I had an emergency on Friday and was told one price over the phone and when the locksmith turned up was quoted over £200 and also had the audacity to say there was a call-out charge applied to this amount. Their website clearly states there’s no call-out charge. To make things even more worse, timing is diabolical as it took over 1:40min from call to arrival to arrive at my property. Trying to resolve the matter with the company is even more difficult.

Do not use, it’s as simple as that!

Called these people after I was locked out of my house. Was told someone would be with me in 35-40 mins. After 1.5hr I called again to ask what the delay was, to be told they would contact the locksmith in my local area and get them to call me. After 20 mins I hadn’t received a call. I called another locksmith (local) who told me he would be 5 mins and was true to his word. I called Emergancylocksmith24 again to tell them I didn’t require their service any longer as I had arranged for another locksmith to come out. They were rude and insisted the locksmith tried to call me several times (only tried once whilst I was on the phone with the local locksmith) and then when I confirmed I did t require their service, they put the phone down on me. Complete waste of time. Don’t bother contacting them for help!

Do not use! They turn up and request a call out fee (despite the website claiming they don't), they want extortionate money to open a door. Then when you want to pay their card machine is miraculously broken and they want a bank transfer to a completely unrelated business account. Claimed that a receipt/invoice will be emailed through but despite constant chasing will not provide. Very sketchy. Do not use!!!

On the phone I asked him his charges before confirming the booking, he said lock can be changed or picked in £50.
That 8 months pregnant prick came in quickly saw the lock and said this cant be picked and asked for a fee even though he hardly stayed a minute.

Please avoid this rip off company!!!

Like many others, I wish I had checked these reviews before calling. Website states no call out fee, was told call out fee would be £49 and as he was here we had to pay it. Then tried to tell us he had to drill and replace the lock, even though, the only issue was a key left in the lock on the other side. Tried to charge us £300. We told him it wasn’t going to happen, so then he jimmied the door and got it open. £189 for 2 minutes work, I am absolutely furious! Will never use again and do not recommend.

Terrible service.Promised to come within 40mins but waited nearly 3hours.Kept calling them.Finally came but charge £85 just for open the door!being told on the phone only £39-£49 plus £25 with new lock.Never ever use them again！

Don't call them.
I understand Labour not cheap. But drilling lock - £100- 10 minutes job, way too much. They charged for new cylinder (shop price £17) 90 pounds.

My experience is reflected in previous reviews which I wish I had looked at.
Do not use this service. The website states no call out fee but on arrival the locksmith said £200 for start before doing anything. £600 later for a 20 minute job.
There was pressure to get back into the house due to a visit to see a relative going through chimo. Complained to the company, no response, messaged the guy who came, again no response.

I was in an emergency, the locksmith turned up within 30mins which is great, but i was charged £120 for helping me break into the sidegate after locking myself out the house. No new lock needes, no technical skill, 10mins for £120! Shop around first!

Same as other reviews. Total rip off. Avoid at all costs. Quited £49 initially, actually wanted £170 for the most basic repair. Don’t waste your money.

On returning to my house I could not open the door - the key was spinning. My door is a deadlock and I had no other means of gaining entry. I did have my phone (and my dog) so quickly googled what I thought were a local company. Reviews were ok on their site so called them out. Couldn't give me a price until the lock was looked at. Two guys turned up (one was learning the trade). Had to drill out handle and mechanism and install new handles, cylinder, mechanism. £919 in total. I had no choice but to pay but seems extremely expensive.

The website says it's 30 minutes and it's £39 to open the door. But when he gets here. The guy wanted to charge me £160 and damage my door, after he said “I do it for £150” I disagreed. Then he dropped the price again to £100. 0 stars if I could

Steer clear! This man came round, charged us £60 call out without warning and did nothing. He quoted £600 to fix our door, he told us the wrong part was broken and when another, great locksmith came round to fix the door it was £300 with no call out. Meanwhile this company came back and offered to do it for £380. Disgusting behaviour which smacks of exploiting a bad situation as we were unable to lock our front door! Beware!

Charged £120 for a swipe open job!
No drilling involved, the guys was around for 1 minutes top, only swiped a soft plastic paper to open top lock (as the bottom one was open).
"No call out charge" says the website, that's a con!
From £39, that's a lie too!
Max for that job I expected £50. But taking advantage of a person like this is outrageous!

I recently had a very disappointing experience with EmergencyLocksmith24, also known as EnfieldLocksmith. In my opinion, they are scammers who exploit emergency situations. I found myself locked out of my flat and called them for assistance. When the locksmith arrived, he attempted to pick the lock but then claimed that it was "unpickable" and couldn't be opened. This was simply not true – it was a very basic Yale lock that any competent locksmith should have been able to pick easily. Instead, he insisted that the only solution was to destroy the lock and replace it, which I refused. Despite not resolving my issue, he still charged me £49 just for showing up and attempting to scam me. I feel it is my responsibility to share this experience to warn others. At the time of writing this review, I have noticed several other similar complaints about this company. I strongly advise avoiding them at all costs.

These people are SCAMMERS!!! They came to my friend and I since we were locked out. They quoted us £70 max for opening the door and a lock replacement. When the quy came he said the price would be £180. When we heard that we laughed and said no to which he said we would have to pay a cancellation fee (not mentioned anywhere). The fee was £40 and when we said we would not pay it he threatened with dept collection. My friend paid as it was very stressful. We are now disputing the charge and getting this "company" shut down. DO NOT USE.

If I could give zero stars I would. They charged me £300 for a job that should have been £84. They will not respond to emails asking to explain why this was over the city average and totally took advantage of me.

AVOID! Terrible customer service, if any. They don't reply to the emails (already emailed 3x and nothing but interestingly enough if you need locksmith they reply within few minutes) and they are totally overcharging for 10 min job. Not given options of locks, they will give you the most expensive product. Stay away from them. They should stop doing what they are doing!!! No help at all.

Vulnerable young naive female locked out house late at night. She was a target for these guys. Advised of no call out charge as stated on website. When the guy arrived an hour later he quoted £360 which was excessive but my daughter was desperate and crying. After drilling out the lock he then advised of another £250 to put in a new lock which we since found in screw fix for £20!!
After job was completed he charged her £799. When questioned he said it was a call out charge and tax! My daughter being young didn’t have any choice but to pay as the work was done and he was going to remove the lock.
The next day an invoice came through and stated the same price but different breakdown. Questioned with company with no reply.
On returning home that night she was locked out again. Keys didn’t work in the lock and when contacting the company they had no interest in helping her. Despite telling her she had warranty.
Contacted police and trading standards who advised writing a letter of complaint - NO RESPONSE TO THIS and we are now going down the route of Trading Standards which they advised us to do if no response.
WE WILL TAKE THIS ALL THE WAY!!!

No hidden costs they say, No call out charge!!! Lies and they use your fear and if you’re niave they will play on that.

They also use different phone numbers every time you contact the company. DODGY!

Say they’re based locally. They’re actually in London and send any random out. My daughter’s door was hacked away at. They even drilled into the frame. She now has the additional cost of fixing that too along with the additional cost of getting another locksmith to let her in the property the following night as they wouldn’t rectify the mistake.

WE WILL USE SMALL CLAIMS COURT IF WE NEED TO. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Charged £380 for having a shed lock changed what a rip off!! about £100 job and the new lock doesnt even fit well at all im going to have to buy a new one!! How can you justify this price? Im letting trading standards know and reporting it this company should be banned on google, never trust any numbers unless they are legit, my bad for not looking into it first!! Shocking... 🤬
