Lowered limit after 4 months -no legit reason…
Avant card approved my application with a 1500 dollar limit when I first got this card. Avant lowered my limit from 1500 to 500 only four months into having this account for the following reasons - length of time this account has been established.. (what kind of logic is that? They opened the account with 1500! They new it was NEW account when it was opened! Frequency of over limit activity? The card was never above 400 dollar balance! And I pay I pay the bill early and in FULL. They further stated Utilization level on the account- the utilization was never above 26%, of course until they lowered the limit. Utilization became 60% because balance at time they lowered was 300. But when I charged 300 my limit was 1500. At this point I then paid in full and closed the account. Their offer was a bait and switch. Approve you for 1500 and get you to take the card and then lower you 4 months later to 500 in hopes your desperate enough to keep the card. #AVOIDAVANT

Tried to get a refinance loan as they’re offering a cheaper rate so I would save €200 a month . have a great credit history . They never reviewed my documents, refused the loan . When I phoned looking for a reason they said they couldn’t trust I would pay off the current loan .isn’t this the whole idea of refinance??? I asked them to transfer the funds directly to the current bank & they wouldn’t do it. Seems like a scam company false advertising loans with cheaper interest rates that don’t exist! Will be going to the ombudsman!

Approved and after 3 day's declined letter . They didn't even check my payslip or bank statement or even i.d .. just waste of time ...... No explanation zero customer service.

Catherine Foley ( possible spelt wrong ) is head of customer service there. Her claim. 20yrs experience was also stated to me.
She is extremely rude, arrogant and not very good at listening. She has all the answers and knows it all thus does not need to listen or need to explain her answers as I should already know, it seems.
She would ask questions, not allow an answer and ask more questions. You end up partly answering 1 question and have 3 more questions. Personality traits that do not suit her position and role.
She reminded me of the scene in "Goodfellas" as all she was interested in was "FXXX YOU PAY ME"
I would suggest that for a problem to be resolved BOTH parties have to be able to communicate by means that suits them both.
I have a very complicated situation and I am trying to explain this to her and resolve the issues by written means. I need a paper trail as calls , case in point, get no where. I have tried to call already. This would be my 3rd time.
Side note - Jodi - A very nice young women that I spoke to. At least there is some hope for the department there.

I have paid ontime for over a year, never went over the limit, paid the $59 fee for having the card twice, and my credit score has went up from the time I received this card. Misleading/ scam?
I'm so skeptical at this point bc I received a mail pre approval that stated an amount but when I completed the application online it approved for half of the offer. In addition, I received a follow email stating 1 to 2 days and I will hear back. It's been 8 days and 5 emails ( all stating all done!! ....) yet when I called,I gave my customer ID 2 times & then I was told the team is reviewing application. I have given my demographics multiple times as I'm beginning to feel are they reviewing my credit/employment income verification or my ethnicity/race?? Very distasteful

Applied for loan. Application accepted same day. All documents checked accepted. Today 3rd week started and still waiting for fund to be transfer in to my bank. Don't waste your time go with other bank. I applied with boi and fund in account within 3 days

The application process and information…
The application process and information verification was a bit nerve-wracking but once I was able to finish the application process things went very smoothly. I will recommend this card to everyone who is looking for a credit card. Always remember that all credit cards and loan applications take a little time to verify and complete, sometimes they need a little more information to get it approved, relax it will get done,,it just doesn't happen sometimes as quickly as we think. I have had a very positive interaction with this company and I am very happy with them !!!!!!! Relax and be patient and all things will work out as you need them too!!!!!!!
Slow process, allow plenty of time.
I applied to top up a personal loan so that I could change my car. The loan was approved in principal by the RPA process immediately, but it was into the following week before it started to move anywhere. It may have been shorter, but the document handling and approval system as well as communication on document issues was not smooth, so there were some delays that could have been avoided. This then coupled with a bank holiday, meant my loan was going to go into a third week. To be fair to Avant, after speaking with them and expressing my frustration, they responded well and got it over the line. Time from application to money in the bank, you should allow for 9-10 working days (longer if you have any credit history issues i'd say). While I would have loved to throw the toys out of the pram and just walk away, they still have the best rates. I thought about it, but the reviews of nearest competitor (An Post Money) just as bad. That being said, I wouldn't recommend Avant to anyone that lacks patience or is in a rush, you will only end up frustrated. The review should be 3 stars for the service I received, but i gave them back 1 star for still having the best rates in town. Avant, get the process quicker, document handling smoother and engage with your customers and these reviews. You have an opportunity to have not only the best rates, but to actually show you care about customer reviews. Don't ignore your customers and their feedback.

This is far the worst credit company. Tried to contact them numerous times to cancel my account but it's hard as a steel to reach them but then if they offer you something, they're as quick as lightning and their contact number is not call free.havent used my card for at least 3 years but I have to pay €75+ for government tax and penalty..horrible experience
Hassle free and good rates
Had a great experience with an Avant loan application to money in my account within 5 days. Approval was pretty much instant and couple of days for doc review. As this was time sensitive I rang a few times to get an update and everyone was friendly and helpful. All in all a good experience and a great rate.

Stay away if you value your mental health
I wish I read these reviews before applying for a loan with Avant, absolutely diabolical. The savings on a loan are not worth the stress of dealing with this company. Loan application is with them 3 weeks for a car which the garage are holding for me. I'm now backed into a corner to take hire purchase to pay for the car as avant have wasted so much of my time and I do not have the option of waiting another week to apply to another lender. Ran around the houses and told it's with management. Stay well away. I'm actually mortified and stressed out because the garage has queried so many times what's happening.
Don't bother with Avant loans
I applied for a home improvement loan online and received approval in principle on March 7th. All docs uploaded March 10th. Since then there have been no updates other than when I have called. Every time I called they told me it would be another couple of days. On March 30th they queried a transaction on my bank statement that was quite obviously a payment to the solicitor for the house I am trying to improve. Since then it looks I'm back at the start of the queue. Based on the approval I booked in builders, plumbers and electrician and have been paying them with family loans, kids savings and credit card. I cLled Avant yesterday and explained the situation I'm in and that this delay is longer than my mortgage app not, and affecting my mental health with the stress. The lady first laughed, then offered me sympathy while telling me she could tell me nothing about my application. My recommendation is do not trust Avant and do not use them for loans. I don't believe they are serious about medium to large loans, its just a gimmick to raise profile. I have since started an app with an established bank.
Absolutely Useless Timewasters
Applied for a car loan 2 months ago and gave all required documentation to them upon application. Finally got "approved in principle" 2 weeks ago and still waiting on final complete approval. Have gone to another financial institution in that time and gotten finance and full approval for the same rate. Use Avant if you place no premium on your own time and don't mind if you don't get approval. Trustpilot doesn't have Zero as a scoring option, which I would gladly give Avant were it there.

Wouldnt even give them 1 star absolute joke , applied and waited a week of constant putting documents, then received an email to submit my iban and bic and all of a sudden 2 days later it wasn't approved, would never deal with them again , rang and they said the email looking for my bank details was never sent and it clearly was

Solicite un préstamo, porque me mandaron msj. He solicitado varios prestamos en linea por eso no se me hizo raro ese mensaje de invitación, pero te piden el 3% del préstamo lo cual es una mier-da, no deben depositar no crean en eso... Lo único que me preocupa son mis datos, y que me vayan a querer meter un préstamo que yo no saque.
