Excellent customer service, I have only had positive experiences with them even though I order a lot more than the average person (multiple packages every month). You did not follow which you yourselves confirmed in WRITTEN! it caused me a loss of 3755 yen and then you compensate just 1000 yen ! What do you mean by compensation as a goodwill gesture !! You lunatics should have compensated my loss and on top of that paid as good will gesture. Do you even understand the meaning of good will ???

YOU FOOLS, CUSTOMS DECLARATION DOES GUARANTEE THE DUTY CHARGED!!!!!!!!!!

If yo do not know these basic thing then you should not be doing this business in the first place.

You can read it your self in the first FAQ section of Mumbai customs page - What is the "Duty Structure on import of consignments through Postal Mode/Courier?"

if you were literate enough you could have read the duty structure mentioned on the website. At the very least you could have asked about duty structure in email, instead of writing bluntly that you wont respond to my email even after accepting the mistake!

The measure of a service provider is when it goes wrong

Used the service many times with no issues, fees are reasonable. The problem is I consolidated my order, rare and hard to find items. The sent me someone else’s order that was of no use to me and worth next to nothing, so much so they didn’t want it back. Problem is they sent my order to someone else’s and couldn’t recover it. I was very understanding as human error happens, however their refund has not even covered my outlays after PayPal exchange rate and fees. I pointed this out and they are not willing to even just make me whole - very poor.

Well they refuse to add discount to…

Well they refuse to add discount to invoice. They say they can't change price of item. Other proxy services always included it. They added real price and then discount. I am from EU and I have problem to declare parcel to customs. Customer service is very unfriendly and just don't bother. Use different proxy please. It is so shady that they don't use small package.

Worst proxy for me so far. They lost me as customer already

They even deleted my account after I sent in the complaint to paypal. Can you believe that? What kind of business do they run?

Although I told that proxy the issue with their packaging and they sweet talking me as a customer, they still send parcels with lack of packaging. I just received another one with damaged poster.
They are clearly not trustworthy and should not be used as a proxy if you care about your items getting safely to you. This proxy does not care about customers, just money making. No claims will be worked on to the customers satisfaction. With last parcel arrival, I will delete my account with them.

They get two stars for having website offers in english before clicking on them and for fee of 100 yen.
I cannot recommend them as they do not care much about customer service when it comes to CLAIMS! I have lost around estimated 200 USD as they did not care much about good packaging. They blame the japan post office which is not correct. They used a box that is not for shippings. The slim box and the inside were crushed. dejapan refuses any responsibilities and refuse giving me my money back on the items. I bought RARE stuff, not possible to get again - I searched for the items for a long time and it was really difficult to do.

My respond to dejapan reply here to me:
Sorry dejapan. You are just talking, but there is no doing on your side. You just want to blame someone else. It is on hand that you did what you did and not taking any responsibilities. You do NOT take claims seriously.
Nothing you say here is the real thing you do. You cannot make my review in any way look good. I still have lost money. You dont want to reimburse me!
I am not buying anything from dejapan anymore. I just hope now that my last packages will be with me soon.
I need a clean slate to move on and cry over my money that I have lost with dejapan.

If looking up other reviews and other people's social accounts, it is clear that there is an issue in the packaging department. Many received damaged goods which were in perfect condition when bought.
I am done with proxy. I could not delete my account as they did that already for me as they dont want to handle my claims. Shameful.

Good experience overall

What I like:
- Cheapest proxy service if you intend to buy more than 10 items. 100 yen handling fee is a price I couldn't find anywhere else.
- They usually respond to my email in 1 day. The customer service is friendly and helpful.
- My package came in perfect shape. I was scared that my eye shadows might crack due to surface mail, but they packed everything in a very strong box and added layers of bubble wrap.
What I don't like:
- It is difficult to find what you want on the search bar. You should access the websites that you want to buy from, search for your stuff in Japanese, and paste the link of the item into their website.
- They don't have small packet options to Canada.

