Can't spend the night on Millbrook mattress

I recently bought a Millbrook mattress for £1090
It is so hot that I can't spend the night on it, or if I do I will be extremely tired the next day as I don't get into deep sleep. This is apparently not a fault with the mattress. By the way I've had no trouble sleeping in hot countries, Australia, India, South East Asia etc. I can also sleep on sofa and even the floor, but I cannot sleep on this mattress. I shouldn't have wasted my money!

I can't promise this will be resolved for you to your satisfaction as typically being hot in bed is not a fault of the mattress as such. Millbrook mattresses are actually renowned for being very breathable due to natural fillings.

Best price and quick delivery!

We ordered our bedframe online. Beds Are Uzzz were the cheapest and the delivery was super quick, we even had an hour time slot for delivery which was very useful. Our bed is lovely, feels very solid and in excellent brand new condition. Highly recommend. Thank you.

Fantastic service from Maidenhead…

Fantastic service from Maidenhead Branch
We went in to the Maidenhead shop and received wonderful customer service. We had our toddler with us and the man showing us the different mattress options was amazing with him. He even stood at the top of the stairs the entire time so my son could not fall down them which was so kind and helpful. He was honest and informative and the delivery was on time and efficient. Definitely would recommend!

Great service

Ordered a mattress from the southbourne branch, the service was fantastic from first enquiry through to delivery. We were kept up to date with the expected delivery date and received friendly service throughout. We are really pleased with the mattress which is great quality and will last for years. Great company to deal with

Great company to deal with, cannot fault them, excellent customer service, thank you Paul for all your help.
They went out of their way to collect a mattress from Tempur for us to collect from their showroom before we moved abroad.

Unresponsive to online/email messages

We want to buy £5,000+ of Nolte wardrobes and drawers. When you get Beds are Uzzz's attention they're quite helpful, but the response to online/email messages is poor. Once we had decided what we wanted I emailed them twice to get a quote, but no reply. Will now go with R&M Interiors in Leyton, who have been super helpful (and who actually have a large range of Nolte furniture on display).

Exceptionally poor service and damaged products

Unfortunately I had exceptionally poor service from Bedsareuzzz

I used them as I was hoping for better service that bigger stores, but I was sadly mistaken

Placing the order was easy and the initial chap I dealt with in Dorchester was great, so much so that I bought more items than initially planned

Then it all went wrong

The delivery was late, I chased the store, spoke to a different person and found out no one had bothered to ensure my delivery was ready and in fact the mattress was still missing.

Delivery was good, the guys carried things upstairs for me, but I noticed all the boxes had varying levels of damage. So I opened them carefully and took loads of photos. Opening things up I found the bed and bedside tables were damaged

I contacted the store, was asked for photos and was told they would be replaced.

Having heard nothing I called the branch and was treated somewhat rudely by being told replacing items isn’t quick and they needed to wait for the supplier, that’s fine but at least let your customer know that

So I called head office to get details as I had a bed I didn’t want to build as I knew i would have to strip it apart.

The replacement items were shipped to store, delivery was agreed and the delivery guys unwrapped and checked everything before bringing it in. And they found damage to the bed again.

So back round the process of photos and waiting.

Finally months after ordering I have all the items - I think the mattress is now out of the 90 day trial period.

It’s a shame as the bed and furniture look lovey and I was going to buy a second set for the spare room. But I would rather try and find a business that want custom
Such a shame as the high street is loosing out to online businesses, and then a company like this shows why the high street is failing.

They could have done so much better, I understand damage can occur in manufacturing and shipping. But I had to do all the chasing and never once did anyone give a genuine apology for the problems and delays.

It is seriously unfortunate that you received two beds that were both damaged, I am pleased to hear that all items were replaced and they look great in your room.

We pride ourselves on customer service and are sad to hear we have fallen short of that in your opinion. I have spoken with Martin Donnelly who is a Senior Partner within the group and he has agreed that if you wish to purchase another bed from Dorchester he will personally apply some additional discounts to you as goodwill.

Should be called Beds Are Uzzzed?

Should be called Beds Are Uzzzed or at least Beds Are Secondzzz and it would seem they are a great price for a reason
I noticed a few marks, like ink or felt tip on the sides of the new mattress, then when we turned the mattress noticed there was a missing tuft along with another red mark on the top.
Then after a few weeks we noticed a faint palm sized stain, only noticeable when the light caught it.
I emailed BRU several times and received a non matching replacement tuft in the post the first time and polite lip service blaming the manufacturers thereafter.
That was the last I heard from them.
We relegated our mattress to the spare room and purchased another elsewhere which was more expensive but in perfect condition.
Goes without saying that neither I nor my extensive family will make another purchase from Beds Are Uzzz

Fantastic service 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I first contacted Bedsareuzz on Thursday 7th March asking them to price match a Dormeo octaspring memory foam topper, initially they declined to match Costco’s price but after another email they agreed, Alex was so helpful in getting everything sorted, and the topper got ordered on the 8th March and dispatched the same day through Yodel, and I was given the tracking number, on Monday the topper was delivered without any problems and in perfect condition. Since I started using it I haven’t had a bad night sleep, although the topper is expensive it is more than worth it, it has turned an uncomfortable mattress into a bed that I don’t want to get out of in the morning. Bedsareuzz were great from start to finish 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟.

