I highly recommend Glotech repairs
I highly recommend Glotech repairs. My ancient Brittania cooker chimney hood stopped working. William, a calm and highly knowlegeable engineer arrived promptly on Monday morning to fix the problem (2 problems!) William diagnosed, explained and resolved both problems with a fast, reassuring manner. His problem solving and repair prevented the need to replace a very expensive switch unit (approx 300 quid!). A huge thank you!!

My clothes dryer stopped working so I…
My clothes dryer stopped working so I found a local company to come out and fix it. One of their engineers Danny identified what the problem seemed to have been. He ordered the parts and 2 days later was back with the parts to fit them. On further investigation only some clips had broken so the parts were not even required to repair the machine. I will therefore be refunded for the parts and the machine is now working again. Good honest service.

Liked helpful telephone booking…
Liked helpful telephone booking service. Disliked long 9 hour window for engineer visit time. Disliked engineer saying 3 things needed replacing before testing them 2 of which he did not carry. Liked that on querying this, he changed his mind and tested the microwave and it only needed 1 part replacing which he had with him.

We’re sorry that you were unhappy with the appointment time window. While we always try to offer suitable time slots where possible, we cannot guarantee a specific arrival time, as unforeseen circumstances such as traffic or cancellations can affect an engineer’s schedule. For this reason, we sometimes provide an all-day appointment window to help manage expectations and avoid promising a time that may later need to change.
We also apologise if there was any confusion during the engineer’s visit regarding the parts initially discussed. While our engineers may offer an initial opinion on which components could be faulty, they will still carry out the necessary inspection and testing to confirm the actual fault before proceeding with a repair. We’re glad the engineer was able to investigate further, establish that only one part was required and complete the repair during the visit.

Aimen was thorough
Aimen was thorough, asked a few questions and then get to work, he checked everything and made sure the washing machine is working fine before he leaves. After that he helped clean and tidy the area when he is done. I asked him to help me to put back the cabinets back and he was willing to do so whereas the engineer from hotpoint was giving massive excuses about their own health and safety that I have to begged him to put the cabinets back so it was nice of Aimen willing to do so.

This company demands up front payments
This company demands up front payments, my tenant took the day off work as Glotech could only give 10 am to 4 pm time slot, they arrived ar 6.15 pm???? Could not do repairs to Hotpoint washer dryer, asking for another £180, to complete the repair, which has already cost (£130) a day off work, total so far over £440, a lot more than replacing the thing

Where a property is tenanted, we do generally request payment in advance. This is because the landlord is typically not present during the appointment and is therefore unable to make payment directly to the engineer when they attend.
Although we cannot guarantee specific arrival times, our office team can provide an estimated time of arrival on the day if requested. We appreciate that your tenant was left waiting longer than expected, and we understand how frustrating this would have been, particularly after taking time off work.
Unfortunately, we have been unable to locate the repair on our system using the information provided in your review, so we cannot comment on the diagnosis or the additional quoted amount to complete the repair. If you have concerns about the repair process or the work carried out, please contact us directly with your booking details.
We will do everything we can to locate the job, clarify what has happened and address your concerns.

William, your engineer who came to look at my washing machine, was very friendly and pleasant and quickly found the problem, which he explained to me in a way I could understand, and advised me accordingly, also giving me useful advice as to how I could use the machine until getting a necessary new one. He was very helpful.I live in Sandhurst.

William arrived on the dot at 8am at my home in Farnam and quickly diagnosed the problem with my fridge freezer. Unfortunately he was unable to fix it as the parts are obsolete (which I was well aware was likely). However, he was very polite and did his best to offer good advice under the circumstances. Despite the failure to fix the issue I would recommend.
