Delivered mouldy bread, no replacement or refund

VERY ANNOYED I have just unpacked my delivery. They have changed their ingredients to have toxic seed oils (sunflower) in pesto. It does not say this on their website. What a very dishonest thing to do.

I've never enjoyed anything by Biona foods. Every time there's 'something missing'. Don't know what it is - flavour? They know how to make something organic and how to get the organic credentials but they have no expertise in food preparation, combination or gastronomy. Even chocolate covered nuts - there's something missing. Bland. How can you mess up chocolate? The £4.00 mini spring rolls are truly disgusting - the packaging says 'delicous eaten cold'. Someone should take them to court!!

Bought a few of these on Amazon Fresh recently and guess what... all of them were diluted with beetroot juice (which I really dislike actually)

I reached out to customer service after finding a foreign object in a jar of kimchi. After providing all the details to them, accompanied by photos and having sent the object to them (at my expense), they first claimed not to have received it, then when I provided a full description of the envelope and packaging, they 'received it' over a month later. They then refunded me the cost of the jar, but sent it via PayPal, who took a fee, so I did not get the whole refund. Then they went totally silent and have not provided any explanation as to how a lump of hard plastic got into the jar, nor why they didn't fully refund me in full, which they promised to do over THREE MONTHS AGO!

Ordered organic sauerkraut. I was upset it was pasteurised but apparently that is just how it goes unless it is refrigerated. I can't complain. It is otherwise healthy. My dad says it's nice enough. Ordered peanut butter, tomato juice, and lemon juice. All very well packaged in easily recycled or reusable material. Yet to try those. Might update as I believe these negative reviews look a bit suspicious here on trustpilot. Not fair. All seems decent quality. I will update when we try the rest. Good quality deserves genuine feedback. All good so far

Great organic food. Sustainable sources. Well packaged with no plastic. Fast delivery.

Avoid. Shocking experience with some of their oils. Rotten and of poorest quality. I know because I sometimes buy oils from the producer directly so I have a comparison. What Biona sells you is cheapest rubbish, totally processed and unhealthy. They charge you premium price and deliver lowest quality. Customer service is unresponsive and uninterested in any real feedback.

Do not be deceived by the Organic title. I purchased pumpernickel bread, which was so sweet in taste, that under a magnifying glass discovered that the second ingredient is Sugar. I contacted Biona customer service, about my dissatisfaction; they're simply did not want to know. This is a company who deal with consumer complaints with complete apathy. Zero star is more appropriate.

Had no problems ordering direct from Biona. Love their rye bread and happy to buy bonsan products without stupid amounts of plastic packaging that bigger health companies use.

I recently purchased a jar of artichoke hearts. They were tough and I nearly choked on some barbed bits that were included. I have cooked fresh artichokes and eaten the hearts being very careful to remove the choke. I will never buy the ones in a jar again. They aren't cheap either.

Everything I've gotten from Biona for years has been consistently great. Great taste, great quality, great price compared to competitors.

The negative reviews here are daft: Of course your juice is pasteurised. They don't lie about that. No, it's not Biona's fault that your delivery man smashed the bottles - WHICH YOU ORDERED FROM AMAZON. I've gotten hundreds of items from Biona, and never once seen any insect - maybe STOP ORDERING THROUGH AMAZON.

Been drinking the tart cherry juice which is usually a good preventative for gout. In fact my gout has returned with a fury. I found out the 'organic' juice is actually pasteurised; on looking at the other drinks I bought from Biona, being from the Kombucha range I found that this is also pasteurised. Pasteurisation destroys much of what is good in these products. This is no good.

I bought a 6 pack of arborio risotto rice by Biona via Amazon - worst purchase ever. The first pack which I opened and started to use was fine but when I went to the other 5 unopened packs which I had stored they were not only teeming with horrible black weevils but the nasty things had managed to get out of the supposedly still sealed bags and the ensuing days and months have been a complete nightmare as they seem to have invaded every area of our house and are extremely difficult to get rid of without using harmful chemical sprays which negates the purpose of buying organic food in the first place. This could all have been avoided with proper airtight strong packaging and/or manufacturer warning to freeze the items before use. Or better still if Biona had done this as they must be aware of this problem given the other similar reviews on Amazon too. I will NEVER purchase a Biona product again.

This company sells rice with a ready made weevil population. We now have an infestation in our home because of them. We stored the organic rice, which is not cheap, and these insects emerged from the badly sealed packages, and now they are literally everywhere in our house. When we discovered it, we saw them crawling through the rice. And even now we are still having to deal with them. They have infested all of our rooms, including the bedrooms. It is the company's responsibility to ensure they are selling a product that is pest free and consumable and not detrimental to health. The fact that they are selling this rice at a premium, given it's meant to be organic, and with a callous disregard of what it contains, is an absolute disgrace. Do not purchase from this company. Not only will you be ripped off, but you'll have your house infested to boot. Absolutely beyond angry.

Just the most fantastic company to deal with. What I love the most is their ethics. There is supermarket organic food - which is all about sales and marketing, and you never really know what the quality is. And then there are companies like Biona who are committed to the ethics of organic food, and have been for 30 years. To be honest, I worked for an organic food company 20 years ago and we used to get orders from Biona back then. I recently discovered them online selling direct to the public. They were a pleasure to deal with back then, and are a pleasure to deal with now. Great food, excellent customer service and I just so appreciate dealing with a company that I can trust.

I ordered a six pack of lemon juice from the Amazon website. As a result of awful packaging the bottles arrived smashed, the carton was soaked and as I opened the packaging I suffered a small cut. On looking at the reviews on Amazon, this has happened to several other customers and their photos looked identical to mine. When I tried to submit a similar review, mine was rejected by Amazon who said that reviews of packaging are not product reviews. In my opinion, the packaging is part of the product. Biona need to learn from other drinks companies how to package for transport. Their error was wrapping all six bottles in bubble wrap instead of wrapping each bottle individually. This caused the bottles to smash together in transit. I hope they improve.
