website is always down, very annoying when you want to make a payment before deadline.......makes you wonder.
Absolutely a nightmare to deal with…
Absolutely a nightmare to deal with this mortgage provider. 8 weeks later and no decision but more queries and same questions again and again . Lazy & unprofessional staff that won’t bother looking trough the files provided . Got approved by 2 diff banks weeks before. Would not recommend them whatsoever, the diff in interest rate is not worth the hassle , and by the looks of these reviews, their customer service and their services are appalling . 10 times faster dealing directly with a bank that via a mortgage broker . You can clear up any questions fast , not like this .Stay away if you have any other options!

Avoid . 5 days awaiting decision . Call today saying should have decision in a "few" days . So slow ,have since got funding else where but leaving this application open to see how long it actually takes
Avantcard "customer service"= meh...
As with other posts here, customer service is horrendous! 35 mins on the phone and still no response... quick to remind you about your minor transgressions, but not so quick in dealing with theirs!
I have my credit card with them, if people are thinking of using them for a mortgage, think twice...
I've ticked the box to let Avantcard know of the review, but seriously doubt any response, I will probably have switched provider before they respond

Beyond frustrating!
Worst customer service! Locked out of our online account. Tried the "forgot password" option but none of my details were recognised, even though i KNOW they were entered correctly. Tried ringing at least 5 times only to be waiting for 30 minutes each time then to be cut off without speaking to anyone. 30 euro phone credit wasted! Also as soon as the automated service kicks in the slightest noise effects your options, soooo frustrating!! Only option i thought was to send an email but no email address found! Now im getting texts telling me my monthly payment is late!! How am i supposed to make a payment if i cant get on my online account or get through on the on the phone! As soon as my account is cleared i will be cancelling my card and finding a better company.

Extremely bad customer service - avoid!
I've had a credit card with AvantCard (now AvantMoney) for quite a number of years. But having recently transferred my balance to a provider offering 0% interest for 15 months I then wrote to AvantCard to cancel my account/card with them, in compliance with the stated terms and conditions.
I then received a call from a customer services rep. wanting to speak to me about my letter. I refused to answer security questions as I didn't know this person from Adam so they asked if I would call back, which I attempted to do 3 times... and was kept on hold for so long each time I just had to hang up. Beware anyone needing to speak to someone in AvantMoney/AvantCard with a query, you have a better chance of winning the lottery!
I'm still no wiser as to whether or not my account has been closed as requested, time will tell. But from a customer service point of view I would recommend that you not touch them with a barge pole!

Got a loan from them back in Dec 2020. Fairly straightforward process - no massive paperwork or anything. Only downside is that there doesn’t seem to be a portal to view / manage the loan.
Misleading ads - DON'T waste your time!
This company is truly awful. Applied for a loan which they strung out for days, completely wasting my time. Based it on their misleading ads - more fool me. I was rejected for no reason even though I earn a high salary with a very good credit rating. Do not make the same mistakes I did and avoid this company like the plague - stick with the regular Irish banks or credit union.

I will look at taken legal action against avantcard Ireland plus make an official report to the central bank of their abuse and have put me in i feel like kill my self and finish it I have heart problems going to James Connolly living on 224 euros I tried to work out plan but no agreement I also think highlighting this on the Joe Duffy show and tell others of the abuse I am getting. never do business with this company they are very abused to their customers I also looking set facebook customers to have a say

to 0 and found after a month that I had a balance again!!!!!!Avantcard were charging me an admin fee......then because I didn’t pay my balance on time as I assumed I had cleared it they burdened me with a hefty late fee of 15 euro!They are beyond believe and I would question the ethical and legal practices of these vultures!!AVOID

Applying for a loan is an arduous process. The website claims fast and easy application.
Currently 4 days waiting just for uploaded docs status to change from Awaiting Verification. If Approved could take over 10 days to money to hit account.
The are slow and fairly gruff in their attitude when speaking with you. You would think the person on the phone is giving you money from their own pocket instead of charging you 7k on a 40k loan. For that kind of margin you would think they would at least have a better attitude.
On the other hand BOI have great customer service but the loan process is very manual and have to call into branches with paperwork. But at this stage I think they might be faster end to end without the exaggerated claims and attitude.

Had to tell them cancel the application. Over 10 days later they are still coming back to me for documentation that should have been requested on day 1.
At this point they have 2 payslip, 6 months of bank statements, statement of incor private limited company. Assessment for previous year from Revenue. A revenue doc showing my income and tax deductions and a copy of my current contract with is for 95k per year. Each doc was requested separately over many days. (they also refuse to confirm that these docs have been deleted form their system and not just sitting in someone's mailbox)
I am a home owner with no mortgage and zero dependents. Been working in IT for 20 years without any break in employment.
Everyone I spoke with in this company was very unpleasant.
I would imagine with this kind of service they'll be out of business within 5 years.

I have a good credit rating never in debt always pay credit card. Not client they want as i am now getting stopped payments, security checks, even paypal through my Avantcard is a problem, so much so that they can't refuse me a credit card on my credit rating but make it impossible to use it or very expensive with hidden charges. Seriously have to be worst card out there. Read reviews.

On internet it says zero percent balance transfer interest fees for 6 months of getting card, when I asked customer service regarding balance transfer, he mentioned it’s 3 month. He himself was not sure at all what’s policy. Overall poor service and quite expensive and site misleading
Don't event think about it
I can't stress highly enough that if you're in the market for a credit card you avoid Avant like the plague. Crazy high interest rates - and even when you secure a lower one with them they sneakily hike it back up. I called a few years ago for a settlement figure on the owed balance and was told if I paid them off it would adversely affect my Credit score - unreal!!!!! I had no hesitation in expressing my disgust at this as this is the kind of sharp practise that terrifies people. In my opinion and experience Avant are total sharks - not remotely surprised to see such bad reviews for them here. Do yourself a favour - AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!
Loan rates are inconsistent
I got a loan of 20k last Feb at 6.1 % APR. I repaid it in 3 months. I just applied for another 20k but they are saying due to my credit score it is at 9.7% APR. Even though I have checked my credit history and it is perfect i.e no missed payments on loans in the past and all were cleared early. I am in a better position now than last year, in the same job on the same money with more savings than last year! This makes no sense! Do not trust them!
Worse than BAD!
Experience of dealing with this company was worse than bad. My 85 year old mother was sent an Avantcard without requesting one. The card has never been registered or used but Avantcard keep sending letters looking for documents which are threatening in tone and partially in BOLD red font. My mother has problems with sight and hearing so I contacted Avantcard customer service which was a complete waste of time. Avoid.
