Super Happy with Drive 365!

I’m very happy with my experience with Drive 365. We received a free upgrade to a brand-new car with only 17 kilometers on the clock – absolutely great! The car was ready and waiting for us right next to Heraklion airport, which was super convenient.

Communication with Katerina was smooth and friendly via WhatsApp. Thanks to her, we easily found each other both on arrival and when returning the car. Everything went perfectly and without any hassle.

Next time, I will definitely choose Drive 365 again. Highly recommended!

ESCROCS......... OtoQ rentecar. Drive365 Athènes

L'agence OtoQ rentecar est un escroc habituée à voler les gens. Nous sommes arrivé à l'aéroport d'Athènes à 01h00 du matin et nous avons été emmené à l'agence. Le loueur nous nous a refusé la location au motif que mon permis n'était pas valide, alors que mon permis est bien valide, mais le QI limité de réceptionnaire n'a pas compris. le permis de conduire Français est valide à vie et que seul mes permis C et D était périmés. Après avoir fait intervenir la police qui a confirmé que mon permis était valide, le loueur à consentit sous la pression de la police à faire un nouveau contrat au nom de ma compagne mais au double du prix. Cependant il a refusé de me rembourser la 1er location de 96 euros. J'ajoute que cette agence prend 50 euros de frais supplémentaire au delà de 22h00, ce qu'aucune autres agences ne fait. Mais ils ne préviennent pas de cela et si vous avez un vol en retard c'est 50 euros en plus, sinon il ne vous loue pas le véhicule et vous laisse comme des idiots en plein milieu de nul part. Un vrai guet -apens ! Ainsi nous avons payé deux fois la location pour ne pas rester en pleine zone industrielle à 02h00 du matin. J'ajoute qu'en appelant la police, le loueur m'a menacé en me disant que les policiers étaient de ces amis et qu'ils me mettraient en prison.
AGENCE A FUIRE MEME SI PAS CHER D'APPARENCE. DES ESCROCS QUI DESHONNORE CE BEAU PAYS. TRES MAUVAISE AGENCE.
La réponse de l'agence sera certainement a la hauteur de la prestation. Mensongère et malhonnête.

Kindly be informed that the after-hours service fee is a standard practice in the car rental industry, as this is not a 24/7 service.
This charge is clearly mentioned in our Terms & Conditions, and if it was not communicated during the booking process, we recommend contacting your broker (BSP) for clarification.

Regarding the driver’s license, it was scanned using our ID scanner, which automatically verifies document validity. The scanner flagged the license as not valid, and as shown in the attached print screen (which I provided on our email correspondence), the system clearly indicated this status. Our staff is required to follow company policy and legal guidelines and cannot proceed with a rental if the license is not validated by the system. This policy protects both the client and the company in case of any road or police-related incidents.

To help resolve the situation, our representative contacted the local police. Following their presence, a new contract was made under your companion’s name, who held a valid license.
While we understand the situation was frustrating, our team acted professionally and followed procedure in order to assist you with the best possible way.

Renter Beware

I would not rent from this company. In fact, I am highly suspicious of their methods. We rented from Sarajevo Airport. They pressure you to buy their extra insurance, which is 2x the cost of the rental vehicle itself. When you continue to decline, they say they can only pass your card through the internet to take your deposit. They cannot use their card machine. We tried for 2 hours to use my 2 different credit cards. One was a U.S. card, one was a Spanish card. Neither worked. I spoke directly at the time of the attempted transactions with my credit card company in the U.S. No transaction went through on their end. My Spanish card showed the transaction and I approved the transaction, and then their system rejected the transaction. After 2 hours, and at this point after 10 pm, there was no alternative offered. We could rent a car from somewhere else. Even though we had pre-paid this rental. We went to the remaining rental locations that were open. Such a surprise to find that nothing was available. We had to buy extra insurance that we did not need, so that they could use their point of sale machine. And what a miracle. Our card worked fine. They kept telling us this is Bosnia and things work diferently. We never had any other issues during our entire week with any other company and any of our cards.

