I would give them ZERO stars if I…

I would give them ZERO stars if I could. What an embarrassment of a company. No communication about agents leaving and being assigned to new ones. We have had an outstanding claim on our commercial space since April 2024 and still cannot get resolution and restoration of the space. We have been clients for 20years and never missed a bill. The one time we put in a claim and they just stall and stall and stall. Nearly two years later our office space is still unusable and the email train continues. No accountability. No one cares. It’s all words and ZERO action. Run from this company. Lawsuit coming up….

I would prefer to give a zero rating. The agents on the phone are rude and arrogant, think they are right even when the administrative errors are glaring at them in the face. They don't care about you! Lack of empathy, understanding, and full of errors.

Can I give zero stars?
I was with a small brokerage firm call Hartwell Thayer and through firms joining up , ended up with this company of zero customer service or relationship!
You could spend an hour on the phone with an agent, and if disconnected, they don’t call you back!
Everytime you call or email, it’s a different person that gets your call, and no one cares!
There is absolute zero service at this company! I tried to go directly to my insurer and was told I had to wait until my annual coverage was finished or will be penalized by 2 month worth of charges!
I am ready to pull out my hair because the completely uncaring people that work at this company and getting no answers to having to pay 2 months worth of insurance to go directly to my insurer, I am a hostage to this terrible company!
Never again! Please do not make the mistake I made!
GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Horrible Customer Service

I talked to Cassandra from NFLD for over an hour on Tuesday November 4, 2025. After she gave her lowest quote she asked if she could email me the quotes tomorrow after putting them through the vendor's website to get their actual prices. I said okay as she said they were having a storm there and we had already lost connection once and she had to call me back. The next evening November 5th, after not receiving an email from her I called back and got some guy who told me I had to talk to her and gave me her extension number to call her tomorrow. I told him when I call there is no way to enter an extension number and he kind of laughed and said "that's right". I asked him if there was anyone else I could get the information from and he said if I don't hear back from her tomorrow by 10 a.m. to call back and someone else could help me. He said he sent her a message to call me tomorrow morning. So the next day after 10 a.m. I called back as I still didn't receive any emails with quotes. I talked to another lady who told me Cassandra was on her lunch but she could see the quotes in there and would send me a copy of them. I thanked her and again, was not emailed anything. What a nasty joke this company is. Stay away!!

After waiting almost 5 weeks without…

After waiting almost 5 weeks without answers from our first broker, I went in and saw Violeta Cruz who was so incredible- she sorted everything within the day, which our first contact couldn’t figure out in 5 weeks. She was so lovely and responded straight away and found us a great deal. Definitely recommend!!!

Canada post was on strike last month…

Canada post was on strike last month and I didn't receive an email or an invoice for Oct. Payment and today I received a notice that my home insurance is under cancelation review. I went to the office to raise my concern of the issue. After I paid the amount due I received no apology and definitely a very poor customer service.

Got a quote from Kyle MacQuarrie

Got a quote from Kyle MacQuarrie. Totaly lied to me a bout getting a commercial insurance policy for my business, My company name isn't anywhere on the policy after the paperwork was finalized. This is a personal insurance policy. Plus I dion't even have access to the insurnace online portal so I got absolutely nothing for my money.
Paid the fee and then got ghosted by the whole company. nobody at Brokerlink retuns emails or answers your questions after you pay the fee.
Criminals!

Having a contact as Jerry from Niagara Falls who gets his client going with every call from quotes, payments and advise about road incidents and problem solving.

Vehicle insurance since 2022 to present works each tine.

Brokerlink has been our go-to insurance company for home/vehicle/business for over 20 years and we could not be happier.
Try contacting any other insurance company by phone and be answered by a human being and treated with the upmost respect and have your best interest in mind. Thank you again Jessica for taking care of my most recent concern.

Broker link grew too fast and thus POOR quality service

We own 4 properties, 2 trucks, 2 motorcycles and a boat. Every single time we had to talk to broker link it seemed as if the person was new to broker link not knowing how to set up or change polices. I am so fed up with companies getting larger than they can handle then treating their customers with disrespect by not providing good quality service. I should not actually know more than the brokers themselves as I am not in that business, yet it always felt like I was needing to explain basic terms and concepts. I am changing to a new broker!! Peace out broker link!!

The person assisting me, Nehe in the Hamilton office, was super helpful and her answer to my question took no time and she also explained (very well) of where I was to find the needed information on my policy.She was very pleasant and knowledgeable

If there was a zero star button

If there was a zero star button, they would not even get one star. Without so much as a phone call, I received paperwork in the mail saying that my insurance was being transferred to another company. The mail right now is not reliable so I had almost no notice. My new policy just happened to be with a company that owns brokerlink, which I think is a conflict of interest to begin with. Anytime I tried to contact broker link I was unsuccessful. I even left messages for a callback and received none. I did receive an email saying if I had any questions or concerns to contact them… That’s a joke! I went with another company and ended up getting more coverage at almost $2000 a year less than what I was quoted with my new company!! I had been with brokerlink for almost 25 years, I guess loyalty isn’t a thing with this company. Worst customer service ever… avoid!!

Demanding about Unnecessary Privacy Overreach

This is the only insurance broker company that I have encountered that refuses to waive the 20-25 year dive into driving history "requirement". They just straight up wont help you if you refuse to consent letting them go back 20-25 years. Industry standard for most insurance companies is 6 years. That this company is trying to force people to let them go back 20-25 years for every case is a wide over-reach of personal privacy. Insurance companies and brokers seem to be doing whatever they want - to cover their own butts, it is NOT about helping the consumer. They state it's to support you to get better rates - but that does not make sense. Either someone is not explaining things in a way that provides information on how you are protected from them using the information against you, or they are being dishonest. Regardless, terrible customer service as well - no attempt to try to explain so that it is not seen as negative. If it is supposed to "help" you, why do they turn you away for not consenting? They could just not use that information to "help you" and continue to try to find you alternatives, like a good broker would do. Sus.
