AVOID. Quoted £175 to pick a lock, only to then charge £210 due to an ‘emergency tax’ which wasn’t mentioned beforehand. Just to reiterate, AVOID this company.

Please do not use these people. They quoted £160 to replace a lock and then used intimidation to get £537 from a vulnerable young girl who was really scared in Edinburgh. Have tried to contact them and no one responds, its despicable taking advantage of a vulnerable situation and dangerous individuals

Charged a call out cost when the website says it doesn't, as everyone has said drilled out the lock then went on to tell us of the other charges to replace.
When I (a women) challenged I was told that my husband was weak fortunately I have it all recorded and will happily share.
Wish I had read the reviews before proceeding.

Called these guys as I left my keys in the house. Only a simple yale to break into. I was told 30-40 minutes call out time. £39 if it was a consultation or from £49 if labour was chosen. If I had the tools, which I didn’t as I was locked out, it was a simple, take door post off to access the Yale locking mechanism. Hammer in a screwdriver and put weight on the door.
But oh no, these foreign speaking guys called me back. The other ‘local’ guy had an accident so another guy would come 70 miles from Edinburgh. I explained to him that I wouldn’t pay him any more than £49 as it was such an easy job. But he insisted it would need drilled and that would cost around £150. I told him to shove it where the sun don’t shine.
Then I knocked a few neighbours doors. Got a hammer and screwdriver and was in my house within 5 minutes.
These guys will con you into thinking it’s a really hard job. Avoid these scammers like the plague.

These people will rob you left right and centre!! From saying over the phone the call-out would be £49 to then having to pay £279 ABSOLUTE RIP OFF! The job took 10 minutes and they’ve charged so so much money.

These guys need stopping. They were unclear about pricing on the phone and continued to be vague right up until the lock was drilled, then demanded £300 without even replacing the lock! Kicking the door in would have been cheaper. Horrible people that prey on those in times of stress. Total scammers. Their site needs taking down immediately.

Old lady in our block of flats locked herself out, we called this company, they said it would be £49 and they would be here in 30 mins. Took 50 mins, and then they charged her £95. All they did was use a plastic card down the side of the door, that was it. Absolutely ripped off an old lady, who is now very upset. When she told me this I called them, and the woman who answered didn’t care at all. Don’t use this company.

Never never use this total ripoff company, I locked myself out and phoned these people, on arrival I asked if he had a master key, his reply was 'not for this door' he then proceeded to prise the door open with a flat bladed metal bar, when I saw that he was doing damage to the door and frame I told him to stop, he then said he can open the door with no damage but it would cost me £400, I was extremely reluctant to pay this amount but desperate to get into the house so unfortunately I agreed. He then took a weird shaped metal rod from his toolkit put it through the letterbox and pushed the handle down from the inside and the door opened, he was only with me for ten minutes total, £400 for ten minutes work relates to £2,400 an hour. I find this company absolutely disgusting in ripping off vulnerable and desperate people, something needs to be done about these despicable companies.

Emergencylocksmith24 came 22nd Jan. Their advertising says No call out fee. But invoice shows £50 call out fee. My cctv camera shows 11 minutes of work on front door that slammed shut. Total cost £509.00. I was not home when this happened. A member of my family dealt with them. Do not use these overpriced locksmiths.

This company advertised reasonably low prices when guy arrived didn't tell me an estimated cost just carried on with the work regardless a temporary fix he said he was doing at the end of the repair he slapped me with a bill for over £400 which I thought was totally disgusting
Tried emailing the company but no response to my email they charged £189 for labour alone had he given me a quote for that amount before he started the work I would of said to just leave it
Don't believe what you read on their website it's a total pack of lies would definitely not recommend this Company to anyone total rip off merchants

A total example of bait and switch. I was phoning around for quotes and this company seemed reasonable. I explained what type of door it was and they gave me a firm quote over the phone. The chap turned up and suddenly the price triples. I don't blame the workman, I blame the company for quoting inaccurate prices over the phone. The thing is, that people are desperate to get in..and are more than likely to accept what the workman says when he arrives..people don't want to have to phone around again. They want to get into their house. Despicable what this company is doing.