Rebuttal to business response: There was nothing wrong with my credit card settings. The system worked on your POS machine. It did not work in your internet based deposit system which was the only possibility given by your company in Sarajevo if we were not going to purchase additional insurance. We had no other option but to pay an extra 200€ insurance, which was a reduction from the 270€ required originally, only because we were not going to cross a border. Obviously we felt we had no other option. We were in Sarajevo at 10:30 pm without a vehicle. No other vehicles were available. We still had an hour to drive to our hotel. Your employees insisted that the point of sale machine could ONLY be used if we purchased insurance. We had no other option. It is not that we FELT that we had no other option. We literally had no other option. We had insurance through the 3rd party provider and our credit card. Your business practices are highly questionable in Bosnia. This is evidenced by other individuals who have left reviews after their experiences in Sarajevo. There was no problem with my credit card(s), as was evidenced when the US card was successfully used on your point of sale machine to both purchase insurance and leave a deposit.

The worst car rental company in the…


The worst car rental company in the world. They either inform you of all the clauses of the contract, such as that it has a tracking device, which for privacy reasons you should be aware of. They say a scratch on the car is €900, an outrage. The worst part is that they stole €300 from us, saying that we had driven on an unpaved road, which was not the case. And on top of that, they threatened us via email that we had to return the car four days before the end of the contract and that they were going to report them for the car theft. Some incredible things have ruined our vacation, but we will report them to our law firm. Do not rent cars in Sarajevo with this company. They will try to deceive you and get your money in any way.

Please be aware that, as we have informed you in multiple emails, driving off-road is a specific violation of the rental agreement. This gives the supplier the right to demand the immediate return of the vehicle to the station because it poses a significant risk to both the vehicle and your safety.

Due to the lost credit card and the subsequent declined charge, the vehicle was left without valid insurance coverage, which unfortunately creates a serious risk and liability for all parties involved.

Kindly be aware that the GPS will only activate in the event that the vehicle loses contact with the road, and this is a safety measure to prevent potential accidents.


Given the above, the local supplier has acted fully within the legal rights and contractual obligations, all charges were processed in strict accordance with the contract terms.

Beware of Unethical Practices at Direct365 Bosnia

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience.

I hired a vehicle from 6th March 2025 to 9th March 2025 through a third-party provider, with a €1,400 security deposit. The car was mainly used for airport transfers and a trip to a well-known waterfall in Bosnia. Aside from that, it was securely parked at Hotel Europa. Unfortunately, the problems began when I returned the vehicle.

From the start, the car had significant cosmetic damage. While I should have inspected it more thoroughly, I did record a video as a precaution, knowing that some companies engage in foul play. However, due to sun glare, not every detail was captured. That said, the scratch they claim I caused is visible in my video before we even took the vehicle.

The day after the incident, I raised my concerns with the Bosnian franchise, but although the staff member was polite, he did not seem to understand my frustration. My issue was not just with the deposit being withheld, but rather with the unethical behaviour of the young man conducting the inspection, which ultimately left us out of pocket. Regardless of his age, I would expect him to be properly trained for the role.

It was clear he was actively searching for an excuse to charge us. Before pointing out the scratch that led to our deposit being withheld, he first tried to claim a dirt mark was a scratch—until we wiped it off in his presence. He then moved to the back of the car and identified a pre-existing scratch as new damage. The most concerning part was that once he found this, he did not recheck the rest of the vehicle. His actions felt deliberate, especially as we had already been discussing his behaviour amongst ourselves.

I will be sharing my video and documents detailing this experience on Reddit and LinkedIn. If you come across my post, feel free to reach out. I have also contacted the third-party booking company to warn them about this franchise.

I strongly urge anyone considering Direct365 in Bosnia to be extremely careful. Had I not been in a foreign country with a flight to catch, I would have challenged the staff member further. Unfortunately, a company representative defended his actions, calling it a matter of perspective. However, there is no perspective when it comes to fabricating or exaggerating damage.