Delivery staff (Panther Logisitics)…

Delivery staff (Panther Logisitics) were aggressive, intimidating, unprofessional, used my neighbours bin without permission to get rid of packaging, and parked illegally in the middle of a dual carriageway endangering themselves and other drivers, despite the use of a driveway and ample parking along our road. Your driver also argued non-stop with my elderly mother, my elderly OAP father and myself. In fact I can’t believe you sent these cowboys to my house.
We also had to wait 6 weeks for our head board as their delivery staff lost it, we had to accept two deliveries from this company.

Beds Are Uzzz - disappointing

I bought a tempur bed from Beds Are Uzzz and I have been so totally disappointed in the service.

I ordered my Tempur ottoman bed on the 8th Jan 2019 and was informed it would be dropped at the depot the following Friday. It would then be collected by the courier and delivery arranged. There had been some confusion about that arrangement but despite various conversations decided to let it go.

Delivery was finally arranged for Thursday 31st Jan between 7:00 - 11:00 am, the old bed had been dismantled to make way for the new bed. At 10:30 I received a call notifying me that the van had broken down and they were awaiting a breakdown company to arrive to confirm whether it was repairable. Again by 13:30 I was contacted and informed that delivery would have to be rescheduled and this was arranged for Saturday 2nd Feb. I wasn’t happy as I had booked the day off work and then made arrangements to do other things after the bed was delivered which had to be cancelled.

On Saturday 2nd Feb I got a call from the delivery driver to confirm he was only 10 mins away. Once the delivery guys had arrived they bought the first box into the house and then thought that was it. Luckily I knew there were three boxes so they went back to the van but only found one additional box. Various conversations were then held with both keen and able the couriers and Chris at Beds are Uzzzzz.

As it currently stands I have a bed that is not fit for purpose in the master bedroom along with my bed that was being replaced (rather cramped).

No-one seems to know where the other parts of the bed are.

I’m so upset it’s cost a lot of money and I’ve had nothing but stress, and a huge amount of inconvenience.

First class service

Bought a double and kingsize divan set from Beds Are Uzzz in Bournemouth,and the service was excellent! They helped us find the right fabric, firmness and even helped us to measure to make sure they'd fit in our rooms. Would definitely visit the next time I need a bed.

Most unhelpful

I purchased a mattress and a base in 2016. I was recommended by a friend. I had problems with the mattress after a year or so. I found Beds are Uzz most unhelpful. All sweet talk no action. I had to throw away the bed and have now bought it from John Lewis. I do not like writing negative thing but it cost me £1500.

Misleading!

Although our bed has been delivered on the agreed date and we received a phone call from the driver one hour prior to delivery, I have not given Beds Are Uzzz a better rating because I feel that the driver offering for my husband to pay an additional charge there and then to assemble our bed was very unprofessional, especially as one said £10 and the other £15 when he asked how much. I may have considered this had it been offered at the time of purchase but was told it was included in the price. Since calling the store, they’ve advised that they no longer offer this service, after damaging the material when doing so in the past, but that we could pay the driver if we wanted to. So what would have happened if he had damaged it? The store obviously wouldn't take responsibility but how are people to know the driver was just trying his luck and it wasn't something the company offer? Luckily we could assemble it ourselves but for those that can't, it's extremely unfair. I do love our bed and did receive good service initially from the Hemel Hempstead store so it just a shame to now feel mislead and disappointed!

As a rule services like installation of the new bed or disposal are done at point of sale or prior to delivery so I want to see what happened here. We do also use third parties from time to time to fulfil some of our deliveries so it would be good to know if it was our in-house team or third party.

Bed arrives in bits

Ordered a bed from the Hemel store and asked for it to be assembled. I wasn't advised that there would be a charge for this. When it came to delivery, the drivers refused to assemble the bed or unpack the heavy packaging and left a box of over 100 parts. When I called up the store to query, the person I spoke with would not let me complete a sentence without talking over and me and said there was nothing he could do about the situation. Subsequently a colleague of his came back the following day to advise that the Ts and Cs mention that a separate charge needs to be paid for assembly and that we hadn't arranged this. Assembly was asked for in the store and no mention of any charge was made at the time. If I wanted a flat pack bed, I would have gone to IKEA.
