Brookfield Comfort is not the right fit for customer's looking for throw away fashion. Multiple purchase motivation, for cheap items used just once does confuse us to be honest. The product materials need to be sourced, workers spend time putting them together, and sometimes in awful conditions. Then you have the transport between oceans and roads. They have their place with customers and businesses, but that's not for us. Our customers order online freely, knowing they can be returned easily, if not suitable. But with full intention to use them more than once, and fully enjoy all their benefits and comfort.

Do not buy from this company as they do not respect consumer rights

UPDATE: The response below from Brookfield is nonsense. I’ve simply been wearing the sandals day to day. I’d understand if I’d been mountain climbing or trekking but they’ve just been used to walk on pavements and the beach, which - I assume - is what they were actually designed for.

I bought a pair of Birkenstock EVA sandals on June 19th. I have worn them for general use, as would be expected for a pair of summer sandals. A crack has appeared in one of them, which is unreasonable after only 6 weeks of normal wear.

I contacted Brookfield, sent photos, and requested a replacement pair, an entirely reasonable request in line with my statutory rights. They responded to say that the sandals had been heavily worn - what this even means I don’t know. They rejected my request for a replacement. I objected, again requesting a replacement. They then contacted me to say they’d given me a credit note, but for only 50% of the amount I originally paid. This is a fundamental breach of my consumer rights. I am entitled to a replacement pair.

Consumer law states: After 30 Days (Up to Six Months): You can request a repair or replacement of the goods. The retailer typically gets one chance to repair or replace the item; if the fault persists, you can then request a refund

I understand your frustration but it is not a reflection of either the shoes or our store. The photos indicate extensive use, and although there is consumer protection of rights, which is a valuable resource in this country, this isn't one of those situations unfortunately.

Good prices, quick response to a query, arrived on time. Great choice. Just be aware that packages are sent via Royal Mail and need tracking if you are time constrained. Otherwise, use the 24 delivery which costs a little more but gives greater peace of mind.

Avoid

Avoid! Purchased a pair of desert boots late last year. Didn't wear for a while as they're not winter shoes. Have now worn about 6 or 7 times and the heel has come away from the sole Their response to me - Because the order is pass our 30 day return window and the shoes have been worn there isn't much we can do in this situation. Appalling quality matched by the customer service.
Shabby response. Shoes should not fall apart after regular wear let alone minimal wear. I will pursue this via my credit card provider as this is unacceptable.

Sorry this has happened, but after review I can see these boots were purchased for £35.20 at the beginning of November, which is nearly 6 months ago from today. Although you may have only just started wearing them, they have been worn more than once and we need to draw a line somewhere. This is why the team rejected your refund request unfortunately.

Great customer service

Great customer service. I received an email informing me that the size I ordered was no longer in stock, then asked if I would like to try the next size which I did, my boots arrived a few days later, and they fit. Most companies would have just told me they were no longer available and left it at that. I would definitely recommend this company 👌

Great website for shoes, just be cautious of return/refund fees

I purchased my cabin crew heels through Brookfield comfort. I ordered a 2nd pair the other week but with the original pair the size had rubbed off. Unfortunately I ordered the wrong size as they run up very small (2 sizes too small) and I had to return. 1 thing I’m not a fan of is when you return anything is that it costs £5 to return or if you use your own shipping method they take a £2 “admin charge” so means your losing out on a lot of money when returning. The pair of shoes I ordered were £37.95 including postage and the refund I got was only £29 so losing out on a lot of money if the pair you order don’t fit so keep this in mind when ordering. This is the only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5. This is the only website I can seem to find that sell the exact shoes I wear for work. Communication is quite quick and staff are knowledgeable which is great.

Thanks for the review and appreciate feedback. Original order involved multiple size and style adjustments, sending back and forth, which we accommodated. You originally used your own courier (EVRi), but this time used our service at £5 which was cheaper for you. So you can understand how much couriers take out of our business. We accommodate standard returns, and do not charge postage for a replacement first pair, which I think is fair. In your case, I'm sure you can agree it was a slightly more involved situation, until you finally got the shoes that were right for you.
