This company has dreadful customer service. They use the worst and equally dreadful courier (EVRI). I placed an order which hasn't arrived and when I contact their customer service keep being told to 'be patient'. Birkenstock, you're the worst. Avoid!

Absolute shambles
Absolute shambles - where's my order?! Not even a despatch notifcation. Really poor service, that's now not going to make it for my holiday.
Poor Quality Product
My wife bought me a pair of Birkenstock Zermatt Slippers for my birthday, but after six months of light, occasional, indoor wear, the ‘legendary, original footbed’ of which Birkenstock is renowned, has started to split on both slippers. My wife initially contacted Birkenstock, who understandably advised her to contact the seller - Dapper Street. My wife sent detailed photos of the slippers as requested by Dapper Street and was then asked to return the slippers at our own cost so the slippers could be assessed further. I’m not willing to throw good money after bad only to go through the rigmarole of trying to get an exchange or refund from Dapper Street or Birkenstock. My complaint is my wife paid a premium for what she thought was a quality pair of slippers, from a reputable company who supposedly take their sustainability and environmental commitments seriously. However, due to either poor quality or bad design, my expensive Birkenstock slippers have lasted barely six months. I have purchased slippers in the past for a fraction of the price that have lasted far longer. I won’t be buying Birkenstock products again.
Not a good experience
Not a good experience. They run big, returned for a smaller pair the returns process was a total pain! Ordered a second pair and they have taken over a week to arrive and I’ve had to leave for my holiday without them. No doubt they’ll be returned to Birkenstock and I’ll have to pay another £6 (six pounds!!!!!) for it to take over a week to deliver another pair. Awful customer service
A must buy!!!
These are my 2nd pair of Birkenstock Arizona’s and I can 100% recommend them! They’re so comfy, they’re reliable, they don’t give you blisters. These were the only shoes I packed for a 4 day trip to Valencia, did something like 60,000 steps over the weekend and not a single complaint about my feet, they were SO comfy and I have my full trust in them!
My shoes never arrived
My shoes never arrived and Birkenstock told me to wait and call them in a week. SHOCKING. From the choice of a dreadful delivery company like EVRI (previously HERMES) to the fact you cant get shoes delivered to their stores... DISGUSTING...
Worst customer service I have experienced
Very bad service overall. Late shipment without any explanation or good will gesture. Refunds do not arrive. It’s just been a hassle and a pain to deal with them. So much so that I will find another brand entirely to stick to. Never purchasing anything made by Birkenstock ever again. Extremely disappointing in all areas from the product to the service. Never again.
Refund was timely
I just wanted to leave this review because I was freaking out when I saw other reviews. My order unfortunately was left on my doorstep which isn’t their fault and as I was soon going on holiday, they said they would refund instead of sending more product which I was happy with. Refund came in a timely way just like any other retailer. Very happy with the service
Don’t waste your time or energy
Don’t waste your time or energy with Birkenstock online. I had to follow up many times for refund on return. I finally received money back over 2 months after they received the return. I then had the same slow refund for a faulty product. I had to send photos and then told they also had to inspect when shoes returned. I finally phoned and in fairness return was made then within a few days. However too little too late when I had spent 10 weeks on emails to the ‘customer service’ team. I will return to buying Birkenstock in shops, never again online!
Bad customer service, low quality goods
My Birkenstock slippers developed a hole over time within 18 months of wearing them around the house. There's no way slippers should wear out so quickly. After contacting their customer service, I sent them to Birkenstock in November 2023 to be examined by a specialist. It's February 2024 and they can tell me what's happening with them, an ETA on an update or next steps.
I'm currently out of slippers and out of cash, and there's no one on the end of an email that wants to help.
Owed over £300 - not processing refund
I sent some products back over 2 weeks ago and am still waiting for a refund. I have been fobbed off and promised a refund that hasn’t materialised. I have just called again to be told my refund is being ‘processed’ and actually they don’t know when I’ll get it and there’s nobody else I can speak to.
Appalling refund experience
I would give minus if I could. Took 8 weeks to get refunded for items that didn't fit that I returned the day after receiving them totalling over £350. Fortunately I kept all the paperwork and could prove they had received them back as they said they would have to start an investigation. Customer service was the worst I have ever encountered. No empathy for how i was feeling. The experience was truly distressing as I really thought they were not going to refund me. I would never buy from them again

Not dispatched after 3 weeks
After 3 weeks I’m still waiting for the slippers to be dispatched. Were supposed to be a Christmas gift. Very disappointed

Ordered boots almost 2 months ago. Was told they got sent to the courier (Evri) who then told me there was an issue with sending them out. Contacted Birkenstock on several occasions who said they would do a detailed review and then contact me. I’ve had to contact them on several occasions to even get a response. Asked for refund over a month ago and still nothing. Terrible, terrible customer service
SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE
SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE. Sandals returned to Birkenstock due to collapsing heal 3 months ago for a refund. They have acknowledged they have been received but they have STILL not refunded them. I have called every fortnight - the advisors ask for the SAME information and give the same response - your money will be refunded next week. It is a joke - how to devalue a good quality brand. Don't buy directly, go through a reputable retailer.
Rip off delivery charges and items are always late
If you want an item off the website, make sure to order it around a fortnight before you actually need it. I've made two online orders with Birkenstock this year, at one point paying £16 for "next day delivery," and received both items late. When contacted, the best they can do is offer a version of "well, it's all out of our hands now, up to the delivery company, we don't know when you'll receive it. It'll get there when it gets there." So... what am I paying the ridiculous delivery charge for? You've taken money to provide a service and you're not providing it, the responsibility rests with you.
