Be aware, there are no returns on Mattresses unlike more reputable bedding companies. Website states "If you want to try it at home – simply leave the packaging on" but they arrive vacuum pack... Ver mais

Nightmare
Slower than anticipated delivery , bunk beds arrived minus instructions and minus any screws etc . They emailed over instructions and we had the fitting parts the next morning , which was good
However .....we are missing loads of parts and have duplicates of other parts , unable to put the beds together , and so far no reply to my emails , as the office appears to be unmanned , unless of course you are placing an order and paying for the items
If no reply by tomorrow will be contacting credit card provider for refund

Have bought 2 sets of childrens Steens bedroom furniture 3 and 5 years ago and had no issues so didn't search reviews. Ordered some more for my youngest during lockdown. didn't receive a confirmation email but payment was taken so after a week i phoned and no answer. Then looked for reviews and got a sinking feeling that i had made a massive/expensive mistake. Got through on phone, lovely lady said there had been an issue with my order and there was no address or contact details only my name. i was still a bit sceptical, she asked me to email my details and she would arrange the delivery ASAP, i did she emailed me straight back to confirm order and send receipt. Anyway true to her word she did fast track order and it arrived in 2 days. In perfect condition. the only issue was rhe desk had no instructions in pack, not their fault but manufacturers. We didn't cobtact them as my husband remembered how the last one we bought went together. But feel they would have rectified the issue had we required it, but due to this feel i can only leave 4 stars. So used 3 times over 5 years and no major issues.
Avoid like the plague...or Covid
If there was an option for a zero-star review, this would still be giving too much credit to this utter failure of a company. The catalogue of failings includes:
1. It took more than a month to deliver items on a 7-day delivery.
2. No response to telephone calls.
3. Intermittent responses to e-mails after long delays, and only when threatened with a chargeback.
4. Three failed deliveries that had been promised with no explanation or contact.
5. When the delivery finally came, only 25% of the order was delivered. I actually ended up sending my on courier to the depot to collect the rest of the order.
6. The company just blamed their suppliers and couriers and took no responsibility whatsoever for their failings.
I've had bad service, but this goes down as the worst ever. It's like Fawlty Towers sells furniture, but not as funny.
They had no valid excuses for the deplorable service.
All positive reviews for this service have been made by spoof accounts so do not trust them.

This is by far the worst company I have ever had the 'pleasure' of dealing with.
Bought a bed from here for my daughter. Unfortunately it's of a very poor quality with many manufacturing defects and design faults.
'Childrens Bed Shop' do not manufacture or stock any items. They will simply take your money, and place an order with a third party supplier. In my case, it was a cheaply made import supplied by 'Julian Bowen Limited'.
Childrens Bed Shop completely ignored my complaint regarding the item of furniture. They also refused to respond to the bank when asked why my complaint had not been addressed.
I paid an additional £150 for an independent furniture assessor to inspect the furniture, who agreed with all of my findings. I was able to reclaim the full cost of the furniture under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act (unfortunately the money came from the bank, so these criminals haven't lost out).
Please, do yourselves a favour, and stay well away. You have been warned!
bad Customer service
Ordered bed for daughter it arrived was building it fri night and noticed scratch and a crack in 2 different ends of bed. Contacted by email company however by time they had got back to me the bed was built (had already taken daughters bed down and sold it so had no choice but to continue). Currently decorating daughter and baby room as expecting so packaging was all taken to skip as there was a lot. Now there isn’t anything that can be done? Last time I order from this company with the lack of customer support given to myself!!!

!!DO NOT BUY!! That's the best advice we could give you. We've now waited 3 months for our money back, after they couldn't find our house for delivery. Unbelievably bad experience, Citizens Advice have been helping us and still after three letters to head office we failed to get a response.

Great price and delivered as promised
Great price and delivered as promised. We did have a fixing missing but this can happen with any supplier and down to the manufacturer. After reading the reviews here I thought we were going to have issues getting hold of the missing fixing. I need not of worried, I emailed and had a response in just over 24 hours from Rowena, the part was with us two days later. Steens bed good quality and sturdy. Would have no concerns ordering from this company again. Don't let the negative reviews put you off.
Absolute rubbish company
Absolute crap company. Stated bed would be delivered in 10 days and was a month. Major piece of bed had some damage to it. Another piece was dented. Customer service was abysmal and made no offers of reparation. Would never use these again. Dire
If I could give no stars I would
Ordered London bus bed for little boy and a couple of mattresses. Came damaged. The replacement part send out the next week also damaged. Part received for a 3rd time - damaged. Customer services a nightmare telling me to contact supplier. Phone call after to phone call between supplier and the Children’s bed shop. My little boy had to sleep on one of the mattresses for 3 weeks on the floor until a refund was issued. To add they wouldn’t even as compensation let me keep one of mattresses I was forced to open to give me 4 year old a bed to kip on..!
Don’t disappoint your children with this substandard company. They tried to blame he supplied Julian Bowen who make the bed. Ultimately it was the bed shops responsibility. They didn’t have any issues taking the money, that part of the deal was fine..!

