Abysmal email service
Abysmal email service! Emails arrive occasionally... if you're lucky!
Plusnet was OK, Greenby total crap. They didn't even transfer my inbox files over. My Techie had to sort it out with me, with Greenby.
I've had my F9 (force9) email for…30 years
I've had my F9 (force9) email for nearly 30 years. Sure, it was free, but during the various migrations, ending up with Plusnet, it has been rock solid. The spam filtering got better and better, and i estimate I have over 300 online accounts using this email address.
The move to Greenby has been a nightmare!!! I got the Welcome email, and then nothing!!!! My email was being delivered to the Webmail, but it's unaccessible via Pop or IMAP. This took me 3 weeks of back and forward, with different excuses from Greenby bots and agents, tickets being lost and disappearing, but eventually it was working.
So now it's work........but MY GOD!! The SPAM!!!! It's like a flood every day. It almost feels like in the migration they sold my address to as many address lists as they could.
Their spam filtering (on aggressive) is still useless, I can often not login, the whole website is awfully slow, the POP/IMAP download is slow.
With plusnet, I got about 2 spam emails a month.
With Greenby it's about 50 a day!!!
For me, migrating to another provider, is a big deal. Hundreds of online accounts, countless contacts who use this address, so it's going to take me a very long time to go through everything - and I'll miss some.....which means I probably need to keep the account open for at least 2 years (paying them!!!), just to catch everything.
And it's not just me - all my family have sub accounts (mailboxes) on the main account, so they will have to do the same.
Please Plusnet - take the domains back, and manage it yourself.
Greenby is a nightmare - and to be honest, I can expect for them to be out of business in a short time, so I'm going to start my big migration soon, but it's a big deal to give up an email address I've had since 1997, so this is a sad reflection
Non existant customer service
Following "migration" of my email account, couldn''t log into Greenby as promised. No 'log in' codes are sent and all chatbot is good for is useless platitudes.
Cannot get hold of anyone to help at all.
Do not migrate your email to Greenby.
Open a new account with a proper reliable provider.
AVOID THIS NON-SERVICE
I don't know how Greenby can call it a service. Forced to leave Plusnet and their lovely advisory team I am forced to use the Bot...there is no phone contact available and you are transferred to an agent where you sit waiting ....and waiting....until you give up! I have a distressing personal situation and needed my emails so I will be looking to close my account despite it creating problems.
Greenby you were not prepared.

Absolutely AWFUL service
Absolutely AWFUL service, or more accurately non-service. Plusnet more fool them unilaterally 'migrated' my email to Greenby and since then I have had NOTHING BUT TROUBLE. Emails lost for days, some delays caused embarrassment and distress, no way to login, no way to contact Greenby. Plusnet can be bad, but Greenby takes bad to a new level.
DO NOT MIGRATE TO GREENBY
After over twenty hassle-free years with Plusnet, I have been Migrated to Greenby...or so their email informed me. My login details for Greenby were not recognised, codes to allow me to login were repeatedly not sent to me. I phoned Plusnet on a number that I had had for them for many years (the number supplied by Greenby was not recognised) and a very helpful real human being somehow managed to get me logged into Greenby, And that was when I discovered that many of my email folders had disappeared. One of those folders contained crucial information that I needed to access for a meeting the next morning concerning my very ill granddaughter. There then followed hours and days of going round in circles with Greenby chatbots...repeating information, waiting for promised contact with an 'agent' that never happened, sudden non response from chatbots, trying, mostly unsuccessfully to 'raise tickets' which were then ignored...In the end, I contacted EE who will now be taking over my broadband contract in a few days' time. I can't comprehend why Plusnet chose to send so many loyal customers to a company that they must have been aware, are so dangerously inept and incompetent. The meeting regarding my seriously unwell granddaughter had to be cancelled as I did not have all the evidence that I needed to hand, and she now has to wait further months for much-needed help.
Greenby Is C**P!
Like all Plusnet customers, Greenby was forced on me. It is a nightmare! Very difficult to set up, slow, and NOT intuitive. In the end can't be both any more with it. After many years with Plusnet, this episode is the final straw, I'll spend the next few days finding another provider.
Complete shambles
Complete shambles. Migration of emails from Plusnet to Greenby has caused me untold problems. If and when I eventually am able to log in to Greenby, it takes about 5 minutes just to read and delete a single email. When my Plusnet contract ends I will be moving elsewhere.
Disgraceful Customer Service
I'm not receiving any emails following my migration yesterday from Plusnet to Greenby. My authentication details are correct as I can log in to webmail. I spent a good 90 minutes with the BOT this morning, whose suggestion was to raise a service ticket. Unfortunately, to do this you have to log on to their dashboard/portal, but I'm unable to do that as Greenby don't recognise my account details. I was then transferred to an agent. I am still waiting for a human response after 5 hours. It's challenging to know how to get this resolved, as there are no telephone contact details, and I believe that Plusnet has washed its hands of any email migration problems.
The Whac-A-Mole of email providers
Since migrating my email I have numerous problems accessing my email account and sending and receiving emails. I tried contacting the company, each time I worked out how to solve the problem myself. Finally thought it was sorted this afternoon and then all my emails disappeared 0 bits in folders. I have now received a message to say that my account will be closed because I haven't used it since 2011! Is this the "Whac-A-Mole" of email providers . When one problem is solved anyone pops up. Fortunately this isn't my main email, I only use it to send a few messages. Although this may make me review plusnet as my internet provider. Only stayed with them because my husbands brother died and I didn't want to interrupt the internet while he sorted out the estate.
Update: The message about my email account being closed was from Plusnet! and not Greenby. The missing emails problem has been sorted. This is all a bit of a mess.
Even one star is too many
Even one star is too many. I've run through the loss of my email twice - they changed it (twice so far to nothing that I've ever used) so it doesn't recognise me. AI looked good to start with, but even that ran out of options and, on both occasions, referred me to an agent, who has yet to appear.
No one will reply just a bot
They moved my domains from force9 but they were 2 private domains force9 allocated me for long service been with them since day 1 Greenby have had my account for 3 weeks now my emails don’t work so far they have had £30 and now demanding another £7 but their system won’t let me pay it
It just crashes out
I have had my email addresses over 20 years some for 2FA they are holding me to ransom I keep paying but they want more I can’t contact my associates to tell them to change my emails so I have to stick with them and pay I have 2 domains that were hosted by F9 and the relevant email accounts that went with them
Greenby just is not interested they just take the money yet can’t even be bothered to respond
The bot always says an agent will be with you but I have waited hours daily and no one responds
After a few hours waiting the site crashes out and we start all over again I can’t believe how bad this Greenby is it’s like dealing with scammers

