Wonderful facilities for those seeking a stress free retirement in a beautiful setting close to Clifton.

Kym the lady who showed us around the village and the different accommodation was very knowledgeable and helpful.The building quality of the development was excellent. On a personal note the accommodation space was too small for us and we would have prefared a 3 bedroom accommodation plus a utility room and more storage.

We were very impressed with the whole concept of Audley and are left with much food for thought. We now need a little time to consider.

Wendy was very helpful. The visit was very interesting. The grounds were great.

Lourette, who showed us around was excellent. She was friendly and explained everything carefully.
The apartments were lovely and the grounds were exceptional.
The maintenance fees however did seem high.

We were given a warm, very professional welcome by Samantha and a thorough tour of all the facilities.
The finances were clearly explained.

When we first visited the Audley Village, Chalfont Dene, and the Lytton Restaurant, everywhere was sparkling clean, with fresh decor, a buzzy atmosphere, and great food.
What has happened?

The venue and bar areas are tired and in desperate need of a refresh - new paint, furniture, restored flooring, and new decor required ungently - with a much needed uplift to offer a younger vibe.

Music, when played, does work well!

The bar and restaurant, after all, are intended to welcome non-resident visitors and Audley Club members.
. . . It does have more of a care home feel at the moment, with the bar area in particular housing an underwhelming assortment of tired-looking furniture.

We miss the smart and enticing venue it used to be, especially when compared to other Audley Villages such as the stunning setting of the one at Leamington Spa.

I am disappointed that on two occasions I had booked lunch, only to find on arrival that it was pizza, garlic bread, and chips only.
No alternative menu, and very little in the way of side salads.

Afternoon Tea is prepared in the mornings - hence the pre-order - so the offering is underwhelming and dry.

The Restaurant and Bar Staff are young, friendly, and interested in progressing their roles.

The Spa and Gym staff manage the Spa and Gym facilities for members and visitors brilliantly: the Therapists and Gym manager are superb.

It is the dreadful state of the pool changing rooms and pool area that are so dirty, affected by serious limescale buildup, deteriorating tiling, with an overall depressing feel.

I do not use the showers now owing to their appearance and lack of cleanliness!

The poolside loungers are filthy and there is no space is available for post-treatment relaxation.
This area could accommodate 4 relaxation pods to easily overcome this!

All these comments have been fed back to Head Office and the Manager, but apparently no changes can be made this year as there is no budget!

An on-site maintenance team could keep on top of things rather than leave it for 10 years without, blaming the state of these areas on the age of the development!

. . . I do hope the Management upgrades as soon as possible to reach the high standards Audley Dene deserves for all!

— Further to your response - thank you - I did meet with the Manager, and he told me the budget allowed for a new Restaurant carpet this year and perhaps the sanding of the floor in the Spa. The flooring has been put on hold as the quote is too expensive.

All the photographs I took addressing a handful of the issues remain the same. No update in interior finish, maintenance, or cleaning.

I continue to feel embarrassed referring friends to the Spa with the changing areas/showers/poolside loungers looking and feeling so grimy.

I repeat all this as I’m surprised at the lack of interest in sprucing up the Spa and Bar areas.

Walking me through the “updates” will be a repeat of my meeting with the Manager.

Enjoyed sitting with a pot of tea in the communal area and viewing who comes and goes. Friendly set up. Not inquisitive! Presentation was good. Covered a lot of information without overloading the detail.

It is you who need to improve! What on earth is the point of reviews from Visitors?!!!
What you want to read when you are considering this, are reviews from residents, with experience of living there. Is there some reason why residents do not feel free to comment?
This is based on a genuine experience of reading some of your website. Useless!!!

We were impressed with the public / general areas - the apartments were well appointed and the external areas complemented this development. We need to get our heads around apartment living

We attended Wycliffe Park and were greeted with our designated parking place. Tony was prompt, friendly and courteous. He allowed us plenty of time to explain our position and expectations. We had a very detailed conversation about the costing structure. We had the opportunity to look at two apartments as we were visiting to get an impression of what Audley can offer. We finished with a nice lunch and will be following up with a second visit in a few weeks.

I really enjoyed my trip to Audley. Claire who showed us around was very attentive and welcoming. The apartment was equipped to a very high standard.

The charming lady who showed me round, she covered most things I wanted to know and answered succinctly all the questions I asked. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.
