My wife is a longterm credit card customer of Avantcard...recently she made a couple of purchases using Klarna..relatively small amounts.. when the bill arrived s "cash advance fee of 2.50 euro was attached to each transaction..no notice given..customer rep blamed Klarna..NOT TRUE..THIS IS FAST PRACTICE and not acceptable..

Well here we go .

Well here we go .. so I’ve had issues with this card since I got it just over a year ago. I almost canceled in the beginning but they fixed the issue .. 1.) they change payment due dates with no notice .. 2) my most recent situation is crazy. Well I paid my payment back in Nov and went about my life assuming it was paid as I didn’t recieve any notifications otherwise.. and I had the funds when the payment was made..well dd to Dec so far I’ve gotten 2 friendly reminders in Dec of my payment due Dec 7th.. well I check my bank account today just to make sure my check came through and saw a payment for 26.00 and done change was pending on my account from these people.. well I hadn’t even made my payment yet this month so I started freaking out and checked if I’d somehow been signed into autopay without my permission (I never do autopay.. like EVER) but it said I wasn’t so now I’m pissed lije why is a ant charging me before I even process my payment for today?? So I call .. well they claim I cancelled my payment the same day I made it in Nov .. NO I DIDNT.. that there was a late fee and past due charges because of this payment they say I cancelled ( I did not) and then when I made it clear that WAS NOT TRUE .. they tried to claim I then went in after canceling ( I didn’t cancel) and set up a future pay date for .. low and behold .. the same day my next months payment was due??? NO I DID NOT .. and that was why there was now a payment pending on my bank account! I DID NOT AUTHORIZE any payments since the payment I made on Nov 11th.. that I never recieved any emails or notices THAT this was supposidly cancelled by me ( DIDNT CANCEL ANYTHING) nor did I recieve any emails or notices I had any late payments or late fees, AT ALL Just 2 friendly reminders that I had my monthly payment of 25.00 due on Dec 7th.. that’s it .. so someone has defrauded my account on their end .. they somehow cancelled my payment causing all this BS .. very sketchy and fraudulent and I WILL BE FILING A POLICE REPORT ON MONDAY!!

Only good experiences with Avantcard

Have been dealing with Avantcard for many years and never had any issues to complain about. They instantly approve increases in credit limit when I needed it and subsequently resolved an issue I had with a company who didn't supply goods I had ordered. Very good service and if you repay the monthly balance you don't incur charges. A good experience.

I'm new customer for Avant card

I'm new customer for Avant card. Before applying for the card I' scared, very bad reviews about company, .I don't know what happened. I can't say anything bad, quick service, in couple days I received card, in couple seconds I got pin.card is activated and money in. On present day I'm happy. Thank you for Avant team.

Stay Away from Avant !!!!

I filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2023 due to being laid off. After filing Chapter 7, I started working again and was told by my attorney to apply for a couple of credit cards to rebuild my credit. i applied for 2 cards that were included in my Chapter 7 and was approved again. So I decided to apply for an Avant card and was approved. I received the card but I could not activate it because my email address could not be verified. I called customer service to activate the card and they told me that I could not use the card because I had filed Chapter 7. I should have never been approved for the card in the first place if that's the case. I told them to cancel the card and close the account. STAY AWAY FROM AVANT !!!!!

Avant took 400+ dollars out of my…

Avant took 400+ dollars out of my checking account without permission. My bank account was closed down because Avant took money that was not in the checking account. I have filed a dispute with my bank, and my bank will put my small amount of my money back into my account as I would have to wait 2 to 3 weeks for Avant to fix it. I will be closing this Avant card down. They are not to be trusted.

Total scam

Total scam. They did not accept the bank card which I intended to pay, saying that it was a debit card and not a credit card. OK. My husband had a card that would have been good for them, but then we must change the reservation to my husband's name. The lady at the desk claimed she couldn't do it. I hade to call the callcenter. On the Sunday afternoon, I was only able to talk to an chatboot about rebooking. Then they told me that I have to buy the premium insurance, which cost about as much as the car rental itself. So I paid double the price compared to what I had planned. So they couldn't change the name on the reservation, but they could sell a premium insurance to get a car. All this after waiting for an hour and a half, because the speed at which the lady worked was about one client per half hour.

I wish I could give zero stars

I wish I could give zero stars. It’s been a month and I’ve never received the card yet I still got an online statement that says I owe $59 for an annual fee. I’ve never received or activated anything. I’ve been dealing back and forth for 2 weeks now and still no resolution. Definitely a scam company.

This is a very unreliable app

This is a very unreliable app. Very frustrating. It was out of action for the last couple of weeks, partly because I did not have time to spend on hold waiting to talk to someone. This is not the app's first offence! Thankfully I got through quickly this time. It's fixed today by uninstalling and reinstalling, not something you want to when you are out and about or away. Was there an Android update recently, might that be the cause - this time.

Confusing and stressful experience.

