I had an issue with a Chickenguard EXTREME X5.
After contacting Help Service, Marible over the chat pretty fast identified the issue said they were sending a replacement motor.
Three days later I received the replacement and that fixed the issue.

Very new to chickens, maintenance, and everything to do with them, but thankfully my friends have pulled through and so has the Chicken Guard! The automatic door has been a life saver and the experience has been smooth and easy. I really couldn’t imagine it going better, and customer service has been so helpful when I do have a hiccup.

I'm new to chickens and was worried about foxes. I've installed the all in one door (was much easier than I thought it would be) and was woken up by the girls yesterday very early morning to a right commotion. A fox had got into the run by digging underneath but thankfully it couldn't get past the coop door as it locks in place until morning. Before I replaced the door it could have just pushed the door up. I'm SO grateful for an excellent product - and so are the girls!

Duur, vreet batterijen, de handleiding helpt je niets verder, zeer moeilijk in te stellen en heeft daarna een eigen leven.

My Mum had her hip done recently and she cant get down in the coop, so we got her an autmatic door opener and it's made such a difference. She was nervous about it at first, but now that the little extender panel sits on top of the coop she can check it as often as she wants without getting down on her knees or waiting for us to come over.

Brilliant! Using the new all-in-one door and I love it, super easy install, looks really smart and keeps the hens safe. Great customer service when I had some questions too, all in all really pleased!

We bought the new ChickenGuard All-in-One unit to put on our new coop and we are delighted with it. It was really easy to install, hubby did it in 5 mins flat, it's just 4 long screws. He had made sure the pop hole was the right size beforehand! We love ChickenGuard, I think we had one of their original units where you attach it to your own coop door, it's on our original coop and still going 6 years later. As we're not getting any younger we really appreciate the extension box so that the controls can be at a height where we don't have to bend down, brilliant. All in all, the All-in-One is a brilliant piece of kit. We had to call Customer Service as we needed a longer cable than the 1.5m computer lead it came with and wanted to check the type and maximum length, the lovely agent advised us that we could buy any length RJ45 at a computer shop near us and then took the trouble to ask if we needed any help with the setup, which we didn't as it was already up and running. Great customer service, very helpful. Thank you to all at ChickenGuard from us and the girls,

I bought two extreme models in December 2022 and I have replaced the batteries three times in three six months on both of the units.
The support is useless, I sent them back for fix or replacement and they returned after a while with absolutley no note or email etc on whether they found a problem!

Item is NOT able to open door in afternoon 😕. WHAT WAS THE STUPID DESIGNER THINKING????? Eats batteries to quickly. Needs to be recalibrated nearly weekly. Door slowly over that week opens less and less and less each day until it stops altogether. DO NOT BUY CHICKEN GAURD UNLESS YOU NEED MORE FRUSTERATION IN YOU LIFE. After sales service is Bull Crap. It is not the best unit in the world as it claims. You buy the standard unit for £124 and the "automatic" is you setting the time for dusk and dawn every day. If you want the sensor to work you have to pay another £24 to get the code to use it. It is a con and there are units that do use sensors for less than £100. The Voss Poultry kit, for example. Dit poortje is een grote teleurstelling: batterijen om de 2 weken leeg, constant moet alles opnieuw ingesteld worden, menu is compleet onoverzichtelijk, doet niet wat je hebt ingesteld.
Hoge kostprijs, maar z’n geld absoluut niet waard.

Great product and an absolutely outstanding customer service. I now have 2 Chickenguard systems as I have 2 separate runs. I had them set up for me because modern technology is not exactly my thing... Anyway, I ran into trouble when I decided to switch from summer to wintertime and the company couldn't have been more helpful. They practically got back to me by return, helped me to sort out the issue and couldn't have been nicer though I am sure I must have tried their patience:(.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend chickenguard extreme x5. It worked for about 2 weeks, then the problems started and the headaches began.... Opens only halfway, needs calibration constantly, etc.. Save yourself the trouble and skip this.
The product is ok but the technical support non existent
New model needs batteries replacing every month. It’s a joke vs first model. I’ve bought 2 now.
Waiting to see if they replace this faulty one

Having had lots of trouble with my last model, chickenguard kindly supplied me with the new model ( to be released later this year). This model has a sensor so can detect a chicken in the doorway and therefore you don’t get a door stuck halfway up or down. I’m delighted with this model, it works every time so I’m now happy to go away knowing that my chickens will be safely shut away.
I have to say that if there has been poor service in the past then they have really upped their game.
My opener developed a fault and a helpful member of staff called Luke took me through some setup changes.
these didn't work so, without any hesitation they sent me a new one and asked me to return the broken one (at their expense) for analysis.
They have now fixed my old one, told me what the fault was and sent it to me as a spare.
Quite exemplary service.
On the product page of the website there is an opportunity to ask a question about the product you are viewing, which I did, 5 days ago (22nd April). Received an email confirming question received and asking to verify my email address, which I did. How much longer do I need to wait for a response? Doesn't give me much faith in a company who can't be bothered.
Wouldn’t be without a chickenguard now! Had our first unit for 4 years now and work’s without any problems.
Bought a second unit for another duck and goose pen and love the simplicity and the features of chickenguard.
I’m surprised about the poor reviews as my experience with their customer service has been fantastic.
Definitely be buying same again for any other poultry projects 5*