Finally, this experience has left me with a deeply negative impression of the company. A contract is a contract, but considering how much pre-existing damage the car had, I have to ask: Where is the money from withheld deposits actually going? Are these so-called repairs ever carried out? Given what happened to me, I urge future customers to be extra cautious when dealing with this company.

Please kindly note, we would like to clarify the situation to ensure that there are no misunderstandings regarding the matter.

At the local station, you have signed all relevant documentation acknowledging your responsibility for any new damage incurred during the rental period. You have repeatedly confirmed the understanding and acceptance of these terms.

As we are informed, you opted not to purchase additional insurance locally from the supplier, instead relying on third-party coverage, which is entirely acceptable; however, you were informed both verbally and in writing that any new damage found upon return would be charged up to the excess amount.

Once the vehicle had been returned, new damage was identified that was not present at pick-up.

Given the supplier's detailed inspection process, there is no ambiguity regarding the damage's timing. Furthermore, you confirmed in the damage report that the new damage to the vehicle occurred while it was under your rental.

It is important to note, all charges were processed in strict accordance with the contract terms. You personally authorized the payment via a secure 3D verification process using your own mobile device or email, which required you to enter a unique code.

It must be emphasized, that the company follows a strict, industry-standard process to document vehicle conditions, ensuring full transparency and the same is done upon return.

In this case, new damage was identified and documented during the check-in process, and you signed the report acknowledging this.

Given the above, the local supplier has acted fully within the legal rights and contractual obligations. You were informed, acknowledged, and agreed to all terms at every stage of the rental process.

Please kindly note, there is no legal basis for the continued dispute as:

- The rental contract explicitly authorizes such charges in the case of new damage regardless of the nature or how the damage was made.
- You were fully aware of your obligations and confirmed the understanding multiple times.
- The charge was not imposed unilaterally but was personally authorized by you through a legally binding verification process.
- The claim that the damage was pre-existing is contradicted by the thorough documentation process, which includes time-stamped evidence.

Avoid booking rent a car with this company

I booked car in Sarajevo airport with company Drive 365. They ask deposit block of unlimited money from my visa credit card.
Obviously my Barclays bank refuse to block deposit with UNLIMITED amount. I have been renting car for so many years and never seen rent a car asking for unlimited amount to block. The Drive 365 offer another way to pay paying but it was very expensive premium car insurance.
My wife and I had no other choice than rent last minute car from another company which is 5 times more expensive than we originally booked with Drive 365. They also spoiled our holiday as we waited 3 hours in Sarajevo airport to get another car.
I think this is fraudulent company. Avoid booking car through them.

Kindly note that our local supplier in Sarajevo is a reputable partner, and therefore, we wish to clarify the matter with greater specificity.

To ensure a successful deposit process, the exact deposit amount must be clearly indicated. To the best of our knowledge, it is not possible to block an unlimited amount on a customer’s credit card.

Additionally, the local supplier has confirmed that at the rental counter, you declined all additional insurance options, which indicates that you chose not to reduce the excess amount.

As you choose to continue with your initial online booking terms, the deposit amount the counter agent tried to hold was the excess, which was €900 (1,800 BAM), and not an unlimited amount.

We have received a screenshot from the local supplier showing the declined transactions, which includes the exact deposit amount and confirms that the authorization was declined on five separate occasions.

We will be glad to provide it for your reference upon request.

VARNING Skambolag

Jag hade hyrd bil från dem via Discovercar.com i İzmir. Jag landat med kl 20:00 på kvällen med mina barn och kontaade Drive365 för att få bilen. Efter någara minuter återkom de och meddelade mig att bilen som hyrd är krockade och de har ingen bil att erbjuda. Tänk på kl 20:00 på kvällen med små barn som är tröttna och gråtande och tänker man hur ska man fixa ny bil.
De är ett skam bolag. Nu efter en månad fortfarande har inte fått min förskott betalningen.☹️☹️☹️👎👎👎👎👎

They charged 900€ for small dot…

They charged me 900€ for one small dot on the underside of the bumper which i didnt take a photo of before. They didnt inform me about the charge and neither sent me any proof that it was my fault.
Disgustig scammers. Dont book here. It took me 2 months of calling and writing emails only to find even out that they charged it and why.