The statements they issue to customers are as clear as mud and contradictory in their lay out. They give a total amount due as a minimum payment, which is NOT the amount actually due. Aso the system leads customers to believe that if they pay their last bill balance in full they will avoid finance charges. In fact if you miss one payment being paid in full they will apply a charge for the next two months. This is hidden in the small text down amongst the Ts & Cs , which you have no chance to scroll down to given the appalling one minute time out applied by them if you are viewing online. It seems they are deliberately giving customers little opportunity to study and understand.

I don't recommend

I don't recommend only of you want to destroy your credit score. Declined with 3600 euro salary monthly from 2 jobs after tax. Also having 2 small loans with them, always paid on time (6 months remaining to pay) and no other loans anywhere. One full time job with 2800 euro paid monthly and one partime 160 weekly.I was called by a person from their company asking me if my salary from the part time job is my monthly salary, they already having the last 6 payslips (3 from full time job and 3 from part time job). You will realize how well informed the gentleman who called me was.(this staff is totally beside the point). Was provided the last 6 payslips from both jobs. Customer care ....:))), people who check the documents ... :)))

STAY AWAY THEY DONT WANT YOU TO REPAY LOAN

This review to express my dissatisfaction, with the customer service provided by Avant Money. My recent experience in trying to pay off a loan has been incredibly frustrating. I feel it's important to share my concerns.

I started the loan repayment process seven weeks ago. Despite my efforts I'm still waiting for a confirmation letter in the mail confirming that the loan has been fully paid off. This delay is not just inconvenient. Also has implications for my mortgage application, which is now being unnecessarily delayed.

I've called Avant Money times over the seven weeks to inquire about the status of the letter. Unfortunately, every time I call they inform me that the letter is "on its way." The lack of a resolution and constant delays in receiving the documentation are causing me a lot of distress and inconvenience.

In an attempt to escalate this matter I requested a callback, from a manager. To my disappointment they informed me that it would take 48 hours for this process. Unfortunately, I still haven't received any callback yet further prolonging the resolution of this issue and adding to my frustration.
The customer service team, at Avant Money is incredibly inefficient and unresponsive which is completely unacceptable. This does not affect my commitments but also specifically impacts my mortgage application.

I strongly urge Avant Money to address this problem and find a solution to the delays in providing the paperwork. This experience has not damaged my perception of Avant Money. Has also raised concerns about the dependability and effectiveness of their customer service procedures.

I sincerely hope that my feedback prompts an examination of your customer service practices ensuring that others do not encounter difficulties, in the future.

Stay away from this Company I'm…

Stay away from this company I'm trying to cancelle the card for two years of which I've never used or spent on. I now found that they took me off there mailing list and added on the Goverment Tax with interest for a year adding up to €150 and sent the debt to The Irish Credit Beuro. Disgraceful company!!

Think again before applying!

Anyone considering their credit card or anpost credit card think again. they will charge cash advance and high interest on almost everything. for them paying your Revolute, pay via Paypal, or buying a lottery ticket online or gambling or pay on the MoneyGram app, anything is cash advance, no single other credit card in Ireland counts those transactions as cash advance they will charge up 3-4% on that plus higher interest. I have a case going on with the financial regulator I advise anyone who is being charged unfair fees to also lodge a case against them at the financial regulator

Consumer beware this company is predatory! This is one of the worst financial products on the market. This company continuously changes the monthly payments to randomly outrageous amounts and also reports you late on your payments even when you pay on time.

CHARGED LATE FEES FOR THERE MISTAKE

Well l'd like to advise anyone here please please please do not waste your time with an avant credit card its one problem after another from start to finish firstly they couldn't get my standing order or direct debit to work had to make manual payments and kept getting late charges same thing happened with my wifes Avant card when l tried to complain the idiot on the phone wrote my complain down on a piece of paper and said will there be anything else the complaint never went any where or was never actioned or taken seriously!!!

Fraudulent Transactions not refunded

Had a fradulent trans on my card in Feb, I didn't notice as i wasn't using the card. This turned into a recurring (6 of so months €50 each time) trans which put me OL. Called 6 times, 1st was told fraud would contact me - they didn't. Called back, was told fraud lead time was 30 days (not told this the first time). Over 30 days passed, no contact from fraud. On the 4th call I was told only 1 trans amount refunded. On 5th call was finaly told that only one trans was all they were liable to refund, I was told a manager would call me within 24 hours, they called me 48 hours later while travelling abroad, arranged a call back for a week later, they didn't call. 6th call to complain about no manager call back, awaiting call back. This has gone on for 4 months now, Service terrible. What I'm really concerned about is that Avant fraud department do not seem to care that a recurring fraudulent trans appeared on my card from a company that I have never used and don't seem interested in finding out how as they have never contacted me. Why would I want to keep a CC with this company when this can happen again and more likely as they don't seem to be interested in investigating why to put preventative measures in place.

Processed and accepted in under 30 hours without a problem. Having a background in Underwriting, I commend them. Other negative reviewers need to understand that Underwriting can be a lengthy process as we all carry different risks.
