Refunds take 21 days

Refunds take 21 days, as I was told. Communications is done by proxy. A third party that "deals with 50+ brands". Don't bother, not worth it.

I bought 2 items from the sale

I bought 2 items from the sale, both of which got lost in transit. I got in touch with customer service and they were brilliant. The issue was resolved and I received a beautiful pair of cream cropped jeans and a black tank. Very Happy customer!!

Short Return period and poor customer service

Aligne have a very short returns period of 14 days which I don't think is realistic for most working women (especially those with kids). I had a faulty item which I want to return and the amount of time it has taken me to get them to agree to return it has been painful. I am currently waiting on them to approve my return again even though I have already sent a photo and video to customer service. I won't be buying again due to the faulty item and the amount of time I have wasted trying to return it.

We're sorry to hear that you've been disappointed with your experience.

Our returns policy is in line with UK consumer rights legislation. For unwanted items, customers have 14 days from receiving their order to notify us that they wish to make a return, followed by a further 14 days to send the item back. This effectively provides a 28-day return window. For any items that develop a fault, we always advise customers to contact us directly so that we can review the issue and assist accordingly.

When an item is reported as faulty, particularly outside of the standard returns period, we do require images or videos so that our team can review and confirm the fault before approving a return. We appreciate that this can sometimes add an extra step to the process, but it helps us assess each case fairly.

Having reviewed your order, I can see that your return has now been delivered to us and processed.

We appreciate your feedback and are sorry that this experience has left you feeling frustrated.

I stupidly forgot to include the new…

I stupidly forgot to include the new customer discount code on my order for a lovely denim dress that I’d admired in my daughter!! (Don’t worry, I checked with her)
I contacted customer service and they very sensibly said wait till it arrives and you are satisfied and if so we’ll activate the NCD! Very intuitive.

Very disappointing experience

Very disappointing experience. Shipping charges for EU customers are completely non-transparent and extremely high, especially when compared to other UK brands. Customer service was unable to explain what these charges consisted of and repeatedly referred to an external provider without providing any breakdown. The lack of transparency around the final price gave me no confidence to place an order.

We're sorry to hear that your experience left you feeling disappointed and that you chose not to place an order with us.

As explained during our correspondence, the additional charges shown at checkout for EU orders are customs and import-related fees that are calculated automatically based on the destination country and the requirements of the local customs authorities. These charges are collected upfront as part of our Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) service to ensure customers are not faced with unexpected fees when their parcel arrives.

Unfortunately, these fees are not set by Aligne, and we do not have access to the detailed breakdown used by the customs calculation provider. We appreciate that this may have felt lacking in transparency, and we're sorry if our explanation did not provide the level of detail you were looking for.

We do value your feedback and will continue to review how we communicate international shipping costs to customers in the future.

I had a recent experience with customer care, and I was very impressed. Jodie was super helpful and responsive when I reached out. Jodie quickly resolved the issue and ensured everything was taken care of. Alignes commitment to customer satisfaction is commendable. I highly recommend this retailer for their excellent service!

I returned an item about two weeks ago…

I returned an item 1/5 over two weeks ago and they emailed to say they had received it on the 6/5.

I noticed on their page it says up to ten days to process return. I’ve been in contact with the customer service because imo it shouldn’t take that long to process one item which cost me £179. The customer service said to wait until
The tenth day because that’s the maximum days it should take and to email them that morning if I hadn’t heard.

I did l, but then they replied that it wasn’t the end of the day. Which in my options is absolutely ridiculous. And a real waste of my time.

They then said to email tomorrow morning, which would make it the 11th day. It’s an absolute farce. It doesn’t take much time to check an order and I dislike being faffed around with.
They then said it’s because of the Bank Holiday, which doesn’t include me because they received the item on the 6/5 so they can’t use that as an excuse

Had a look on this review page to see people’s opinions and notice it’s a recurring issue.

I’d really like a refund for my item and don’t really wish to wait another couple of days because I’m beginning to get quite irate at their lack of urgency for their customers.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and I’m sorry to hear how frustrating you found the returns process.

As advised in both our returns information and previous emails, refunds can take up to 10 working days to be processed once received at the warehouse. During busier periods, and around bank holidays, it can take the full 10 working days. We were not advising that the bank holiday was the sole reason your return had not yet been processed, but rather explaining why processing times can sometimes take the full timeframe quoted.

We also provided some context around the returns process so you could understand why it is not always possible to process returns immediately upon delivery. All returns are manually sorted, opened, and quality checked by the warehouse team before a refund can be approved and completed.

I can confirm that your refund was processed on the morning after the 10th working day, which is within the timeframe we advise customers to allow.

We completely understand that waiting for a refund on an unwanted item can be frustrating, especially on a higher-value order, however as a business we do need to ensure all checks and processes are completed correctly before refunds are issued.

We appreciate your feedback and are sorry for the frustration caused.

Really disappointing service

Really disappointing service. Not only do they charge for returns but the whole process is really slow!! It's been two weeks since they've received my parcel and I still don't have the refund. After contacting them I received a patronising email telling me to wait ! Not what I expected and not a brand I would recommend

Lovely clothes poor service

Lovely clothes. Sizing really mixed though resulting in need to return which they refused to accept within policy only allowing credit. Customer service slow and poor.

In terms of our returns policy, this is outlined on our website and is in line with consumer laws, which is why only a gesture of goodwill could be offered in this case.

Refund still not received 14 days after…

Refund still not received 14 days after my return was delivered. I’ve emailed 3 times and been completely ignored. Lack of communication and failure to process refunds properly is very disappointing.
