The people answering the phone are very nice but bins arr still yet to be collected after 5 weeks of being a customer. 3 times we were asked to leave the bin out on a Saturday after Thursdays collection was missed. They agreed to nor charge us for the first two months but this is besides the point. Bins overflowing with nowhere to put our rubbish. Very dissapointing.

I am a loyal customer of the city bin co for the past 10 years never missed a payment or disputed rising costs they send me, in july of 2024 I lost my bank card and had to apply for a new one, I received a message to say payment had failed, no phone calls or email just a text message, I tried calling their customer service number to update my card details to no avail, phone is always busy no answer, so I emailed on the 10th of August to explain my situation with regards to my card being lost,I received a reply on the 16th, six days later asking me to call the same number they don't answer, so on the 15th I updated my new card details on my profile when my new bank card arrived,I replied saying that I updated my card details on the app, today is our bin collection day and our bins weren't collected, City bin why do you treat loyal customers with contempt, your non existing customer service answers my email DAYS LATER no call to say hi is there a problem, no no just remove the service, well CITY BIN CO IM NOW REMOVING YOU AS MY BIN COLLECTOR FOR YOUR UNPROFESSIONAL CUSTOMER NON EXISTING SERVICE
Brutal customer service
Brutal customer service. My neighbour changed bin provided, when they collected his no longer in use bin they took my green one instead and left his. I’m 4 weeks trying to get it sorted with no joy. Multiple emails, calls & 2 bins packed to the brim. I’ve cancelled my account. They’ve made their mistake my problem and I’m the one suffering and trying to resolve it, plus they’re charging me for the pleasure

My brown bin wasn’t collected this morning. Phoned,got through straight away and received an apology advised that the truck would turn back to collect. Never came back and driveway blocked by building supplies delivered. Tried to phone back and left for up to half an hour before being mysteriously cut off. Emailed and no response. Used to be a good company with a focus on customer services but seem to have moved their customer service abroad where I am now faced with lies and indifference. Very ver poor services, and rotten behaviour.
Big dop off in service quality

Accept that these things can happen but customer care response just made things worse.

Rubbish service do not use
Rubbish service do not use! City bin kept forgetting to empty our bins. They failed last wednesday 31st july to collect the general waste bin. Then texted stating it was an operation error and bins would be collected Frida/saturday, guess what didnt happen! A week later and no further updates and bins still not collected. Their customer centric teams dont have any updates to give other than City Bill are short staffed! No estimate for when the bins will be collected. Incompetent service and support from City bin. DONT USE THEM!!
Service gone down the drain..
Been with City Bin since they were looking for business door to door a few years ago. Couldn't fault them until a couple of months ago when they said they 'changed their system'. Since then we've had a couple of errors with taking and not taking money from our account. Grey bin was to be collect a week ok.. while estate not collected! Message received to say bin to be collected Saturday 2nd.. still no show. Phoned today. Was told I'd be phoned right back once customer service representative looked into it. No call back, and was disconnected after waiting 20 minutes on hold this afternoon. Dreadful!
Will be looking into other service providers.

My neighbour recommended The City Bin company to me. They are pleasant efficient and good value, and to me the large compost bin is a big bonus.
Just awful service
Just awful service. I was with them until the end of 2023 and they were fine. I rejoined in April and it's like a whole different service. They have not collected my recycling or compost bins in a month. I have to bring them to the small claims court, tomorrow I'll file the application. They also took money from my account for no reason. Utter chancers.
Patchy customer service, THE BEST RIGHT NOW
At the moment, in my area, they are great. Recently, I needed to replace my worn-out stickers because they were not legible, requested new ones online and I got them within a week. They have also ensured that my bins didn't come back home full when I didn't put them out the night before. They saw me on the road in my bathrobe bringing my bins out and they did another pass. Thanks! Smaller trucks are the best!

Please do not use this company, they are very unreliable, my brown bin has not been collected in over a month, they do not fulfil the contract obligations.
Bins haven’t been collected in two months!!!
After moving house it took city bins two weeks and 5 phone calls to transfer the bins. The two months since they have not collected my bins. When informed they give an alternative time and date, and once again didn’t collect. The promise on my weekly phone call the problem has been solved and they would apply a discount to my bill. Both untrue, they charge me in full for zero service. The supervisor didn’t even email me the details she promised she would.
A disgrace of a company, the talk more rubbish than collect.

Bad Recycling
I’m sickened this morning to see my Recycling and Compost bin going into the same lorry. Why am I paying for such as service. I thought I was doing good recycling for benefit of the planet.
Unreliable and Dishonest
City Bin has half-emptied or entirely ignored our bins on multiple occasions. When contacted for remedy, they often give a reschedule date or promise that the collectors will return later the same day (even after repeat calls to them to confirm). At least on the last occasion (not even a week ago), the rescheduled collection date turned out to be a complete fiction. Just today they promised that a (separate) missed collection would also be repeated this afternoon. No sign of this being the case so far, but I will update one way or the other.
Worst company ever
Worst company ever. Missed my trash pick every week. I had to call them every week and tell that they missed my trash. Very frustrating

Found the road crew extremely helpful and great customer service. They even took the bin out of the driveway one morning I forgot. Can't fault them.

No Collection Over Christmas For 3 Full Weeks And Ignored By Customer Service
Our bin collection days are Mondays and this year Christmas Day fell on a Monday so City Bin e-mailed me saying they would do our bin collection (green bin) on the Saturday before Christmas Day ....... easy and reasonable solution, no problem.
They also said that our next bin collection (black bin) would go ahead as normal the following Monday (New Year's Day) which was a little surprising but fair enough, that's on them.
Then Thursday evening (yesterday) they e-mailed again saying that there would be no collection on New Year's Day and, instead, they would collect our black bin the following Saturday 6th January AFTER New Year's Day ........ I thought I was reading it wrong or they got the dates wrong ........ that would mean we'd have had no bins collected in 2 weeks and no black bin collected in 3 weeks!?!
Surely it was a mistake, there's no way they could expect us (a family of six) to accumulate 3 full weeks of black bin rubbish (especially over Christmas) without a collection???
They obviously meant they'd collect our black bin Saturday 30th December, the Saturday BEFORE New Year's Day as they had for the Saturday before Christmas ........ so I e-mailed them and ......... no, they actually are expecting us to hold onto black bins for 3 full weeks with a basically "like it or lump it!" attitude.
Now they've decided not to reply to my latest e-mail at all .......... obviously finishing up in the office early today (Friday 29th December) and just solving the issue by simply ignoring it.
Customer Service ....... joke!
