Cheffins Ely have been Awesome. Joe, Neave, Dan, and everyone there, have been So professional, helpful, and caring. Excellent communication, and advice, and so sensitive to my dad's death. They have all been such a support, and have done an Amazing job. So grateful.

This is the fourth time we’ve used Cheffins when moving house, and I wouldn’t use anyone else. From the kick off and valuation with Max, to the viewings, negotiations and progression with Rhia and Judith, the whole experience was top class. All my queries were dealt with quickly and thoroughly. And when things got bumpy with the chain towards the end, Rhia dealt with it all in a calm, professional manner. If you’re looking for a sensible, knowledgable, highly experienced estate agent, give Cheffins a call.

Unfortunately, I had to pull out of a purchase at the last minute, due to family issues, but I was Very impressed with Cheffins staff generally and Steve Banham in particular. He was very professional, but friendly at the same time. Plus helpful and understanding too. Clearly, they are a good team, who work well together and I will definitely be looking to them in future to sell a property. Thank you.

We found Cheffins and especially Rhia to be excellent. We accepted an offer on our house in less than 1 week and despite the some challenges of an old barn/thatched roof we have just exchanged in 10 weeks. Rhia was so polite, calm and professional and really did do a superb job. Even prior to our sale we viewed some houses who were selling with Cheffins. They were always helpful and willing to let us look round the properties even though we didn't even have our house of the market yet (unlike a very well known estate agent that wouldn't let us even view their houses until we had a offer on our house). Really a great team and we are very impressed with the service they provided.

Placed a bid for an item, told I was highest bidder and then had my bid cancelled in favour of a lower floor bidder.
Auctioneer was basically hopeless and didn't have much clue as to what was going. Almost like he'd never auctioned before. Cancelled several bids during the course of the auction.
Complained to them but only got an office girl explaining the website can take seconds to update and a whole list of other excuses.
No excuse for poor auctioneering skills. Hope the seller was pleased with the poor price paid for his lot.
Will never use them again. Very amateur set up.

From start to finish, all the staff at Cheffins have been extremely helpful, very professional and a pleasure to deal with. Although it took a long time for to get from start to finish, Cheffins were always on the end of the phone to help us through the process. I would definitely use them again for a house move.

The Cheffins Team at Saffron Walden were excellent, especially the sales coordinator, Rhia Archard, whose diplomatic skills and impressive drive were key to resolving all outstanding enquiries on a timely basis.

On many occasions I was ready to throw the towel in as the sale seemed to be going nowhere, but thanks to Rhia's calm and empathetic negotiation skills, plus her determination to keep pushing for closure ensured the sale finally went through today. Cheffins Saffron Walden have been outstanding and in particular Rhia Archard, Sales Coordinator. In what seemed like a particularly difficult sale this ray of sunshine and positivity fought the sale battle as if we were her clients. Her professionalism and determination paired with keeping us (the buyer) constantly updated impressed us for the entire 5 months it took to close the deal.

Because of Rhia, should we ever decide to sell, Cheffins will be our first port-of call.

Have rented through Cheffins for over 7 years and its genuinely been such a rubbish experience.

They will not manage anything, just pitch tenant against landlord. I've been made to feel guilty about asking for a repair for damage the landlord made - how does that make sense?

They handed the keys over to a dirty house and told me to deal with it and sadly its been downhill from there.

Multiple staff have come and gone - evidenced by the (at least) six property managers I've had. Tells you everything about the business!

I've recently been threatened by the landlord via Cheffins that liability for his damage will be reassessed at the end of my tenancy! What a delight!

My experience has seen next to no communication throughout the years just taking my money and then when I make a reasonable request to fix a repair they stand with the landlord because that’s where their interest lies. You have been warned!

If you are a tenant - avoid this bunch as much as possible.

EDIT: There's been a response, but being dealt with means "we will do what the landlord tells us". Tenants beware, you will be punished for anything by this lots. I was asked to consider changing my review but then when I asked what bit was inaccurate or unfair I didnt get an answer. I hope more tenants fight back against this lot becuase they are not very good.

Thank you to the Cheffins Saffron Walden team for their assistance in selling our family home following the death of my father. They provided a probate valuation and gave constructive advice on preparing the property for sale. The sales team were attentive and responsive without being pushy and secured a reasonable offer quite quickly despite the time of year. They held keys and organised and accompanied viewings and surveys in my absence. I was treated with courtesy and respect at all times and I always felt that they had my best interests at heart. The post sale service was excellent too. I would recommend them unreservedly and would use them again.

Great team, proactive, helpful, considered and thorough. The sales team valued the property as part of a probate valuation, kept in touch throughout the process in a very considerate way and then took the property to the market. We had a series of offers after one day of viewing and then they successfully secured an offer above the asking price!
