After having worked with one of Fulfillrite’s competitors, I was very careful before choosing another fulfillment service. I came across Fulfillrite on Shopify, and was blown away by the honesty of their raving reviews. Their reviews were lengthy and honest, and always referenced back to this “Joe” figure. Two things we hoped to attain with Fulfillrite were cheaper shipping costs and to work with a company with great customer service. We definitely got cheaper shipping costs. We managed to cut our shipping costs by 50% due to Fulfillrite allowing us use polybags instead of boxes for our shipping. We are saving in the tens of thousands of dollars because Fulfillrite was willing to work with us. As far as customer service goes, Joe, the mystery man in the reviews is on the frontline of your business with you. We have had issues with SKUs and delays, and Fulfillrite is always quick to spot the issues and fix them. We managed to create a mess with a shipment coming in during the peak of Holiday season, and Joe and his team were able to help fix and circumnavigate the problem in a timely manner. They also have a streamlined return system that makes it very easy for us to accept returns in a clear process that doesn't consume any of our time. It has been nothing short of a pleasure and a significant improvement in our bottom line in our decision to work with Fulfillrite.

Great company! Talk to Charlie...he runs things around there. Sent over 20k packages and had very little trouble. Good pricing as well.

We were looking at Shipwire for quite some time. I've had a friend use them having a bad experience, and then just reading the reviews really turned me off. So when I was ready to make the jump and get a 3rd party fulfillment going, I sought out other options just to see. I came across Fulfillrite on this Shopify apps center and the reviews looked really good. Although still a little concerned about the technology integration, backend and pricing, we went ahead and started. BTW...Joe is awesome to work with, helped with every step of the way to get started and made me feel very comfortable to actually go through with using them (which frankly is very easy too). Long story short, it's turned out awesome, even exceeding my expectations. Integration is seamless---their backend works great and lets us monitor and edit things on the fly and manage everything accordingly---customer service is superior, Joe is always extremely helpful---they actually cater to small business incredibly well, meaning you don't need a crazy amount of orders for it to work---pricing is very reasonable and it scales with volume---and they have perfect shipping options for lightweight products which we sell---in a lot of orders so far we've had not one problem. If you're on the fence I highly recommend them and encourage to make the jump too. Personally, I had a extensive trip to Mexico that pushed me to get the fulfillment finally started, but in hindsight I should of done it much earlier.

Short version: Fulfillrite has been flawless to-date and a welcome sigh of relief after dealing with the distinctly mediocre Rakuten Super Logistics and the absolutely TERRIBLE Shipwire.

Long version:
This review has a lot more impact if you are aware that I have tried more than just Fulfillrite to be able to say what is good and what is not. I've tried the two fulfillment companies with the big marketing online presence: Rakuten Super Logistics (previously known as Webgistix) and Shipwire.
It may also be useful to know that I am a UK company and I use Fulfillrite to dispatch to all my US customers by shipping direct from my UK factory to Fulfillrite.
So I can also recommend them for non-US companies reading this.
I run my own factory and my own dispatch operation (for my European and Asian shipments) so I DO have a realistic view of good service and efficient operation. I am not sitting on a laptop in starbucks expecting perfection, having never picked up a tape-gun in my life.

Rakuten Super Logistics: Admittedly RSL are quasi-professional enough but I left them due to 3 errors on their part and refusal for them to accept any responsibility and a generally uncaring attitude. It will irk you when you compare it to the saccharin, slick onboarding attitude that they have when they are trying to sign you up in the first place. There's a small chance that it was an unlucky sequence of 3 consecutive errors and 3 consecutive poor dealings with those errors by them. If no problems had occurred then they may never have revealed this side. But they did, so there you go. Disappointing.

Shipwire:
I moved to these guys after leaving RSL. Shipwire is a totally incompetent company. It is by far the laughably worst company I have ever used. They probably have some slogan somewhere about removing the hassle from shipping but it's the exact opposite. If you want to get rid of the hassle of shipping in-house and replace it with a nightmare then please choose Shipwire. Hours of your day will be consumed oscillating between incredulity and pure rage as they trample over all your goodwill with your customers. They are so bad it should be illegal to be that bad. I rate them negative 1000 out of 10 and will not take up any more time explaining the specifics of their multiple problems. I believe that Ingram Micro may have sent (or should send) in a crack team to try and salvage the burning carcass of destruction that is their acquisition; Shipwire. I suspect this because the man who dealt with my offboarding was nominally from ingram micro and actually competent. Which was successful given the circumstances because it served its purpose of persuading me I had better things to do than waste time writing a massive rant against Shipwire on their review page. There are plenty on there already. I was a moron to ignore them. No excuses. I hang my head in shame. Don't make that mistake.

ONE OF THE MANY REASONS WHY SHIPWIRE IS SO UTTERLY USELESS IS BECAUSE THEY DO NOT WORK IN THE WAREHOUSES THEY USE. THEY ARE COMPLETELY SEPARATE AND ARE APPARENTLY COMMUNICATING TO EACH OTHER IN POORLY WRITTEN SANSKRIT ON WET TISSUE PAPER SENT BY A SINGLE PIGEON WITH PUNCTUALITY PROBLEMS. THIS IS ONE OF THE MANY WAYS IN WHICH FULFILLRITE IS ON A TOTALLY DIFFERENT LEVEL - THEY OPERATE THE WAREHOUSE THEMSELVES.

