They do “legal “fraud with their online insurance quote. I requested a tenant quote and mentioned there would be 3 students living in the apartment. I received an instant quote which was 10-15% better than our current insurance coverage cost. I agreed and paid the amount. Once I paid the amount, I received a prompt to add 2 other people’s name and information. Once I tried to add my room mates, the price jumped 100% of the original quoted price for 3 people. That was insane! I called to speak with an agent. They don’t have any staff basically, they want you to chat for “customer service and support “. Long story short, I had to cancel the insurance right away since it was too high and they forcefully charged me a “cancellation “ fee although my insurance would’ve started a month after. This is ridiculous and rip off. I would NEVER recommend anyone to deal with these scam*rs

If I could give them 0 stars I absolutely would. This insurance is the complete worst if you’re hit by someone who has that insurance. I got in a car accident by someone insured by them November 24, 2025 and my car just got fixed on February 17,2026. They drag their feet and never answer any phone calls. They have to have meetings if your vehicle needs a supplement to see if they want to cover it or not. When I went to get the diminished value for my vehicle it was denied because I was in an accident that only caused scratches on my vehicle. When I got hit by their client I needed my bumper, headlights, fender, and door replaced. This is the absolute worst insurance company. And if you get hit by one of their clients I hope you have a lot of patience because it’ll take months to finally get your car fixed.

My experience with Apollo Insurance has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. The company provides very weak customer service and lacks proper support. Communication is slow, unclear, and often unhelpful. When you need real assistance, it feels like there is no one genuinely available to help.
The cancellation process is complicated, and billing practices are not transparent. I continued being charged even after I no longer needed the policy, which caused unnecessary financial stress. Instead of supporting customers, the system feels designed to make things difficult.
I strongly warn others to read all terms very carefully and think twice before choosing Apollo Insurance. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company to anyone. There are far better insurance providers in Canada that actually value their customers

Terrible coverage for the price
Horrible customer service, insanely high cancellation fees, and terrible coverage for the price.
Easy to buy, hard to cancel. Literally a scam.
They'll hook you in by being very easy to buy and they have a great initial system that makes it easy to select the coverage you want on the exact items you want. Great.
The problem is if you want to cancel your contract before 1 year, they'll charge you for a full year anyway. And if you don't cancel the auto-renewal 60 days before renewal, they'll charge you again for a full year.
Don't be fooled, this is not a "monthly" contract. It's a 12 month purchase. They're just breaking it down into 12 payments, but you WILL pay the full year no matter if you only need 3 months of 6 months of insurance.
This does not apply only to the first year. It renews 12 months at a time every time. So if you stay at your place for 1 year 2 months, you will pay 2 years. If you stay 3 years 4 months, you will pay 4 years. Disgusting scam.
One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had in my life
I signed up for a new tenant policy for my apartment which was not to start until the 1st of November.
They charged me for the month of November as soon as I signed up on October 16th which I'm fine paying a month in advance.
Come to find out they want me to pay for the month of November yet again on November 1st, so I'll be charged twice before I even start my coverage.
I'm on very limited income due to disability and their customer service refused to work with me to start the payment date in December as I don't feel like I should have to pay for 2 months in advance.
The customer service representative was very rude to me and unwilling and unable to help me with any of my concerns.
Based on principle alone I will be canceling my insurance with them, I don't care it's worth it. I would highly recommend not doing your business with them, I guarantee that you will absolutely unequivocally be sorry and feel like you wasted your time.
Do your due diligence and shop elsewhere I highly recommend avoiding this company at all costs.

Cohesion, inside trading and hacking, complicating fees and charges, unprofessional, targeting of unacceptable harassing with poor quality marketing tactics, invasion of privacy. Damage causing which related to health issues.

Apollo Insurance is a full on scam and a very unprofessional company. I got tenant insurance for $30 per month. And then I called to cancel the tenant insurance and I was charged a full year. I was told if you cancel insurance mid term you get charged a full year worth. Its is so unprofessional and unacceptable that a company charges a client a full year worth of money. In addition the policy auto renews so if you don't call or cancel it 60 days prior to auto renewal then you are again in the same situation where if you cancel it after auto renewal then Apollo will charge you a full year. In today's day and age for a company in Canada to conduct this kind of unprofessional insurance business and to hide behind fine print and auto renewal practices is totally unacceptable. This needs to stop.

Buyer be aware. Apollo insurance will charge you almost full amount of premium, if you cancel early. It is hid very well in their policy.
And of course, it is hard to talk to someone in person.

Apollo sold my account. I cancelled my insurance renewal and it took 2 emails and multiple phone calls. After all that they STILL renewed my insurance and charge my credit card.

Signed up with Apollo Insurance in Canada for a one-month policy. Nowhere during sign-up was it clearly stated that I’d be hit with a premium fee just for cancelling early — especially when the plan was meant to be short-term. It feels shady and dishonest.
This kind of vague small-print nonsense is exactly what gives insurance a bad name. I’m warning others: read everything twice or better yet, avoid this company altogether.

I received a marketing advert from Apollo. They scheduled a formal appointment and were late. When the young insurance broker called he asked questions like how much I was paying and how much I want to pay. The company advertises “best rate” plans but just takes your personal info and shotguns it to the marketplace. They don’t give you prices or coverages. They just try to close the deal. Not for me!!
