I am pleased you are happy with the turnaround time for your DBS however, I do apologise for the inconvenience regarding the physical certificate. Unfortunately, DBS Headquarters send this out directly via Royal Mail 2nd Class post which means we have no control over how long this takes to reach your doorstep.
If you do not receive the certificate within 2 weeks (which is unlikely to happen) please let us know and we can request a reprint.

Unfortunately, I can see your DBS was completed 4 months ago which means you are unable to enrol this check to the Update Service as the Government only allow you to do this 30 days from the DBS issue date.

Does what it needs to do
We end up with a DBS check, which is the goal! But I find the whole process from ordering through to completion difficult.
A lack of updates on progress, confusing messaging so it's not at all clear what's happened so far/what needs to happen next

Thank you for your review. We appreciate any feedback and do take this on board.
I am glad too see all of your checks have been completed successfully.
I am sorry to hear you were not satisfied with the progress updates. When setting up the applications, the system does ask for a manager contact to send out automatic progress updates at each stage of the check. I can see you was only set up as the manager on one check and your colleagues were set up as managers on the remaining checks hence why you may not have received the majority of the automatic updates.
Please be assured, your colleagues set up as the managers would have received regular updates at each stage of the checks they were assigned too.
In future, please feel free to assign yourself as the manager on all checks so you receive all automatic updates from the system.
The automatic updates do provide a clear message of the next step such as 'Application awaiting ID verification', 'Application has been submitted for processing', 'Application has been completed' etc however, please provide me on email with the confusing messaging so I can review this any resolve any miscommunications throughout our emails / automatic emails so they are more clear in future.
I hope this information helps and please let me know if you have any further queries we can resolve.
