'Awful. Started process for credit card on 3rd Nov 2021. Approved quickly. Got continuous emails to contact them. 'Only option is phone, average wait time 30 mins every time. Allegedly sent card 1st Dec. Nothing arrived. Then allegedly sent again 20th Dec, they've still never arrived! (Feb 2022!) 'Decided to cancel as just awful customer service given and no card! 'Advised incorrectly there was a charge!!!!
Letter of complaint sent, ridiculous reply received attempting to explain away the really poor experience.
Do yourself a favour, don't use this outfit. All sorted with new bank.

Useless online loan application process. My advise is apply to a real bank with a real application process and customer support. Cheap rates obviously for a reason.

What an absolute joke of a bank. Tell me over the phone my application would be approved and to just wait for an email. It took 2 weeks to get a decision on my loan application. Staff are very unprofessional on the phone. Id avoid these cowboys at all costs..not worth the hassle.

Terrible process end to end
Terrible process end to end. Uploaded documents multiple times and they kept getting rejected. Finally managed to get someone on the phone after 30 days and they could see that the credit team had made a mistake and missed where the proof of address was on the document. Even though it was their fault they said I would need to start a new application instead of rectifying on their end. Shambles of a process
Very disingenuous company to deal with
Called the company yesterday for an update on an application and was told by a member of the credit team that it had been approved and that the contract would be sent out later that day. Later that day came and in stead of the contract confirmed over the phone by the credit team I received a rejection. I followed up by emailing and have received no response from 2 emails sent asking as to why I was told it was finalized and the paperwork was being sent out and then having it rejected instead. Very bad service and no way to follow up bar calling and staying on hold for over 30 minutes or writing in to their company address.
Absolutely appalling company
Absolutely appalling company. Honestly never ever reach out to this company. You could call this company 5 times and every single person you speak with will tell you a different story. They will pre approve your loan, ask you to upload your documents (this is after 2 people saying it has been declined) and then someone calling you saying it is approved, saying once you upload the docs you will hear in 24 hrs, 48 hrs pass and still nothing. Embarrassing company. I will call my reliable bank tomorrow and never reach out to Avant again. Ever. You can also tell that they do not care about customer service as they never respond to reviews on Trustpilot. This is a fraudulent company who advises you it takes 24 hours for a decision and 2 weeks later there is no decision. Do not send them your documentation because you will just see standard wording "awaiting verification" with no movement far beyond the time they have advised. Do not give them your private documents.
Very bad service
Very bad service, applied for a loan on Wednesday Nov 17th and uploaded all documents that were requested and it told me the loan was approved. Come Friday heard nothing and the document upload still said awaiting verification of documents so I rang customer service and spoke to a guy who said " Oh just keep an eye out on your email " which I did and nothing so now its Monday the 22nd and it still is the same, no call nothing and no communication. I applied to my own bank for a loan and was approved and the funds are in my account already. I will never approach Avant again for anything, if this is how bad they are for a personal loan I would not go near them for a mortgage as who knows what that would be like. Very bad form I remember Avant when they were MBNA as I was a customer and they were never this bad. Avant you need to sort your process out and be more efficient.

The Irish staff are great, but they are only avaliable M-F. Then it's over to British customer support, who have been dishonest me, more than once. The Customer Care Teem decline your card without good reason, and block your card in the wrong! They claim to have called you about the issue, when they don't, they can't evidence their aledged call, there's never a missed call on your phone, and there's never a voicemail from them. Yet, they confirm the correct phone number for you, when you quiz them on it. SO, THAT'S EVIDENCE OF AVANT TELLING LIES!! They cannot be relied upon for the provision of important financial services. You should always log a formal complaint against Avant, when they fail you, and don't be afraid to refer it to the Ombudsman, if you don't get satisfaction from the Avant complaints team. Hopefully, the Regulator will finally kick them, if enough of us complain about this terrible service!. Sadly, this is not the first time, that I've had issues with bad customer service from Avant, as the Avant Complaints Team will very well know!!!
5K Euro Credit Limit with Fast Turnaround & Smooth Easy Process.
I am very impressed and delighted with the service from Avant Money, Ireland. The process from start to finish was hassle-free. Recently separated and restarting life again, I applied online for a credit card at 1 am to see what this was all about, An agent from Avant rang me before mid-day to request more documentation, which I sent immediately, and later got approved before 8 pm. The card with a 5k Euro Credit limit arrived 5 days later. I could not believe the amount until the card arrived in my hands. I began to wonder if all these other negative reviews on this site are actually real or paid for by Avant Money's competitors. Look here guys, if you're looking to rebuild your credit, Avant is the way to go.

Applied for a credit card and I must say it is a very efficient process from start to finish. Customer great to deal with. Best reward card in the market. I will recommend to my friends.
Worst lender in the market
Worst lender in the market. Customer service & underwriting poor to say the least. Only way to raise a complaint is to write a letter as customer service avoid the process on the phone. Long term this deplorable service will lose them their customers. It’s not just about rates!!!

Impossble to cancel account
I cancelled my account and cleared it over 2 years ago and was told by an agent that I owed them nothing.
A year ago, I got a mail with my "new monthly statement": 11 cents! I sent them a mail telling them that I had cleared my account and cancelled it. No reply.
Then today I received a new mail with my "new monthly statement". I have no card, I have no account, no password, so I don't know what they claim that I owe them this time.
Avoid them! They won't let you go, they won't listen. It is frightening really. Terrible company.

I pay monthly by phone and the automated services absolutely awful, it can take five attempts to make a payment!!! It’ll tell you that your not recognised, it’ll get to a certain stage and cut off and you’ll have to start again it’s the only service I have ever come across as bad. Perhaps they want us to miss payments …. Oh maybe that’s just my evil mind.
