We visit Both The Mill And The Rodmill in Eastbourne on a regular basis. out of the 2 the staff at The Mill are far nicer more friendly and go the extra mile to keep there customers happy

Went to the Cocked Hat Gosport yesterday evening and what a pleasant surprise!
It’s very local to us so very convenient but in the recent couple of years the standards have been below standard. Tables were sticky and the service was not great.
Well I can only presume that it’s under new management. We were met at the door by a man that checked we had scanned the test and trace app, showed us to our perfectly clean table and explained very professionally the Covid system ( I think he may be the new manager)
We were then greeted by our waitress who’s name was Kaz. Well she wouldn’t have been out of place if she was serving at the Ritz! So polite, friendly and helpful.
Our whole experience was a great surprise and we’ll be visiting more often again. Well done to the manager and his team (especially Kaz)

Went to the Air Balloon at Birdlip, Glos on 6 October. Food was really good but the star of the show must go to Gemma our waitress. Really nice friendly personality, very helpful and an amazing memory. She remembered all 6 meals with their own individual choices,which was quite amazing. Great evening, highly recommend a visit.

Monksbridge Farm in Dinnington
Went there on Sunday 27 September for breakfast. Was greeted by a lovely member of staff but after that it went downhill. Was told a member of staff would come and take our order as we could not go to the bar to order. Waited 20 minutes and had to grab the lady cleaning to take our order. I ordered a Full English breakfast and my daughter ordered pancakes and bacon buttie but as they were not on the order sheet she ordered on the app. After another 20 minute wait my breakfast appeared. Cold plate, bacon rock solid, no beans. Also no cutlery. Food nearly cold before cutlery arrived. Then another cooked breakfast was brought out for my daughter, that had to go back as she ordered pancakes and bacon buttie. They finally arrived. She asked for ketchup for her bacon buttie to be told they didn’t have any yet 10 minutes later the people at the side of us asked for ketchup and got it. Strange they got it and we didn’t. When we walked in two ladies were complaining they hadn’t received half their breakfasts. Another table went to the bar to order as staff were not interested in coming to tables. The pub was not busy and there were staff around, just not interested in coming near our section. Staff were not in the up to date Covid protective wear. The lady cleaning was not wearing her pub safe uniform as she should have for cleaning. My daughter works at another Greeneking and knows the upto date rules which her restaurant follows. Unfortunately we will choose to go to a different restaurant in future as we are fed up with Monksbridge not being at the standard it should be.

Tried to enter the Golden Lion in Worthing last night but were refused entry because you can now only enter if you scan the NHS QR code. This can only be done with the latest phones (generally less than 2 years old). This excludes many people and is ridiculous, it is not mandatory to use the QR system as the government know many people cannot use it. The only benefit to Greene King is that they dont have to record customers manually.

Lovely food and friendly staff! Children loved the huge beer garden with the new play area, which staff were cleaning regularly. And cheap too. Will be back!

Had a lovely meal at the green oak farm in Ellesmere Port had a lovely gentleman serve us called Leon he was so polite and helpful

Went to Green Oak Farm in Ellesmere Port and the service was second to none. Our waiter Leon was polite, professional and gave service with a smile. He made sure we were looked after and the service was quick. 🙌

As told about this pub ‘TAWNY OWL’ Walnut Tree Milton Keynes. That it was a nice and friendly pub, having being refurbished recently, we thought we’d give it a try. My brothers birthday dinner and drinks (5 of us altogether) obeying the 6 or less people as if government guidelines.
Now, knowing this, upon entering the establishment there multiple people over this 6 person gathering. Which was quite worrying as there were other young children and babies there. NEVER AGAIN are we to visit that place as staff were stroppy, seem to not know their Job role efficiently.
Drinks order from another customer where taken to our table then we got blamed as we didn’t say anything, but I thought one of the party ordered on the APP! Then dinners arrive, my 5 year old niece kids dinner had a hair in it, her mom told the server to take it back for a fresh one! My grill steak meal wasn’t cooked how I ordered! Looked great externally but internally WELL! I refused to eat munch meal and went straight to Speak with the Manager, who, thankfully spoke to me about my concerns. She offered, to refund my niece and I meals. I said they would be ideal as I’m put off eating now.
We all left shortly after, and ALL we never return again, even to drink there.
Not all GREENE KING PUBS are like this. 2 other chains we visited in the past have Exceptional service! Both customer, food/drink and Establishment.
I felt the need to review.

The Boat inn Catherine-de-barnes. Great service from Christina and the food was lovely. Definitely will be going back.