I recently had a frustrating experience…

I recently had a frustrating experience with Drive365 after renting a car during my trip to Greece. Upon returning home, I was shocked to find a charge of 500 Euros on my credit card from them. Confused, I checked my email and discovered they had sent me paperwork to sign while I still had the car, which included the charge labelled underside protection.

When I contacted Drive365, I was informed that the charge was for damages to the underside of the car. However, I pointed out that it seemed impossible for them to assess any damages while I still had the vehicle. I also highlighted that I had purchased full insurance that covered underside protection and had not signed any documents acknowledging damages.

After sending five emails and numerous screenshots to clarify my position, communication from Drive365 abruptly stopped. This lack of response and transparency is deeply concerning. I expected better customer service and resolution from a rental company.

I would caution potential customers to thoroughly review their rental agreements and be wary of unexpected charges. My experience has left me feeling frustrated and disappointed with Drive365.

The damage was discovered on the Underside Protection of the vehicle as the vehicle checked in to the station and the car wash has been made.

It is important to note, CDW insurance does not cover the underside protection of the vehicle.
It is essential to highlight that a thorough inspection of the vehicle's underside, including potential damage, can only be conducted in a controlled environment, such as the repair shop.

We are confident in the accuracy of our assessment of the damage and the associated costs. Consequently, the appropriate charges were applied.

En skrammet/ridset/bulet udslidt bil

Heraklion Lufthavn, 12.10.24 - 19.10.24. En VW polo bil, der stod til at have kørt 64.000, men motor og førersædet virkede til, at den havde kørt væsentligt meget mere. Bilen blev udleveret kl. 23.45 i mørke om aftenen og lyst på med medarbejders lommelygte.

Den var fuld af småbuler og ridser. Medarbejderen virkede modvillig, når han blev bedt om at markere skaderne på lejeaftalen. Lejeaftalen var udformet på en ny blanket uden afmærkede skader/ridser, altså som udgangspunkt en bil uden fejl.

Jeg gjorde opmærksom på den ene fejl efter den anden. Til sidst sagde han, at han så ville markere hele højre side i forbindelse med, at jeg til allersidst gjorde opmærksom på et par ridser bagest på højre side/ydersiden af bagkofanger højre side.

Da vi afleverede bilen, (uden at have påkørt noget som helst), gjorde han mig ansvarlig for sidstnævnte ridser bagest på højre side/yderst til højre på bagkofanger. Han henviste til, at de var på "bumper" (altså kofanger) højre side og kun i forlængelse af højre side. Derfor hørte den, efter hans mening, ikke under højre side, som han jo havde markeret som ridset/bulet hele vejen, men derimod bagkofanger.

Jeg kunne intet gøre, da jeg ikke havde fotos, men stolede oprindeligt på, at højre side var inklusive ridserne på bagest højre side inklusive ydersiden til højre på kofanger, da denne går ud i et med højre side.

Desuden viste benzinmåleren undervejs enten fuld eller nul under kørsel, hvilket gjorde at vi straks måtte tanke, da den viste nul. Den fik så påfyldt 12 liter og blev dermed fuld, herefter fungerede den normalt.

Bilen var utrolig skrammet og ridset og virkede meget slidt og det er derfor helt vildt, uanset, at kræve 362 EUR (heraf 63 EUR i såkaldte "administrationsomkostninger") for 2 små ridser på en bil totalt fuld af ridser/buler i forvejen, som jeg endda mener at have udpeget for ham ved afhentning. Jeg sagde til medarbejderen: "Nå det er sådan I tjener Jeres penge", hvilket han ikke modsagde mig i. Dette efter at have påstået, at alle skader sandelig ville blive repareret ved årsskiftet.

