Think twice before contacting this company
Had an engineer out to fix our Neff warming drawer. Paid £109 for call out. Diagnosed that it required a power module and coupling kit. They wanted £350 for these parts. Neff supplied them to us for £235. We had an electrician fit them and the drawer still did not work! We tried the other warming drawer in the faulty one and it worked so the technician totally mis diagnosed the fault. We are therefore £350 out of pocket with a warming drawer that still doesn’t work. Contacted Glotech requesting a refund of £109 who want a report from our electrician. Why? Surely by us telling you the other drawer works in what was the faulty drawer they should give us a refund but no!! Think very carefully before contacting this company as their technicians are clearly not very good

Having reviewed your case, I can see that our experienced engineer removed your warming drawer and fully tested the components involved before diagnosing a faulty PCB (power module) and coupling kit. We provided a quote for these parts, but you decided to source replacements elsewhere. We could have explored possible discounts on our parts quote, but as you were more interested in obtaining quotes for replacement appliances at the time, we did not investigate this further.
We later received a message from you advising that you had a friend who could fit a replacement part, but that the appliance still wasn't working. You subsequently advised that your friend had done something else and the drawer was then working. We understand your frustration at the expense involved, but we cannot automatically conclude that our engineer misdiagnosed the fault based on this information alone.
We take claims of misdiagnosis seriously and always aim to investigate concerns professionally and promptly. However, to review this properly with our Head of Technical, we require a report from a qualified technician detailing their findings, along with the part numbers of the components used. You mentioned that a friend had carried out the work, but we have not been provided with details of which part was sourced or fitted. Our engineer diagnosed two components, whereas your review only refers to one being replaced, so we do not currently have enough information to make a fair comparison between the original diagnosis and the subsequent work.
Without a qualified technician's report and confirmation of the parts fitted, we are unable to establish that our engineer's diagnosis was incorrect. For this reason, we are not in a position to agree to a refund of the £109.14 labour fee at this stage.
If you can provide the requested report and part details, we will be happy to review the findings with our Head of Technical and consider your concerns further.

Can’t fault the repairer. William/ Farnham area called ahead of visit and repaired the dishwasher with no problem.
Only annoyance is with the company not being able to confirm whether it’s a morning or afternoon appointment, even the day before. So you need to wait in all day.

APPALLING SERVICE – £99.54 FOR A TWO-MINUTE VISIT!
Absolutely appalling experience. At my first appointment, I waited half a day, only to be told that it needed to be rescheduled.
On the initial online form, I clearly stated that my wine cooler was running and the digital display was working, but it was not cooling. Despite this, they sent an engineer out.
When the engineer arrived, I explained the same issue again. He did not even need to properly inspect the appliance before telling me it was likely to be a gas leak, which they do not repair. The entire visit lasted approximately TWO MINUTES, and I was charged £99.54 for absolutely no repair work and no meaningful investigation.
Why was this not explained before the appointment was booked? I had already provided all the relevant information on the online form. They wasted my time twice and left me £99.54 out of pocket, with the problem still unresolved.
To make matters worse, the engineer told me that the company cannot fix appliances in 7 out of 10 cases. If so, what exactly are customers paying for? The engineer felt embarrassed for what this company has been doing.
I feel completely let down and thoroughly dissatisfied. The whole experience has been frustrating, disappointing and an absolute waste of time and money, I feel I have just been scammed.
I would never use this company again. THINK TWICE BEFORE BOOKING.

We’re sorry to hear how disappointing your experience has been, particularly after the inconvenience of your initial appointment and the frustration of being left with a wine cooler that still isn’t working as expected.
Although you had explained that the appliance was running but not cooling, this symptom can be caused by a number of different faults, and it isn’t always possible to determine the precise cause from the booking information alone. Our office team are not qualified engineers, so we cannot reliably confirm the diagnosis or whether a repair is viable before the appliance has been assessed.
Regarding the diagnosis, we understand that being advised your wine cooler may have a refrigerant leak was not the outcome you wanted. A re-gas could potentially be attempted by one of our systems-trained engineers in your area, but we generally advise caution with this type of repair. It can be costly, and without identifying and resolving any underlying leak, we cannot guarantee that the appliance will continue to work afterwards. Further faults within the sealed system may also become apparent during the process, which is why this type of repair can have a low likelihood of being economical in the long term.
We’re sorry if the explanation provided during the visit left you feeling that no meaningful assessment had taken place. If you would like us to review the diagnosis, we can discuss arranging an assessment with our systems technician. Alternatively, if another repairer has since inspected the appliance, you’re welcome to share their findings with us so we can consider them alongside our engineer’s report.
We appreciate that this was not the experience you expected, and we’re sorry for the frustration caused. Please contact our office if you would like us to look into these points further.

DANNY came to fix our Hotpoint…
DANNY came to fix our Hotpoint Dishwasher slim. He came on Tuesday to check the Dishwasher and found the aircraft chamber wasn't working properly. A part was ordered and was brought with Danny to replace it. Within 30 minutes it was fixed and tested to be working properly. Great job Danny, thank you very much for your help.

SCAM
SCAM - I paid over £100 for a visit from a technician to fix my dryer. This was supposed to cover the first and second visit. He was at my flat for all of 10 minutes. He went away with the information he had only for the repair service to come back to me to say that they couldn't source the part that way needed. I asked for a refund for at least half of what I paid, since the second visit wasn't going to happen. This request was VERY rudely denied. I also followed up with the brand, who gave me the part name and availability of what was needed for the repair (according to the repair service). When I reached back out with this detail, I was told again that I could not be helped. A brilliant business model to rob people of £100+ every 10 minutes... DON'T fall into the same trap!

We’re sorry to hear that your experience has left you feeling this way, and we understand how disappointing it is to find that your tumble dryer cannot be repaired after paying for an engineer’s visit.
Our fixed labour fee covers all labour required to repair the reported fault, including the engineer’s diagnosis, any necessary work and subsequent visits where required. However, the fee does not vary depending on the type of fault present, nor is it reduced automatically if only one visit is ultimately possible.
Unfortunately, we could not have known that the required part would be unavailable before the engineer attended. The appliance first needed to be properly assessed so that the fault could be diagnosed and the parts required could be identified. We appreciate that this was not the outcome you were hoping for, particularly when you had expected the repair to be completed over two visits.
While we can consider discounts where appropriate, we are not always able to offer a substantial reduction to the fixed labour fee when an appliance is subsequently found to be beyond economical repair or the required part cannot be sourced, as we could not have foreseen this issue.
We’re genuinely sorry that this has been such a disappointing experience and that we were unable to provide the repair outcome you had hoped for. We appreciate how frustrating this situation must have been and apologise for the inconvenience caused.