Lovely service friendly Overstone manor Northampton guy who was serving the carvery very welcoming funny serves good portion all made you feel welcome

The flying horse near Manchester airport. The greeter was very rude, sat us down in the no breathing area. Went to play on the gaming machine only to be told 1 person only and you MUST sit down. We ordered food only to be told we had to move out of the NO breathing area into the naughty corner as he huffed and muttered under his breath at us. At the age of 32 I have never been so disgusted at this human being. He then lied to us saying you can see the planes land from where he sat us, there was no windows in sight only the view of tables not in use with torn seats patched by gaffer tape. And a scrabble sign that doesn’t even join the words together (they obviously abit tapped in the head) other than that a lovely place to go for a pint....said no one ever. We were sat at table 57(no breathing area) then table 3 (naughty corner)

Would like to say that the staff and management have been excellent at wealdon hall since reopening after covid 19 , social distancing has been managed perfectly and the staff have worked hard to ensure people are served quickly, as my local for along time I am happy it’s back open

With all the improvements made since the Lockdown. The service is outstanding and all the food & drinks are brought to your table in a safe manner. Constant cleaning of all areas & toilets with everyone on the move to make you feel safe & welcome.
In fact it's not just like going into a pub: It's like going into a friends house & being made welcome.
Glen is also assisted by Donal O'Brien: known to most of us has Dougal who moves around like an athlete and is quite a comic. We recommend the Old Rectory to all families in this area & through out the whole nation. If you are in this area anytime please give it a try. We say this with 15 years of experience of being regulars.

The fountain South Shields bloody useless. The app crashed and took the money but apparently this isn’t their problem and wouldn’t give my sister food although they took the last of her money. Our big family are regulars here but non of us will ever be coming back or our friends :)

Had a table booked for 6:30, was told a 40 minute wait on food.. no problem! Ordered food and drinks via the app, drinks took around 20 minutes to arrive after asking for them from a stressed out girl running round like a headless chicken and the starter followed shortly after.
Our mains arrived at 8:55.... over 2 hours after we ordered and it was wrong, a steak that was meant to be medium was akin to tyre rubber!
Second lot of drinks took 20 minutes after asking twice!
I understand it’s corona times but why on earth are you accepting so many bookings when you’re unable to manage them? It was absolute madness and I would happily never visit again!!

Evening ruined! Had booked a table for the Farmhouse Portsmouth for 7.15. When we turned up there was a queue across the car park. We overheard people being asked if they had booked but even when they said no they we’re offered tables. When we got to the reception lady we were told it was a TWO HOUR wait for food! Why have a booking system if covers aren’t managed. An hour may have been acceptable but who waits two hours for food? Epic fail

11th August 2020 our first evening out after quarantine and really looking forward to a nice meal out at The Three Moorhens in Hitchen.
How wrong could we be, it was awful!!
Started with a sharing platter and when I pointed out that there were no breaded prawns I was told they had none!
Decided we would both have sirloin steak with all the trimmings only to be told that they had no steak either!
My wife changed to sea bass and scallops with risotto.........NOPE!
No sea bass, no scallops, so she ended up with hunters chicken which she didn't finish.
I decided on fish, chips and mushy peas................. Bad choice!!
The piece of fish was big but the batter was too greasy to eat so just the fish for me!
The chips were the highlight of my dinner but the mushy peas weren't much bigger than an egg yolk and looked like a very dried up green dog mess....... Not nice to look at as obviously been on the plate some time!
Best thing about our visit was the warm welcome and excellent service we got from Ash.
NOT planning to return any time soon!

I loved going here even enjoying a pint of ipa or old speckled hen and chatting to the barmaids and manager who i have become great friends with over the last 9+years.its very welcoming and friendly even when it was busy i often helped out glass collecting and cleaning up at end of night too.

We live next door to this pub and normal have great customer service from the pub under the management of young guy called Danny, who is a credit to Green king. We have left good tips in the past also., Tonight we ordered our meal and the starters came which we finished but 45 minutes later we had still not had our mains. We enquired from the elderly manager who informed us/ blamed us that his team was trying to hard and had burnt our fish and was recooking. hence the reason for the delay. I stated we had paid for two bottles of wine which would normally last us the meal. To which he obnoxiously stated I know your thirsty, we know what your drinking, and we will sort. He could not of been more rude and obnoxious if he’d of tried.... I’m sure the company had had feedback like this before as you can’t suddenly become so rude and obnoxious over night. In short the company at a senior level need to identify key employees and understand those who drive regular customers away.