Jeg har en forsikring på selvrisiko skader og skal derfor ikke selv betale noget, men jeg synes, at firmaet Drive er værd at advare imod!

Den samlede opkrævede skadegodtgørelse med alle de enormt mange skader bilen havde, må efter min mening, udgøre langt over bilens handelsværdi`!

Worst ever car hire experience through Drive365

I booked a car with Drive365 via VIPcars.com for collection in Orlando for 2.5 weeks for a Disneyworld trip. Although the collection voucher listed Drive365 as the rental company, it turns out they are just another booking agent and the actual rental firm was a local company, name not listed on the booking. Our flight arrived on time at Orlando airport but passport control was very busy and slow, and so by the time we made our way towards the car rentals it was around 7:30pm with the car booked from 7pm. Only then did I realise the car hire location was off site and I had to ring for a shuttle to collect. Still, no worry, I rang to arrange the shuttle - but it needed several calls because the local company communicated very poorly. Eventually we got details of where to meet them shortly before 8pm (less than 1 hour after the booked pick up time). However the shuttle didn't arrive. I had to ring several times more and was then told the rental had been cancelled due to not being picked up within an hour of the stated pick up time - even though we had called to collect well within the hour. Even worse, we were told that there was no alternative car available. I was left with my wife and 2 young children stranded at Orlando airport, sleeping on a hard floor until I managed to make alternative arrangements - much more costly because of having to book at the last minute with a reputable car hire firm. We had to get a taxi to our accommodation for $76 and I am having to go back to the airport to pick up our car today.

What a sorry mess and perhaps the most shocking incidence of terrible customer service I have ever experienced. I will never book through VIP or Drive365 again.

Update following Drive365's reply: the provider made NO effort to provide an alternative, leaving a young family stranded. And they cancelled despite me ringing before the 1 hour grace period expired. Drive365's reply reinforces that they are a disreputable company who deserve to go out of business.

As stated in the T&C of the company, "Your reservation will be considered as NO-SHOW if you cannot be present on time at the station to pick up your car without a prior notice. In this case a no-show fee may be applied."

Please note, even though the grace period is over, the supplier will do his best to find a vehicle for the customer.

However, availability is not guaranteed.

Review for Drive365 car rental - Heraklion Crete

I had the pleasure of renting a car from drive365 in Heraklion on the 4th of October 2024, and I can only commend their exceptional services. The staff I interacted with demonstrated excellent communication skills, being extremely friendly and courteous. The gentleman who handed over the car was particularly attentive to details and to my needs, ensuring everything was in perfect order.

Their organization is top-notch; everything proceeded swiftly and efficiently. They are very punctual, and the process of receiving and returning the car was remarkably quick, just as any discerning customer would desire.

The car provided, a Peugeot 208, was reliable and in pristine condition. The interior had the fresh scent of a new car, and the fuel consumption was impressively economical, approximately 5 L/100 km. I enjoyed comfort and modern technology, and the value for money was outstanding, deserving a score of 11 out of 10.

Additionally, the deposit of €900 was released after just two days, which was greatly appreciated.

At first when I arrived in the airport…

At first when I arrived in the Heraklion airport I was waiting more than 20 minutes to meet the car agent. While I paid premium insurance you blocked from my account bank 900€. I asked for the return amount of 900€ how many days it is needed to have been blocked and your employer answered me after 30 working days. This is not normal when I deliver the car without any damages and mainly with 8/8 fuel instead 7/8. I would like to unblock my money of 900€ as soon as possible and not more than a week. The deliver of the car in the airport was very simple and easy. The car was in excellent condition.

Heraklio experience

Upon arriving to the Heraklio airport we met Angelos who was very professional and fast. Pickup and dropoff was very fast as well, checked all the marks of previous damage. Great communication as well.
Rental price wasn't expensive but deposit amount is VERY high, 900€ for small car, which we know in advance, but part that we didn't know is that is only paid by card and it takes 30+ business days for refund. Adding cash a a faster way to get money back can be very helpful for turists.