Bed supposed to arrive on Wednesday. But due to an admin error they didn’t put that date in. Bed supposed to arrive today via Xpd (another joke) but the bed only arrived in the depot today so no chance.
Please please give a decent company your business!

Couldn't be more unhelpful on the phone-didn't end up placing an order because basically we tell you when we deliver even if you order a month out we can't give you a date. We don't work like that !!!

Very poor attitude when it comes to customer services. At first, very pleasant but that changes to become totally dismissive.
Also, their policy states items cannot be returned once built but you can only see the issues when assembled.
Stay well clear of this company!
Go elsewhere.
Shocking customer service - had to chase this company myself to establish why there was a delay with my order (over 4 weeks). It has now been cancelled. Do yourself a favour and use another supplier, you might pay slightly more - but you won't have to deal with these charlatans.
Regretting using this company
Regretting using this company . Unfortunately they choose to use a delivery company XDP . They are totally incompetent was expecting delivery yesterday and today at 7pm we’re still waiting for the bed . Meanwhile our child is now sleeping on the floor we’ve lost so much time waiting around for the delivery ! I would advise anyone thinking of using this company to request a different courier . I’ll be cancelling my order tomorrow and using a better standard of supplier !

Don’t bother wasting your time with this absolute shambles of a company. Tried charging £85 for saying we missed the delivery even though we were in, knock and run couriers! So angry!!!!

I wanted to leave a review to try and balance out the bad. Ordered my bed over Xmas so did not hear anything untill they 're opened (I did think would be the case) once 're open I received confirmation of order and then the following day a delivery day and 4 hour time slot. The delivery driver called us 30mins before they arrived.
Julian Bowden mid sleeper in grey with draws is now fully assembled. And looks fabulous. Very happy son .
I ordered 2 beds for my kids
I ordered 2 beds for my kids. Then came and read some reviews. I was so worried we had made a mistake but went with it. Honestly we had no problems at all. We ordered 2 beds. Got confirmation email. Text to say when beds would come and they came when said. Good condition no issues. Thought id balance out some of the bad reviews.

Don't waste your money in this awful company !! Absolute shambles !!!! My Son's bed got delivered with damage all over it, scratches,scuff marks and chips took off the white bed frame, the customer service is S**t too ! I eventually got an email back from them few days later to say would you like some touch up paint !!! Errrrr No.. Won't EVER waste my money with these again. Try having some respect for your 'valued' customers would be nice !! I regret not reading these terrible reviews in the 1st place .... STAY AWAY from these cow boys

terrible company, even worse customer service
STAY AWAY - i ordered a julian bowen high sleeper bed from this company on 11th August. It was delivered on the 16th August with 5 DAMAGED parts. They had the option of collecting the bed, refunding or sending new parts. They chose to send new parts. I wanted the parts ASAP as the bed came in 5 huge boxes which took up our sons bedroom. They could not do that and ignored most emails, aswell as the phone just ringing through to an answering machine. In there "terms of sale" it states replacement parts can take upto 3 weeks!! So after 3 weeks... still nothing! I emailed the bed shop again, and they replied saying they'd look into it....and heard nothing back! So i put in a claim with my credit card under the section 75 protection. Whilst the credit card company was investigating, i got a call on the 26th september from a private courier saying they was at my house with bed parts! No delivery date was even made, i was not even contacted to arrange one!! No body was in so the order was taken back.
I emailed childrens bed shop again, stating it was not acceptable to just turn up when nothing was arranged, and the fact im now proceeding under section 75. And the reply i got was " we will not comment further as you are taking it up with you credit card company" no acceptance of responsibility, no offer of redelivery, or any other solution, they are happy for the card company to sort it and not them.
So by November 2nd, 12 weeks from ordering, i submitted more than sufficient evidence against this company for my credit card to issue me a refund! The only downside being, the payment will come from my card company, not the bed shop.
Discusting, horrible company, especially the service! Buy elsewhere.
