how you access your rewards.

In relation to withdrawals, Airtime was originally created for members to reduce their mobile phone bill. The withdrawal to card option was introduced so members whose mobile networks aren’t supported can still continue using the service and access their rewards, rather than being unable to redeem them at all. While this option does include a processing fee and transfer limits, it was designed to provide an alternative way for members to receive their rewards when airtime redemption isn’t available.

Regarding purchases not tracking, this certainly isn’t the experience we want for our members. In many cases tracking can be affected by failed card registrations, ineligible purchase or payment methods or changes to tracking details with the retailer. However, you can complete the missing transaction for via the app, we can ensure you receive any eligible rewards and rectify any potential tracking issues.

We really appreciate you sharing your thoughts, as feedback like this helps us review and improve the service for our members.

Concept is good but the app is very complex

Concept is good but the app is extremely complex to use and frankly finding any useful store is a nightmare. Also too many terms and conditions variations across each outlet including multiple different payment restrictions, use or do not use a dedicated link and transactions not tracking. Also terms and conditions keep changing without notice. Lastly only a very restricted range of mobile accounts offer the redemption and none of the more generally better value operations.

Personally I prefer Topcashback which has a much better range of offers, is much simpler to use and has a wider range of redemption possibilities

Hey Simon, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're really glad to hear that you like the concept behind Airtime, but we're sorry to hear that the app has felt complicated and frustrating to use.

Our offers and rates come directly from the retailers themselves, which means the terms and conditions can vary between stores. Some retailers require purchases through a dedicated link, while others allow you to simply pay in-store or online with a linked card. We understand this can sometimes feel a bit complex, and we’re always looking at ways to make these requirements clearer and easier to follow within the app.

In terms of tracking, purchases should normally track automatically when the correct steps are followed, but if something doesn’t track as expected, you can complete the missing transaction form within the app which will ensure any eligible rewards are issued and we can rectify any tracking concerns.

Redemptions are currently available with a selection of supported mobile networks that we have direct billing integrations with. We appreciate that this may not include every provider, but expanding our supported networks is something we continue to work on.

We really value feedback like this as it helps us improve both the app experience and how we present our offers. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts.

I liked that I was able to save money off my mobile phone bill until I changed to a different network....

I liked the fact that I could save money off my mobile phone bill. However, when I was with O2, I was able to redeem £20 off my mobile phone bill, but when I switched to Tesco mobile network (which piggybacks on the O2 network, and Tesco mobile don't increase their tariffs for the duration of the contract AND you get clubcard points every time you pay your mobile phone bill)there was no redemption facility for Tesco mobile. The only way that I could get money off my Tesco mobile phone bill is to redeem the rewards as a credit to my bank account:( this redemption amount was capped to £10 with a handling fee which then reduces the amount to £8 something :( .This is a measly pointless amount to cap the redemption to £10 when I was able to redeem £20 in the past. I've now gone onto top cashback app now for any future purchases. Whilst I understand and appreciate that Airtime rewards have to be consistent and fair, I think and feel that it's unfair to cap the credit to my bank account to pay towards my Tesco mobile phone bill at £10 when other networks receive £20. This is not consistent or fair, and needs to be addressed....

It’s great to hear that you were able to save money on your mobile bill while you were with O2. We understand how frustrating it can feel when switching networks and finding that the redemption options work a little differently.

Currently, direct bill redemptions are only available with certain supported networks, such as O2 and others we have direct billing integrations with. Although Tesco Mobile runs on the O2 network, it operates as a separate provider and unfortunately, isn’t currently set up to receive direct bill credits from us. Because of this, the available option is to withdraw your rewards to your bank account instead.

Regarding the £10 withdrawal cap and processing fee, we appreciate your feedback on this and completely understand your point about the difference compared with direct network redemptions. Feedback like yours is really valuable and is shared with our team when we review our redemption options and limits.

I've been using Airtime rewards for a few years now and have used rewards to put towards my ee phone bill. It's now only £5 - £10 that you can redeem but it's £10 more than nothing. Really easy to use as all you need to do is your usual shopping and if the shops that you do use are on the list of retailers in the app then you'll start earning money to use against your phone bill! Just register your bank cards when setting up the app (Very secure) and away you go!

Absolute waste of time

Absolute waste of time ! Im with Lebara and my only option is to use credit from Airtime towards my mobile phone bill but this goes on as a credit for pay as you go and will not come off your bill ! So wasted
