I had lost faith in the nhs and found Exeter health via Google as somewhere that did shockwave therapy - a treatment that is known to work for Achilles tendonopathy, I was assessed and a treatment plan put in place. I was very sceptical but after just a few weeks, I have no pain and am able to walk when I get up in the morning. They have given me my life back - cannot recommend thoroughly enough.

I decided to go to see Jack at Exeter Health Plus with a list of long-term health issues, after I saw him treat my elderly mother for plantar fasciitis. He was quick, efficient and absolutely brilliant with her. I've been going to see Jack for a few months now, and despite overwhelming him with a considerable list of problems in various joints, muscles and ligaments... he took all my concerns on board, did a thorough assessment and we've worked through most of those issues. Jack listens, is adaptable, knowledgeable and working with him long-term to improve my physical health has been incredible. It's a partnership rather than expecting him to do all the work - so it's worth being prepared to do the physio exercises if given.
My mother also had sciatica and I was able to see Richard work with her using spinal decompression therapy. She was 89 at the time, and within a few treatments she was walking much better, despite her age, and it freed up her lower back so she was standing much straighter.
Georgia is always welcoming, friendly and helpful. It's such a pleasure to go in to see them. I highly recommend Exeter Health Plus to anyone looking for comprehensive physio treatment, long or short term.

I attended this practice after injuring my back, u was barely able to lean forward or stand for any length of time. I contacted the Practice and was given a swift appointment with Jack (one of two jack at this practice).

The service was outstanding, everything was explained clearly. Any questions I had were answered in depth and nothing was too much.

Georgia (the receptionist) was excellent and let me know about traffic issues in advance.

I can now go back to the gym thanks to Jack and my back is much better. We still have some work to do, but I couldn’t find a fault with the process so far. The whole team are excellent!

I had spinal stenosis had injections for second time which did not work at all
So after some research I found exeter health plus in exeter who specialise in back problems amongst other things
When I went to see them I could hardly walk at all just short distances with the aid of a stick and much pain
Several visits later I am much better no pain and walk unaided.
What is more incredible is that Several gp s and consultants are not aware of this treatment.
So my advice is pick up the phone and call them
IT WILL BE WORTH IT

It is an excellent service from them.
My back is getting better.

Went to Jack in agony and now 90% pain free! Jack explained everything thoroughly at every stage and is knowledgeable and reassuring. Georgia is very friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

I met Jack in June 2022 with severe neck stiffness which was extremely painful and made sleeping difficult and disrupted. Even after the first treatment, I felt some relief and continued to see him twice a week for 3 weeks. I am pleased to say my neck is much more comfortable, I am sleeping better and have no symptoms at all. I continue to attend approx once month to maintain suppleness.
I cannot recommend the practice highly enough. Georgia, who runs the practice on a day to day basis, was extremely professional and welcoming.

When I first went to the practice I was in constant pain with my neck and back following an accident at work. All movement in my neck was limited and stiff. After my first few treatments I was able to move more freely and was given some exercises by Jack which helped maintain my movement. Jack used the impact tool on my neck and a y strap which was quite scary, but both worked really well. I can’t thank them enough for their excellent care and attention to my problems.

I’ve been a patient this clinic for about a month.I’m undergoing treatment for joint problems.The Chiropractor (Jack) is very helpful in explaining what he is doing so it’s helps me understand these, and has given me exercises to do at home, as a back up.I do feel there is improvement and with his continued expertise I hope to regain more mobility. Tobi was incredibly knowledgeable, very thorough in both assessment and treatment, and took a very ‘collaborative’ approach to how to sort my Achilles out.

Incredibly patient, with plenty of space for questions and explanation, and always maximising the use of the time slot.

I also liked the combination of shockwave therapy, hands on work in the session and takeaway advice.

I suffered with low back pain and was seen by Tobi , and I am pleased to report I am now pain free. I am continuing with rehabilitation treatment. Tobi is very professional and has explained every procedure thoroughly and puts you at ease. I am happy to recommend him and Exeter health Plus

I’ve been to Jack on a couple of occasions now to solve a tight lower back issue. The service is impeccable, Jack is highly knowledgeable and talks you through every stage. The surgery is clean, receptionist efficient and chatty, I couldn’t have asked for more really and although the treatment won’t need to go on for much longer, I would feel 100% happy to return and definitely recommend.

Excellent service provided by Exeter Heath Plus. I had a complex mixture of muscular pains affecting my walking, especially coming downstairs. Tobi listened carefully to my symptoms and set up a systematic plan to address the issues. Georgia helpfully arranged my appointments so that I could have two sessions per week initially to improve the management of the symptoms. Everyone in the clinic is friendly and polite. I would highly recommend them.

I have been visiting Jack at the clinic for a few months now after years of on and off pain. The progress that has been made so far has been brilliant and all the tips, exercises and advice have been realy helpful.
I look forward to life with abit less pain and will continue to recommend Jack and the team

Following a very severe injury to my lower back after moving a very heavy garden pot, I was unable to straighten up. It was frightening. The pain was the worst I have ever experienced.
Following this I contacted Exeter Health Plus and was given an appointment with Jack. After treatment twice a week for 3 weeks the pain was gone, I was able to straighten, bend, pick up the grand children and garden again without pain. The treatment sorted years of bad posture, sitting in an office chair for many years. Also sorting out my legs, one of which was shorter than the other.
I would advise anyone to see Jack, after him working his magic you will feel, walk and your spine will thank you. Dont put it off, you will be amazed.

After helping my neighbour in his garden I experienced lower back pain. I contacted Georgia and she made an appointment for me with Tobi. On my first visit I had shockwave treatment and massage which immediately relieved some of my pain and helped me to move more comfortably. I have had two further sessions and each time my back has improved and the pain has lessened. I have one more session with Tobi and I am confident that I will be able to return to playing golf and “gentle gardening". I would thoroughly recommend this treatment. Roger Baitup

I really have appreciated the help from Richard, Jack and Georgia in sorting out my back and various knee/leg issues...... They are always there when needed and have the appropriate knowledge or technology to resolve the problem.
For someone who has moved from a workshop to office environment the back decompression table seems to be just what's needed to straighten me out from time to time, and the Shockwave gun well, what can I say? It really gets deep into those muscles and joints...

Exeter health have been incredible. I contacted them when it became apparent my injury was not going to self resolve. I was offered an emergency appointment the same day, and Tobinquickly and efficiently worked out what the issue was and devised a personalised plan for me. 6 weeks later I am almost entirely pain free and we are now working on strength to prevent another flare up.
