Misleading Warranty Information & No Follow-Up After Complaint
UPDATE: Moved from 1 star to 2: I have had to write two letters and I had to speak to Citizens Advice as Clever Energy didn't reply to my issues, detailed below, in two months but have finally been in touch after I wrote this and we have come to an agreement. Unfortunately the filter they fitted wasn't Bosch so it has invalidated the Bosch warranty which I would have preferred but they offered me a bit of compensation and I'd prefer to close this off than let it drag on. They are going to look after my servicing so I will keep my fingers crossed that the ongoing service will be better and I can upgrade the review again.
ORIGINAL POST:-
I was initially very happy with the installation of my new boiler by Clever Energy Boilers, but the experience since has been extremely disappointing.
At the point of sale, I was reassured that my boiler would come with a 10-year Bosch warranty, plus an additional 4 years if I used them for annual servicing — which I thought seemed very fair at the time. However, I later received conflicting information suggesting that this wasn’t the case because a different filter had been fitted.
I also received follow-up calls claiming my boiler hadn’t been properly registered, despite being told everything was already completed. I raised a formal complaint in September, chased it again on 19 October, and received a call promising a response later that day or the next — but weeks later, I’ve still heard nothing.
The installation itself was fine, but the after-sales service, communication, and misleading warranty information have been very poor.

Fantastic Boiler & install
We’ve had a wonderful experience with getting our new boiler. The sales rep came out quickly, we felt comfortable and the company seemed really good. 4 days later we had the boiler installed and they did a fantastic job!! The boiler works beautifully, they tidied up and made sure it was the best install.

This is a new experience for me. This company really listens to feedback, acknowledges mistakes, apologises and actively sets on a mission to correct past errors to create a positive customer relationship going forward. After my review 22/10/2025, CE Boilers have done everything possible to correct an unfortunate mistake from earlier this year. I am now a happy customer; my boiler has been serviced, and Lewis has delivered on everything he promised. Thank you.
