Willow bed for a little girl called Willow

[This may come twice - first review seemed not to send, but perhaps it did]
Ordered a toddler sized Willow bed in Alder colour for a little girl called Willow. Also we got a mattress, sheets and a drawer.
Got message to say it was due 10th April in fact it came on 9th - all bits at once!
Assembly worked OK and the bed fits beautifully in the little bedroom it was for and Willow loves it! Thank you!

Great customer service

Great customer service. Bed was delivered on time and arrived in perfect condition.
Instructions were clear but took us ages to build!

Beautiful sturdy bed and nice costumer services

The product is very sturdy and easy to assemble. The costumer service is great. Each time I contacted them for an update (via there whatsapp number) I received an answer within 24h. The order came on time in the 4 weeks annonce at order. I read on other review that the assembly manual does not come with the order but we did receive ours. Manual easy to read and follow. The only down point is that the packaging does not protect well the wood, some wood arrived exposed, and some pieces are a bit chipped. In our case it is internal and can not be see once the bed is assembled, but only because we are lucky.

Great customer service and communication

Ordered a couple of times from this company and the products have always been as described. We had an issue with our first order whereby the wrong colour turned up but was quickly rectified. More recently we realised we'd not received part of an order a while ago (but were in the middle of a house build and hadn't picked up on it at the time), but after an email and review of some order details we were swiftly given a refund. The customer service and communication has been excellent. The only thing that frustrated me at the time of delivery was not being given a 2 hour window and having to wait in all day for the delivery. Luckily we were around all day at the time (pre COVID!) so we could wait in but most couriers these days provide a time window so that you don't have to stay in all day. This may have improved now as it was some time ago.

Courier failed delivery results in £65 charge!!

The courier failed to deliver the bed we ordered despite calling us on the day to confirm the address.

We were then made to pay £65 for the failed delivery attempt. So we are £65 down and have no bed to show for it despite explaining the situation to the company.

Once they have shipped the item they take no responsibility if anything then goes wrong.

AVOID!

Julian Bowen Kimbo Blue Mid-Sleeper Cabin Bed

I ordered this on for my almost 4 year old grandson on 14.12.20 and then I checked the reviews on Trustpilot. Usually I do due diligence first but I couldn't find the bed anywhere else at the price on offer. Then I became very apprehensive, and all for nought! Given updates all the way from date of order to delivery on the morning of 18.12.20; was not expecting delivery this year! I even got a morning call beforehand from BJS Two-Man Home Delivery. The delivery experience was second to none, two friendly dudes with nothing but smiles and energy. Jokes aside they were on time, no fuss, carried 4 really heavy packages into the flat on their backs! Not at the door, not outside. Arrived in perfect condition and even my son-in-law and I had a hard time carrying the packages to theirs. The instructions were so clear my grandson could have put it together. The build quality is excellent, nothing chipped or missing and everything came together in around 4 hours! The boy slept soundly in his new bed in his newly prepped bedroom that same night. If I could give 10 stars then "this is it".

We brought a Steens Midsleeper from…

We brought a Steens Midsleeper from Childrens Bed Shop before seeing the reviews on this site - and seeing them after did make me a little nervous. However everything was perfect. We ordered the bed on 7th Oct and received confirmations by email that the sale had gone through. A further email on the 8th Oct confirmed that the order was in stock and expect delivery in approx delivery 10 working days.
We then received a SMS on 12th to confirm delivery for the 19th Oct and that the driver would call 30mins before.
Delivery was spot on, the driver called before hand and carried all the heavy boxes into the house very carefully.
Product is excellent quality, very sturdy and safe - and there was no damage to be found. Our daughter absolutely loves her new bed!! Very happy with everything from start to finish.

Highsleeper Noah

Placed the order it time for bed to arrive for kid's birthday. Money left my account but an email came through that in order for them to use the funds they needed a 6 digit code from my bank. Bank said there are no codes to give, they have the money. After some discussion (they were fast in response) had to claim the refund. No bed for the Bday..

ZERO STARS!

ZERO STARS!! Shame I can't put zero stars! Not that I think Children's bed shop would care!
Ordered a mid sleeper for my child, assembled it to the in-depth instructions, however it was extremely unstable and wobbly when my child slept on it. I Contacted the customer services (if you can call it that), their response was, have I correctly assembled it,did I use power tools to assemble the bed and for me to send photos of the screw holes in the bed! Joke!
I did this and then they quote timescales for a refund,I'll need to arrange to return it to them, if it's damaged on arrival it will get refused by the warehouse. Shocking!! Quick enough to take your money but like many others say on here, they don't want to know when issues/faults occur. They just go on about the manufacturer and they can't do anything!
I'm now left with an unsafe bed, needing to buy a new bed for my child and out of pocket after a house move, but more importantly, so furious by their lack of customer service and empathy. Do yourself a favour and don't buy a bed from here, you'll regret it if you have a problem.

Just awful

Just awful! I ordered a mid sleeper bed from this company and a mattress. My sons first proper bed.
When the bed turned up the courier had dropped one of the boxes and ruined the bed. 4 weeks later I’m still waiting for the replacement after being promised over night couriers etc and taking time off to be there . Customer service non existent never answer any calls either shut or too busy. Still waiting on a refund!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I checked the reviews first on feefo which were mostly ok - wish I’d come here first!

Ordered a £300 bed for my son (his first big boy bed, no less). I was aware that delivery time was up to 4 weeks which was ok. The confirmation email advised they’d be in touch to advise on delivery, after 2 working days. This time passed and no emails so I emailed to query delivery and also the fact they had overcharged me on PayPal by £10. No response. Tried calling, different numbers, over the course of 2-3 days. Either no answer or a voicemail to say they were out of office (during working hours!). Also tried different email addresses in this time (Efurn company). No response.

