GLS is the worst ...Shame on Walmart
Ordered 2 identical items from Walmart Online. The twin items traveled from Quebec and arrived in Vancouver together. Only one got delivered. Besides GLS not updating their tracking information, when it did, it was lies. It blamed weather conditions where there were NONE. I live in the same district and know first hand there was nothing going on with Vancouver weather. 3 times Walmart online fobbed me off onto 3rd party seller and that seller would only send me a link to this useless GLS which 12 times, over a period of 3 weeks, continued to lie about the weather in spite of them delivering one of "the twin packages". Now... the nightmare of the return /cancellation because I can only produce one of the twin items.
Deceitful and unorganized
I Might update this with a better rating if I get my package by Monday, but I ordered some items on December 11th. It was shipped on the 12th from Montreal. I'm in Vancouver, BC. According to the GLS website's transit time calculator, it shouldn't take more than 5 transit days.
It was listed "in transit" on Dec 12th. 5 days later, on Dec 17th, it showed in Toronto at another facility and that it's left and on the way. Later that day, I see this service alert "Oops! Things did not go as planned. Please anticipate an additional day for the delivery of your shipment." Now fast forward to Dec 20th (when it should already be in British Columbia, it shows me that it's "on the way" from TORONTO.. AGAIN!!
This is the most deceitful and unorganized shipping company that I've ever seen in my entire life!
I will be contacting the company I placed my order with and be filing a complaint about their choice in couriers. I ordered some items to give as a gift for Xmas and now I'm not even sure they will arrive in time.
If my package does not arrive on Monday the 23rd, I have a few choice words for GLS to say the very least. Super unimpressed with this company.
Worst shipping company
Worst shipping company, My parcel has been in toronto since December 4th, not moving. The last update was on December 12 but still at the same place. We are now December 20th and no update. I have tried contacting them 3 times this week, waited 1h+ on hold never got to speak to anyone. Sent emails didnt receive any reply.. Parcel was ordered and picked up on November 27.

GLS DELIVERY ARE THE WORST I made a purchase at Laroche on November 28th and it stayed in Montreal for a long time. I'm still waiting for my purchase and it never changes location. They are terrible, irresponsible, Not even Laroche can talk to them. Laroche will give me my money back and give me the products for free, that is, if they deliver them to me.

200$ worth of food wasted
We were waiting for our package which contained 200$ worth of food, it sat in Ottawa for a week without moving. Tried calling several times to follow-up and the line kept hanging up. Today our box with the food was delivered, wrapped in a huge plastic bag because it had clearly spoiled and leaked. Why even deliver it to us now when it's clearly garbage? Just adding insult to injury, as now we have to deal with the mess because nobody there is able to understand the word "perishable".

Worst service
I had a parcel that was shipped with GLS on November 23, and as of now, it still hasn't been delivered. This has been the worst delivery experience I've ever had. There's no clear communication or updates on the status of my package, and their customer service has been unhelpful. It's frustrating and unacceptable for a delivery to take this long without any resolution. I would not recommend GLS to anyone based on this experience.
"Attempted Delivery" was NOT attempted
"Attempted Delivery" notice was left on my door, but no attempt was actually made. Everyone was home and we know for a fact the delivery driver did not ring the bell or knock on the door.
Now it is my responsibility to track GLS down to find my package? No indication where it is being held, or where I might have to go to get my package. Just a slip that says *I* have to contact GJS and that my package will only be held for 5 days.
I am currently on the phone (the only number that was left on the delivery slip) and have been waiting 55 minutes so far just to speak to someone. This is insanity.
Stay away from this company
I was to receive a package from Services Tool OEM in Blainville Quebec, GLS threw the package on my porch and left without a signature which was clearly stated on the package. I called GLS and a female supervisor said she would start a claim and 3 moths later have heard nothing. On October 15th, 2024 I left a message with Rick Barns ext. 3122 President of GLS. Yes you guess it, No reply from GLS and OEM does nothing and Mirka Canada does the same and the customer is out the money. If Rick Barns does not have the leadership qualities to understand customer service, the how can a driver understand English that a signature is part of doing the job.
GLS is a prime example of the Dunning Kruger Effect to a Tee. I would put them 5 stars below Canada Post.

They lost 3 of our packages in the last 3 weeks
We ship over 5000 parcels per year and never got any package lost in the last 5 years, using mostly Purolator, UPS, Canada Post and Canpar. Since Canada Post Strike, we started using GLS, because of low rates, but now absolutely regret it. They lost 3 of our packages in the last 3 weeks. They have parcels that doesn't move for more than 4 days because of High volume… I understand that they are overwhelmed with their shipping, but it's not normal to have some parcel that didn't move for 4 days. Also, every time we need to contact someone, we need to wait over the phone for more than 2 hours. That is terrible... When we get an answer, the person over the phone isn't helpful at all and say whatever she wants and doesn't really check the information she is saying... That is terrible. I waited 2 hours over the phone to ask if one of my customers could pick up at their nearest warehouse, because the package doesn't move, and she said there was no problem... We later found out by ourselves there was no pick up at this location!!!! I waited 2 hours over the phone, it's the minimum to at least check the information you said to the customer. Also, all our lost packages are expensive stuff that are now backordered... It just looks like they don't care. It's worth paying more to get good service!!!!! Don't use GLS for shipping! I am really mad!

I've only had two packages get sent through them and both haven't moved in over 4 days. Sitting on hold for over an hour to inquire. Small businesses please beware don't use this company. You will have nothing but frustrated and angry customers.

These useless clowns are worse than Canada Post, package arrived at local warehouse 4 am Tuesday morning and my package still has not been delivered almost 60hrs later. 7 days after ordering going from Vancouver to Edmonton no way it should take this long .. It is now Christmas Eve and still has not been delivered package was picked up on the 6th
I ordered a case of wine
I ordered a case of wine, to be delivered in 2 boxes, each containing 6 bottles. On dec 8, I received 6 bottles. The next day, I arrived home and found a missed delivery slip. I called their 1-833# to reschedule. I was asked for the tracking #. The driver did not write the tracking # on the slip. I was told that without that number, they could not help me. How can I give the # if the driver didn't write it in the space provided? I was told missed deliveries are usually delivered the following day, so I stayed home all day, for nothing. Now 3 days since the first delivery, I called their customer service. I was on hold for 2 hours and 20 minutes. The call lasted only a few minutes as the woman just repeated that they needed the tracking #. They couldn't do anything with my name address, or phone #. Only a tracking # matters. So it looks like I paid for 12 bottles but only got 6, and have a nice day all because one of their lazy drivers couldn't so his job properly. Whoever is drinking my wine, I hope they choke on it. Look at the reviews here. 95% of reviewers rate them 1 star out of 5 stars. That should tell you something. I've never seen a lower rating
