REFUSES TO GIVE YOU YOUR DATA/PD

AVOID UNLESS YOU DEFINITELY WANT *ONLY* THEIR FRAMES! Refuses to give out your PD Pupil Distance measurements so you cannot buy glasses anywhere except here. I've now put in a SAR and a complaint and copied in the ICO as they are withholding data about my own body! They will also hound you with reminders and refuse to stop, again in breach of GDPR.

CARMARTHEN store re glasses.

Ordered glasses at CARMARTHEN and asked at time do I need to make appointment to collect and told no. Phoned to check if glasses had arrived when confirmed they had arrived I said will call now to collect. Told I had to make appointment! Called today to make appointment told just come and collect. I called 16:50 and store all locked up
Sign on door said showed closing hours 5pm. Do you realise all your staff ate leaving early??

Please mail my glasses to me as I am not making another 45 minute one way journey, petrol is far too expensive for wasted journeys. Diabolical service

Pleasant and helpful problem-solving

I went in with a slightly off-the-wall request - I wanted to mix the lenses from two pairs of reading glasses - and the staff were really helpful in trying to solve the problem (not easy as the lenses were extremely hard to pop out). A shout-out to Matt Dunnett for his kindness and patience, making it possible for me to see my phone while away at my conference tomorrow!

Thank you to Frankie and to Elina Duba…

Thank you to Frankie and to Elina Duba (Optometrist) for helping me last week when I had a problem with sore, red and irritated eyes after gardening. I felt something get into my eye while pulling up weeds, but didn't realise until later that evening that this had resulted in a problem. Rinsing my eye with saline didn't help, so I went to Boots Optician Aberystwyth to see if they could help. They had no appointments available but Frankie did take all the details and said that she would give the info to the Optometrist. Later that afternoon, I was told that Elina Duba had decided I needed to be seen within 24 hours, and, luckily, an appointment had been cancelled. I went in and had a thorough check (including behind they eye) and consultation. Elina told me what I needed to get from Boots the Chemist - Goldeneye antibiotic eye ointment. I am on day 3 of 5 of this medication and already my eyes are so much better.

Great customer service

We recently had some problems with the fit of my glasses which were quite painful. I took them to the Boots Chester store and the shop manager Dean adjusted the fit. He also arranged for my wife glasses to be replaced with a different style which were more comfortable. He was very professional

(Review for Lela - QR not working) Was in and out pretty quickly

Was in and out pretty quickly. The eye test was simple and quick. They did a proper check of everything to do with my eye health

Note: They gave me a QR code to leave a review for Lela, but the QR code would not scan on my phone so am leaving it here

Lela was great. She simplified everything and offered to print my prescription (we both forgot before I left so I didn't end up getting it lol)

⭐ Outstanding Team, Outstanding Care

I wanted to take the time to leave a review following our recent visit to Boots Opticians at St Stephen's, Hull.
My son, Cameron, has recently suffered a life-changing eye injury, and even making the initial phone call to arrange an appointment was incredibly emotional and difficult for me. Unfortunately, I didn't get the name of the lady I first spoke to, but from the very beginning, she was so kind, empathetic and understanding. She listened patiently, reassured me, and immediately made a difficult situation feel a little easier.
When we arrived for the appointment, we were greeted by a wonderful gentleman called James. What struck me straight away was that we didn't have to explain everything all over again. James had already taken the time to understand the situation and approached both Cameron and myself with genuine compassion and professionalism. He made sure we were seated somewhere comfortable, checked how Cameron was feeling, and took the time to reassure him and ease any worries he might have had.
James then introduced us to the optician, Izatullah, who was equally as wonderful. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient and thorough throughout the appointment. He listened carefully to Cameron, answered all of our questions, and took the time to explain everything clearly. As a worried mum, I particularly appreciated that he included me in the conversation and never made us feel rushed. His kindness, expertise, genuine care and positivity were evident throughout.
After the examination, we met with Amy, who helped us choose and order Cameron's glasses and sunglasses. Amy was equally professional, friendly and compassionate. She carefully explained everything, ensured we understood the options available, and handled the ordering and payment process with patience and warmth.
Every single member of staff we encountered treated us with dignity, kindness and understanding at a time when we needed it most. While we can't change what has happened to Cameron, the care and support we received from the team at Boots Opticians made a genuinely difficult day much easier.
Thank you to the unnamed lady who took my initial call, to James, to Izatullah and to Amy. You are a credit to Boots Opticians, and we are incredibly grateful for the outstanding service and compassion you showed our family.

We all know glasses can be expensive…

We all know glasses can be expensive and do not feel any real guidance was given in the selection of my glasses, they seem happier the more expensive your choice the better, and any guidance is in that manner. I do not like paying too much purely because I have done so in the past and I am not great at looking after my glasses, the greater the cost the greater the loss. I am a pensioner.

The personalised service was excellent

The personalised service was excellent. Even put the air conditioning on to cool me down as it was 76 degrees outside. Olivia,Morna&Hannah took their time to make sure I was comfortable. And were professional throughout the time I was in the store, Stamford Lincs.

Speaking from 40 years experience in retail management I can confidently say that the staff at the Walton branch get everything right. They are friendly, helpful, patient and knowledgeable. I can add, from long years being with Boots, that the after sales support is also top notch.

I have been with boots opticians…

I have been with boots opticians Cleveleys for years the staff are so nice nothing is to much trouble go out off the way to help you I reasently had my eyes tested couldn't decide on some new glasses Julie was amazing, she spent a long time helping me choose some new glasses giving me advice I would definitely recommend and I would never go anywhere else thank you to Julie and all the staff

A great experience at Boots Opticians

I have been a patient at Boots Opticians High Street Kensington for a number of years and always value the care and professionalism of the staff, especially the optometrist Hiral, whom I saw yesterday. I have two longstanding eye conditions, one of which needs active monitoring, and it is always helpful to update and discuss. I came away from my appointment yesterday reassured and encouraged.

Excellent experience

I am so impressed with the service I received today. My sunglasses broke and they were a special birthday gift so I wanted them to be fixed. Another nearby opticians refused to look further into it but Lucy gave professional advice and fixed them immediately. I am so pleased and would highly recommend! Thank you Lucy for all your help!
