I was really appalled at DPS's out come…
I was really appalled at DPS's out come after we was given a section 21 just 8mths of renting a house. The landlord wanted to sell the house.
The landlord put a claim for nearly all of our deposit.
His disputed lies that he was claiming for were for things that was either damaged, dirty or worn before we got the keys and moved in.
He also accused us of removing plants from the garden, damaging a couple of sinks and whole load of other stuff.
I sent over 200 high resolution photographs that was time and date stamped proving how clean we left the whole house and garden, plus the landlords inventory that we got from the letting agent before we moved in, which said dirty fridge/freezer, dirty dishwasher, dirty cooker, stained skirting all through the house, rusty pitted taps to the en suite, stained carpets etc.
The house wasn't overly clean when we moved in as we found a set of false teeth in one of the bathroom cupboards plus the landlords personal belongings. 🤮.
So we had good a cleaning session before we moved all our belongings in.
Yet with all the photographs, inventory and other evidence that the landlord and letting agent were lying, DPS awarded the landlord just under half of our deposit.
Because we didn't get all of our deposit back this left us homeless for a few months until we could afford another rented property.

I have been unable to log into my account. On contacting the company they say they cannot locate my name even though I have ID number, address etc
So I have tried to create a new account but can’t do that apparently as I already have an account
Frustrating is an understatement as I am just going round in circles

Séamus was professional and accomodating to my questions. I managed to solve my enquiry into my deposit but also update my contact details. Thank you. Update: called up to activate my account. Mikee was very informative and supportive. I have been signposted to websites like justicefortenants.org to know my legal rights before handling the return of my deposit. Thank you both, really appreciate it.

Don't use this company paid deposit…
Don't use this company paid deposit directly to tenant still holding my deposit for no reason I sent all required document and all information wait for more than a month and still holding my money with no valid reason
