As a seller, I would never use eBay.ca. A friend sold an item that was professionally graded by Action Figure Authority. The buyer saw the grading, looked at the pictures, and agreed to purchase the item. My friend explicitly stated there would be no refunds.
The buyer received the item and didn't agree with the professional grading. The buyer requested a refund and eBay sided with him. My friend requested the item to be shipped back, but it was never received.
In summary, the buyer received the item, received a refund, and my friend had to pay eBay the listing fees still.
DO NOT SELL ANY ITEMS ON EBAY.
I purchased an item from eBay Canada
I purchased an item from eBay Canada, with shipping about 500 USD in total (67 inch Two piece design XT Race Ramps) originating from USA, to lift my car so that I can change the engine oil. They made it to the Canada border, sat there a month, and then were returned with a comment that I supposedly made stating that "I don't want them". What a lie! While they were sitting there, I tried to contact UPS but couldn't get through, and 3 phone numbers to contact eBay, but all I got was a recorded voice message and then hung up on me. What a scam. I will never order from eBay ever again. I gave them 1 star, if a zero was available, that would be my rating, Thank You, Al D

I had recent purchase of $5.75 for 2 bulbs and I completed the transaction not knowing what came after it. After few hours I got the email that transaction has been completed and the product has been shipped. The total transaction $2009.75. So the shipping cost for the light bulb is $1000 per light bulb. This was not displayed at the time of purchase. I tried to stop and cancel the transaction but eBay did not respond as well as PayPal. I spent hours and days talking (chatting) with them but useless customer support. They do not see any fraud in the transactions.
I am not sure what to do at this moment because I cannot get them on the phone and useless chat with call center in Philippines doesn't provide solution. eBay protection plan is nothing else than simple scam.
Fraud and theft
eBay cancels a seller that I the purchaser bought something and doesn't tell me that they cancelled seller account. Why didn't eBay protect me. Check transactions that were going through. Now this a fraud case filed.
Discusting taking advantage of people during a pandemic
I have had very few positive experiences with eBay.
From not receiving items to now being taken advantage of during a pandemic. It is appalling that eBay does nothing to stop merchants from marking prices up 10 fold.
Something that costs 180$ normally is being sold for 600$ on eBay. Discusting!! eBay should have policies in place that do not allow sellers to mark an item up more than a certain percent above market value.

Beware of eBay they are not trustable. I am doing on line shopping through eBay since 5 to 6 years and today I noticed through my credit card statement that they always charge extra money on per order. They mentioned different price on website and always charge extra. It's request whoever doing shopping on eBay please compare prices with yours credit or MasterCard statement always should be extra. And I call eBay customer service they said they can't help. it's really unprofessional and unexpected.

Incredible bs, some of these ebay sellers no words to describe. Seller advertises that he ships from canada warehouse. Buy from me dont buy from others that they ship from china and its 21-60 days blablaba bla and incrediblely after 3 days isend him a msg on where is my package and he replys to calm down its on its way bla bla . So i check the tracking put not post canada but ebi tracking and guess what estimated shipping since dec 9 th arriving maybe January 1 2020 -jan 28 2020 . No words, just disgust of losers like that . It is even for a xmas gift. The seller then replys to me sorry im confused i will check delivery if it doesnt arrive in 3 days i sent you another or / refund now im confused . It seems that I am in eBay 'Purgatory'. I have previously purchased items from eBay as a 'guest', and been happy with the results. Lately, eBay has been after me to open an account, which I finally relented to do do. Big mistake! I filled out the online application form and when it came to 'phone number', as I don't have a phone, I just wrote 000-000-0000. It was accepted and Ebay opened an account in my name. The first time I went to use it, to purchase an item, I put it in my 'cart', and when I went to pay for it, it now says that the phone number is invalid and will not allow to purchase to proceed. Ebay is continuing to send me notices that I have an item purchase pending. I have tried to cancel the account, but that's not being allowed to proceed either, without a valid phone number. So now I have an eBay account, that they encouraged me to open, accepted my application, but now refuse to allow me to use, nor can I delete it. The only option given to contact them, is a customer service ph. #, that I can't use, because I don't have a phone! I can no longer purchase as a 'guest' either, because my account info appears every time I log onto the eBay site. It is absolutely senseless that eBay would allow me to open an account without a valid ph. #, and then not allow me to make any transactions with it, for that very same reason. So now I'm stuck in eBay 'Purgatory, unable to move either forward, or back.
LOTS OF SCAMMERS
Its hard to give a review because basically it depends on the integrity of the seller.A few are honest but there are al ot of scammers.I have bought seed a number of times,a lot of it was cheap seed passed off as rare varieties,but one seller from Urkraine has always been good.Trouble is even when you complain about the seller they still keep their good rating.Annoying trends is when they keep your money for months ,claiming to have mailed the article..then cancel saying its unavailable and refund .Also the phony coloured pictures.I pretty much have stopped buying on ebay.ca for these reasons.Even the English seed companies were scammers and the seed took so long to grow and be identified, it was no longer refundable .US sellers sold me invasive weed seeds for double balsam.Chinese dinnerplate dahlias took 8 months to grow into single cheapo dahlias.Mostly a waste of time energy not to mention money Should add wanted to buy socks on there,3 different Chinese companies refused to givevme the actual foot length,obviously a scam selling kids sock as adult size socks,size 6 cannot fit a size 10 foot without it being extremely tight.

ridiculous, I have ordered few things here and one of those is damaged and one is too small. I've spent couple hours contacting them and return those items but I couldn't found any help from them. I have sent them an email and they didn't even respond that. I've wasted my money here. Its useless site ever.
Long time seller treated too harshly and ignored
I've been a seller since around 2006. During that time, I only had one bad review from a buyer (and I challenged it) but ebay just sent me a message saying my seller performance was below standard in the UK - and I live in Canada (look at my address ebay!). Adding insult to injury, I reported a buyer who purchased my washing machine but did not pay, return my messages or collect the item - causing me additional charges for the removal of the item from my flat. Ebay did NOTHING with my report. I waited patiently and sent a follow up email - still NOTHING. On top of that, I treated my buyers with far more respect than I have been shown. I just closed my account. Good riddance! ebay administration is very poor. I work 50-60 hours per week and I don't need this nonsense in my life.

The system says that it shipped however it shipped from Ontario where is where live. What a DISAPPOINTMENT. I will not purchase anything from ebay again. There system SUCKS as it is not user friendly. Ebay could take a lesson from Amazon.

I had my share of problems with e bay but when I return a item there ad says free returns for 30 days and I print everything e bay gives me to print and when I go to post office they still charge me $5.00 to ship so I try to contact seller nothing.