Underrated Service, Highly Recommended.

I have no complaints, in the time I've used them I have never had a problem.

Each package I've ordered has arrived safe and in perfect condition, the extra packaging option and their methods of packing are top notch.
Any time I've talked to customer service they are very friendly and very professional, they're very prompt with regards, especially during business hours.
Very friendly!
The cost of using their service overall is reasonably fair, I've always chose extra packaging and the cheapest option available for shipping method, it's a solid deal for the overall quality of service they provide.

Overall DeJapan is one of the best shopping, shipping, and customer friendly services that I've ever used.
10/10,
I'm a customer for life.

Lack of customer service

Didn't realise there was no option for small packet. Was cheaper to discard parcel and order elsewhere, support refused. Couldn't recommend less. Would give less than one star if possible. Terrible customer service (they didn't help). Use fromjapan instead. Absolutely no reason to use this company over any other proxy service.

Why is there no airmail small package option?

Why is there no airmail small package shipping option to Canada?? I had previously stopped using Dejapan because I found their shipping fees after consolidation suspiciously high. This time I specifically used them because they have no buying fees and I was only buying one cassette, so I knew it would fit the bill for small package. Other proxies offer this shipping option, so it's absolutely possible, so why would I even think to check if Dejapan offered it? And now instead of paying ~¥900 (Buyee's small package quote for the exact item), I just paid ¥2500 for my item to arrive in 2-3 months. Brutal.

Dejapan held my compensation from UPS…

Dejapan held my compensation from UPS hostage. I paid very expensive shipping fees for this but Dejapan's service is very disappointing. The contents of package were broken. First, Dejapan did not property pack my contents. These were ceramic contents and they just wrapped some of the contents with paper. Second, I paid for UPS insurance and UPS told me that they had approved my claim. But UPS said the compensation needs to be sent to Dejapan. I contacted Dejapan multiple times to follow up on the release of my compensation money. Every I contacted them, Dejapan replied that they were not able to contact UPS and were still in the process of contacting UPS. It's been more than 3 months and I still haven't got back my money. This makes me think that Dejapan just never did anything about this or they just appropriated my compensation check.

Great Service with Minor Drawbacks – My Experience with DeJapan

My Experience with DeJapan:
I have used the proxy service DeJapan to consolidate three packages, and overall, I had a positive experience. The ordering process was smooth, and bidding on Yahoo Shopping worked flawlessly. One feature I found particularly useful was the low service fee per URL. While other providers charge between 250-500 Yen, DeJapan only charges 100 Yen, which is especially advantageous when ordering multiple items, as I did.

Another highlight is the customer support. When I encountered an issue with an unavailable item, I received a response via email within 24 hours. Although it took three days to resolve the problem, this delay was due to Amazon, not DeJapan’s customer service.

Areas for Improvement:
However, there are a few areas where DeJapan could improve. Unfortunately, they do not offer FedEx shipping to Germany, unlike other providers. As a result, I had to choose Surface shipping for all three packages, as DHL and EMS were too expensive for me. Unfortunately, the Surface shipping through DeJapan took significantly longer than with other providers. While packages from other services took around two months to arrive, my packages from DeJapan took 3 ½ months. Even a package sent simultaneously via Surface from another provider arrived about a month earlier.

Conclusion:
Despite the longer shipping times, I am very satisfied with DeJapan. The items arrived complete and undamaged, which I attribute to the "secure packaging" option I paid an extra 1000 Yen for. While I can't comment on the standard packaging, I believe the additional cost for secure packaging is worth it.

I give DeJapan 4 stars and hope that they will offer FedEx as a shipping option in the future. If they do, the service would be nearly perfect for me.

I ordered a few very fragile ceramic…

I ordered a few very fragile ceramic pieces from yahoo through dejapan. The fees were reasonable and they packaged the ceramics extremely carefully (one was in poor condition from the seller and highly prone to further cracking) and everything arrived in perfect shape.
