Explained to customer service Bought on holiday in usa with receipt but customer service ignored my first 3 emails, Finally got a response after commenting on Birkenstock Facebook site.
Response was simply "we can't help you have to return them to the store you purchased from"

Comfortable footwear
I ordered Birkenstock Arizona soft footbed sandals and they are so comfortable. The standard fit is quite wide which is perfect for me. The footbed really is nicely cushioned. My last Birkenstocks must have lasted 10 years which is great. I’m looking forward to the oiled leather wearing a bit. A great buy!
Don't Order From Birkenstock UK directly
This unintelligent company uses the worst delivery people - Parcelforce. If you thought Hermes were bad, you ain't seen nothing yet! When contacted Birkenstock try to get me to resolve the ridiculous service. I have refused delivery and requested a refund. No point ordering from them unless they use a better delivery service.

Possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced!
They cancelled my order, didn’t reply to emails, said I would need to go online to order again even though the cancellation was a technical error on their part and they kept talking over me on the call when I was trying to find out what had happened to my order. They took no responsibility for their mistake and offered no help. They were even reluctant to supply me with the details to put in an official complaint.
I would recommend no one orders from them online due to their incompetence and disgustingly poor customer care!

After one month I have not received my order.
An email sent 10 days ago has not been replied to.
Calls are not connected or get cut off whilst waiting.
The customer service is absolutely terrible.

Package arrived fully. But hoping to have it more secured. Overall it was good product.
DO NOT TRUST THE ONLINE SERVICE
They have not acknowledged a return of £395 worth of shoes and refunded half of another return. There is no response to a month of emails and forms filled out. NOTHING. JUST PLAIN THEFT> DO NOT TRUST THEM. The shoes were not worn, not damaged, returned the same day. The money???? Not seen it for 2 months!