Not a well managed migration from Plusnet's own email. Tons of spam, many with virus' and the server is often unavailalble. Poor coms and very dissapointed that Plusnet have gone this route.
Greenby - Avoid at all costs
Pity there is no way of rating with Zero Stars.
Awful, email very intermittent.
Only been with them a few days and only had email access for a few hours every day.
A very slow response from Greenby support.
AI Bot next to useless. No Human response on chat after an hour of waiting.
I can't see Greenby lasting long with this level of professionalism.
Worst email company in the world, why did Plusnet select them. There must be better alternatives.
Will be leaving Plusnet and Greenby as soon as possible.
I suspect Plusnet is off-loading its email service so it can be merged into BT at some point in the future.
So another migration and disaster awaits I suspect.
Plusnet should have halted migration a long time ago after seeing the mess they have been causing in previous months.
Stay away from Greenby. (and Plusnet).
A total shambles!
Shame on Plusnet for offloading their loyal customer's email on to one of the worst webmail companies I've come across in Greenby. Half the time my log isn't recognised, then when I can eventually log on the page times out before my emails appear. Then when I do eventually get to access my emails managing loading, deleting and composing emails runs at a snails pace. Its like a return to the dark ages. I always dreaded the day that I might be forced to change my email provider and email address - with the disruption that comes with it, as my existing one has been with me since I first owned a computer, many, many years ago. However this whole experience is so bad that I can't wait to jump ship fast enough. Thanks Plusnet!
Greenby can't provide an email service
My Plusnet email has just migrated to Greenby. I was able to log in initially. About an hour later I couldn't. The AI Bot claimed my email hadn't migrated even though I could have only logged in to Greenby after my account was transferred.
Eventually it suggested I try logging in to the Webmail. No luck, several different errors reported suggesting their servers had an issue. AI Bot stopped responding but did tell me that someone would email when they could. Good luck doing that then!
Both Greenby and Plusnet have lost me as a customer.
Many problems with force9 migration from plusnet
Too many issues to list, but:
Server settings eventually worked OK after contacting Greenby support who were quite helpful once you got past the AI Bot. The AI Bot was not bad, but can't fix anything, so you have to wait for a human to intervene.
Can't pay the £15 subscription as my address details were not transferred, although plusnet had them correctly.
I was set up with a default email of mydomain (at) mydomain.f9.co.uk which is unhelpful as I'd previously blackholed that via plusnet forwarding because of excessive spam in the past.
Tried to get it all sorted via support and I now seem to be unable to change or check anything useful, with a very limited range of options when logging in. It is not at all good, and plusnet, where I can still login, is even worse - can't join the forums for help.
If at all possible, you might be best to forward all your email to a different supplier like gmail, or one of the micro$oft 365 options, though my recent experience of outlook.com has been very problematic too. Once the former plusnet services have settled down on Greenby, it might be ok to start using it again
Greenby very unresponsive
Have issue with 2FA lockout from my account. Have found Greenby very unresponsive. No telephone support. Ineffective chat bot is the only means of contact. Their response times are woeful. Will probably close my account and oopen a webmail account with a serious provider.

Contacted Greenby several times through AI bot faults corrected but now they have created a couple of duplicate folders which I can’t view on all devices. So I am copying a lot of saved emails to Gmail, may move to that if it’s not sorted.
Plusnet has failed its longstanding and loyal customers.
Plusnet sold out to BT so that is probably where things started to go downhill! I've been a Plusnet email user for 20+ years - no problems during those times and they ware staffed with efficient and knowledgeable human beings you could always talk to and that has stayed the same to this very day.
The transfer to Greenby has been an ongoing frustration which borders on a complete shambles and Plusnet clearly share some of the blame. MY SUGGESTION TO ANYONE READING THIS IS FIND A BETTER ALTERNATIVE TO GREENBY AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN!