I have now raised a PayPal dispute to get a refund as this is clearly an company operating a scam. I have never had such a terrible experience with an online company.

Update: they have since responded to my emails however it’s now too little too late. Having read the reviews online also I don’t have much Faith in the delivery/product/company so have cancelled order.

Overall happy customer

I found a wardrobe & beside cabinet on the Children's Bed Shop website that I liked for my son's bedroom, but became a little deterred after reading poor reviews of the company. Both items were stated as being in stock with delivery from 1-7 working days (other websites were out of stock &/or the price was higher). I called them & was assured that stock was available on 1 item with the other due in the following week. I called back & was informed that both items were now in stock but would be delivered within 1-10 working days, not the 1-7 that was stated on the website (I've since noticed this timeline has now been updated on the website for the wardrobe). With some trepidation, I decided to place an order requesting delivery with Domestic Distribution & not the other courier company that many had complained about. I was told that I would receive a confirmation email later that day, but I did not. I called to chase this matter & it was clear that my order had not been processed & instead went through the following day (not ideal having to wait for payment confirmation to be honest). After receiving the email confirming my order & that stock had been allocated & passed to the courier company for delivery, I then received another email that suggested 1 item would not be in stock for another 10 days! My heart sank & I started to doubt my decision in placing the order & so sent an email to try & establish what was going on. Meanwhile I received a text from the delivery company confirming a delivery date (set for 8 working days later, so within the 10 day time frame). The following day I was assured by email that the items were both in stock (even though the 2nd confirmation email was certainly confusing!) & that delivery would go ahead as stated. All I could do now was wait somewhat nervously. But sure enough, 8 days later & within the timeslot as stated, a cheery delivery man arrived with both items. Unfortunately, an incorrect part was included & so I have had to chase for the correct part to be sent, but to be fair, that's not the fault of Children's Bed Shop but the manufacturer. Hopefully this matter will be promptly dealt with though as we are otherwise pleased with the items. My advice would be to call & check directly with the company before placing an order & follow up if necessary. I believe the company website is being updated & better customer services training is in place which should certainly help in managing customers expectations & their overall experience. So, to wrap up, I would definitely recommend this company as found them to be helpful & personable & feel that some of the poor reviews are most probably somewhat unfair actually, so don't be put off. I wish them all the best & hope more people come forward with positive reviews, that from my experience as an overall happy customer, they deserve to receive.

This is not a legitimate company

This is not a legitimate company. Send 2 boxes with missing pieces to build a bed. Cannot get hold of ro resolve the problem. Reported to the bank for dispute as has not delivered the product paid for nor able to resolve. I wish I checked the reviews earlier. Absolute disaster. This is not a company this is fraud. AVOID

Terrible communication, order never arrived

Ordered a new bed (in stock) for my daughter last week. Tracking through XDP was very poor, but got an update to say it was due to be delivered. Waited in and it never came. Emailed the children’s bed shop and got no reply. Phoned them and they chased it up, giving me a nonsense reason for it not arriving, assuring me it would be delivered 2 days later. Waited in again and no delivery. Left two voicemails as I cannot get through to anyone. Will now be cancelling my order and requesting a refund. My advice would be to avoid this company and order from elsewhere.

Inadequate part and inaccurate listings online

I ordered 2 mid sleepers at the beginning of April. Delivery wasn't too much of a problem but one of the beds has parts that do not work properly and I am still waiting for this to be resolved. The bed can only be put together as a bed, and not a mid-sleeper.

This same bed was also incorrectly advertised as coming without a bookcase so I ordered a book case with it. Two book cases arrived as apparently one was included with the bed so they are insisting it is now my responsibility and cost to return the second bookcase.

They are taking very minimal effort to resolve this. Extremely slow at answering emails, and when the answers do coming they have clearly not read my email correctly.

Absolutely furious I chose to buy from them

Ordered over 3 weeks ago and not received

Ordered over 3 weeks ago and has finally been passed through to the courier. Which has an estimated delivery time of 10 working days. My daughter has been sleeping on the floor for a month now as when I ordered I assumed that it would be delivered within a few days, as is normal with most good furniture companies. I have paid a lot of money for the bed and to wait this long is disgusting. I will be claiming my money back from Paypal. Do not order with them and waste your time and money.

Please be warned

Please be warned. We have waited for a single bed since May. They have taken our money and given us no less than 3 expected delivery dates for all to come and go. Very rarely answer emails. Have asked for a refund to no avail and now having to go via Paypal to get my money back

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!
I have taken time off work for scheduled delivery which never arrived, I'm now told it will be another 4 - 8 weeks!
All this time they have my money.
I sent 5 emails over the space of 10 days with no reply and as soon as I involve PayPal (who emailed them too) surprise surprise they reply to me!
If you do buy from them use a credit card or PayPal credit to at least have protection but I do warn you they are a nightmare to deal with.
Oh and they also left a mattress outside my door whilst I was out.
I can't even put into words how angry I am at the whole situation!

All good. No issues!

Saw all the bad reviews after I had placed an order. But actually was all good. I ordered online on a Saturday. Received confirmation of the order on the Monday. Then chose a delivery date. The bed arrived on the chosen day. Was well packaged and pristine condition. Very happy with the bed and my son loves it.

Do NOT use this company

Do NOT use this company. Still awaiting delivery of bunk bed and matresses ordered on 13th May with ‘immediate delivery’ ! They do not answer phone, will not reply to emails and quite frankly are a shambles. Do not believe a word of their advertising junk !
