This was my first shopping experience and i was very pleased overall. I have been proxy shopping from japan for many years and tried a handful of others but with so many changing their service fee to 500 yen per item, DeJapan caught my eye as only having a 300 yen fee so i gave them a go. Overall would say outside select other services that have partnerships with specific storefronts and offer reduced fees/other perks DeJapan is still the cheapest bet if you buy a lot (which i do). Getting the negatives out the way, firstly is they can sometimes take quite a while to purchase your orders and that ties to my second negative which is they have limited purchasing hours so if you find something outside of that or place the order too late you gotta hope 24 hours later its still in stock. Lastly the site can be wonky with surugaya specifically for some reason, adding to the cart will have glitches and sometimes you gotta put all the info in manually, itll still buy it tho. Positives are the lower fees outside of Mercari and select others (that i dont usually buy from anyway), great customer service, quicker than others ive dealt with and very friendly and informative. Dont really have many major complaints, could def use some improvements but from now on its gunna be one of my go-tos.

I have been a longtime user of DEJAPAN's proxy service since I have signed up for an account in January 2019 and they still remain my go-to proxy service ever since. I have always had a great experience using their service: ordering what you want from Japanese storefronts/second-hand markets like Yahoo! Auctions, Mercari (JP store), and Suruga-ya, selecting shipping options, and receiving my items. Since their website user interface refresh in 2023, many quality of life improvements have been made to streamline searching for the items you want, selecting checkout/shipping options, and making the website modern and appealing.

All my pre-orders/reservations, purchases, and "request service" items have gone through smoothly. If there was an issue, DEJAPAN promptly notified me with the reason. For instance, one of my items, an A3-sized poster, was not shipped flat but rolled up in a box; DEJAPAN emailed me with several photos showing the discrepancy of what the seller said they would do versus the actual reality and offered me the option to move forward with the purchase or they would try to get a refund for me. Throughout all my communications with the DEJAPAN team, they have been quick to respond and were professional, friendly, and informative; all my inquiries were answered within 1-2 business days but it is usually even less than that.

During the ongoing USA tariffs, they went out of their way to help users by waiving storage fees for USA-bound package that were at the warehouse for over 45 days for several months. They just recently provided a 10% discount coupon for international shipping to the USA.

If there were any aspects of DEJAPAN to nitpick, it would be the changes to their fee structure, lack of Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) shipping options, and underwhelming amount of coupons/promotional events. For the record, the fee structure makes DEJAPAN still competitive with other proxy services from what I've seen and the DDP options are of minimal concern. The lack of promotional events and coupons remains the biggest issue I have so far and it is something I hope DEJAPAN works on especially when other proxy services are more actively offering them for a large variety of stores.

Nevertheless, I had nothing but great experiences using DEJAPAN's services and I highly recommend their services. I felt valued as a user and I know that my purchased items will be well taken care of; I will continue being a loyal user for the foreseeable future.

Smooth Experience ordering from Yahoo Auctions Japan, shipping was fast and everything was packed exceptionally well.

Really great rates and excellent service. I feel like they really take care of their customers and i am always satisfied every time i use them for buying items from Japan. Other places like buyee have caused me issues especially when it comes to shipping to the US, and i have never had any problem with Dejapan. I’ve used DeJapan over the years and have generally been very satisfied with their service, especially their low fees.

However, with the recent fee changes for flea market purchases, the cost has increased noticeably. The new structure - at least 500 yen per item (300 yen service fee + 200 yen handling fee), plus an additional transaction fee, brings the total to around 700-800 yen per item.

At this point, it’s becoming harder to justify using DeJapan, as it is now more expensive compared to other well-known proxy services that cap fees at around 500 yen per item, without additional transaction fees, and often offer more flexible shipping options and frequent coupon promotions.

Because of this, I’m starting to explore alternative services.

The process was straightforward with no notable issues. My products arrived in a timely manner and in good condition.

I wanted to bid on a high end collectible that I really wanted via this service. Since it was an auction, I had to bid extremely high to make sure other buyers would not bid at the last minute and extend the auction by 5 minutes. Why? Because it's not automated and their service is practically useless outside of Japanese business hours. So I wouldn't be able to counter bid. Mind you, Mercari auctions usually end outside that time period.

After winning the auction, my friend who has a Mercari account messaged the seller to see if he had other high end collectibles. This is pretty normal. Luckily, the seller had several other great collectibles. The seller then listed them for me to purchase but since DeJapan takes over an hour to place purchase requests, someone else bought it. Luckily the seller canceled that order to honor our agreement. So my friend then asked the seller to create a listing specifically for DeJapan so that I can purchase it via DeJapan without someone stealing it. The seller does just that. Well, DeJapan then cancels my account because they said I violated their Term of Service because I reached out to a seller. That is not allowed. They treated me as if I was trying to circumvent their service which I clearly was not. The listing was specifically made for DeJapan on my request! I am bringing more business to DeJapan. This is the type of people you will be dealing with. They have zero business sense. Since then, I have given a lot of business to 2 of their rivals. Also, when making an offer to a Buyer, instead of just submitting the offer like a normal person, they have to discuss everything in the public comment section, so that hopefully the sellers agrees to change the price. By this time, someone else takes it since they see there is real interest in the item.

Summary
-No way of counter bidding
-Purchase requests take over an hour. So any good deals will be gone by then.
-God forbid you try to bring them more business by asking the seller to sell you more via DeJapan.
-Making offers is publicly disclosed and takes hours and, in my case, days since it was the weekend.
-On weekends and nights, it's as if this service is useless.

I have been using DeJapan for years. I've used other proxy sites before but wasn't fully satisfied until I found DeJapan. Their fees are clear and fair, they have great communication, quick to order the items I'm looking to purchase and quick to reach out with any issues. My items have always arrived quick with great packaging. There is not a single complaint I have.
I haven't used them for any auctions so I can't say what it's like but I've purchases from various Japanese sites with no issues. Overall, I highly recommend them and have personally recommend them to my friends over the years as well.

tu hai speso i soldi e loro se ne fregano del resto,
nessuna attenzione per il cliente, a loro non gli interessa, deveno spedire e poi chi si è visto si è visto,
tu puoi protestare ma a loro non gli interessa nulla.
State molto lontani da questi, in caso di problemi
loro se ne laveranno le mani e non vi daranno assistenza.

Qui aggiungono una risposta che mi ha fatto ridere, si aggrappano agli specchi e cercano di modificare il contenuto a loro puro scopo di interesse di quanto invece mi avevano recentemente scritto tramite email, ad esempio che loro non verificano il contenuto di quanto acquistato e lo spediscono così com'è.

The website is easy to navigate and see the latest listings. The proxy service instructions were clear of when my items would arrive to the warehouse and when it would ship. This service also makes it easy to buy items in bulk! I will definitely be using this service again!

Reliable as always, this is I believe my third or fourth order with Dejapan. Shipping with EMS takes a bit longer than stated to Canada these days (for me it was 3 weeks), but that's not on Dejapan (who sent out my order quickly), but on Japan Post. Well packed even in the default option.