FULFILLRITE:
Aaaah; The oasis of efficiency and competence after the long trek through the marshes of utter delinquency.
- EXTREMELY fast responses to queries and requests. No fancy slogans and meaningless platitudes. They don't need it because everything gets sorted in like 5 minutes (versus 2 weeks at the other places). They clearly operate within the exact location that my inventory is residing and have complete control of it at all times.
- Almost every single one of my bulk inventory shipments has been inventorised within about 30 MINUTES of arriving at their warehouse. Compare that to mulitple DAYS at Shipwire and similar at RSL.
- THIS IS SOMETHING YOU SHOULD TAKE NOTE OF: The cut off time for same-day dispatch actually makes sense at Fulfillrite! It's 1pm local time (EST). That's completely reasonable and exactly how it should be.
Shipwire's cut-off time for same day dispatch is 5.30am!?!. WHAT A JOKE!!!! You're going to tell a customer that ordered at 6.45am that sorry they didn't quite make the same-day dispatch deadline?!?
- Basically the biggest takeaway point is that if a tiny problem crops up with Fulfillrite, it will get dealed with in a proportionately tiny amount of time. If a tiny problem crops up at the other places I have used, total meltdown ensues. YOU ONLY KNOW HOW GOOD A COMPANY IS WHEN YOU ACTUALLY HAVE A PROBLEM AND YOU CAN OBSERVE HOW THEY DEAL WITH IT. ANY COMPANY CAN APPEAR DECENT IF NO PROBLEMS OCCUR. OF THE FEW TINY PROBLEMS THAT HAVE OCCURRED (NOT OF FULFILLRITE'S FAULT) THEY GOT IT SORTED SUPER FAST.
- I've had zero issues with their online dashboard. Personally, I like to use spreadsheet upload so I can give a cursory review of the day's orders. But they also support direct integration with your shopping cart and manual input.
- Their payment options suit me perfectly. I am a UK company and I use them for my US dispatch. I use auto-topup via PayPal, which means I can make use of all the USD on my PayPal account and topup instantly. No bank transfers from UK to USA and all the waiting and currency exchange fees etc.
- And after all that: Their prices are better than the other 2!
- If there were any problems I would readily point them out but there have not been and I have been with them for 6 months so far. My SKUs are quite simple and are prepared well for the pick & packers so i wouldn't expect there to be problems anyway - and there aren't! They have been 6 very uneventful months, which is exactly what you want when you have so many other things to do when growing and running your business.

Fulfillrite:

I have been with fulfillrite for the past year and they are extremely professional. When I had a problem they were quick to resolve it and did so in a manner that was very fair. I don't think another fulfillment service would be able to compete with them in this regard

Fulfillrite is the best fulfillment service I have ever seen. The interface is very easy to use for one, that saves us a lot of trouble and they keep improving it as well. They make other fulfillment houses I have dealt with look like they are living in the dark ages, the software they use is just that much better and they don't charge nearly as much as some of the competition, I won't mention names but some of them are crazy expensive and so much harder for us small-med size businesses to work with.

They also make the billing really clear which is nice, I never wondered what I was being charged for and again with other companies it has been total madness with their multi page invoices with little charges for all sorts of things which makes them seem cheaper per pick but it's just an illusion as they nickel and dime you on everything else. It's easy to get a rep on the phone if needed, mine was Joe, but most of the time you can easily get in there and alter orders, setup RMAs, cancel things etc etc with no trouble.

Overall they have a great system and they really care about their customers. I recommend everyone that is considering fulfillment to save yourselves some trouble and just start here.

Fulfillrite handled ordered fulfillment for our first Kickstarter project, and they were an absolute pleasure to work with. Joe was great in guiding us in our packaging and shipping needs, and once it came time to deliver rewards to our backers, Fulfillrite handled them all seamlessly and quickly. We've continued to work with them handling fulfillment from our webstore, and continue to be satisfied with their service and speed. Couldn't recommend more highly.

Service is reliable (zero mistakes / issues so far) and reasonably priced compared to other options we explored. Most importantly, Joe is extremely responsive and a pleasure to work with. I was referred to FulfillRite by a friend who had already used them successfully on a large Kickstarter project. I had hundreds of books to send all over the world. I was guided through setting up an account and all the particulars of incoming and outgoing shipments. As a long-time book designer and producer, but in my first time handling the fulfillment details, I could not be any happier than how my rep held my hand through many complexities, including making sure the books arrive in the correct form from the printer, uploading shipment files, dealing with exceptions, and depositing payments. When any holdups occurred (my bank failed to deliver a check through billpay), FulfillRite worked with me to make it right, when it wasn't their fault to begin with.

I want to especially call out their online component. They have a very sophisticated system for managing every step of payment, order, inventory, and so forth. It was a great help as a newbie to have such good Web software available.

When I needed to re-ship items to a few customers because of problems with international postal carriers destroying packages (not the fault of FulfillRite), they worked with me there, too.
