Completely A to Z all advertisements publicity no Trust at any circumstances. Good to be Alarts to getting involved any matters with their sellers. 0 Trust 0 Reliability 0 Faith. For rent purposes so many attempts I have been taken since being long time but never ever found any reliable trustworthy anything. In general fraudsters scammers cheaters. Fake false advertisements. Ashamed is that British Govt doesn't prevents Crimes and Criminals so that this is the situations majority of them Laws brokers targeting customers illegally unlawfully through to the Advertisements. Residents needs so various categories of methods traps made for Customers. Housing rent reasons information taken NI taken all personal information taken and then passed to the Criminals agencies. Few lettings possibly good but this also 0 guarantees. For customers imp information please be careful about what is going on and not to waste money and times. Never been found any trusted rental also Credit checks bussinness not to given back that money if failed. No doubts definitely failed nothing is confirmed. Doubtful hidden facts after putting customers in troubles. Intentionally hide all facts to view the properties. Then started abusing not to given rent or truths is fake viewing no rent available all dramas for getting customers details to filled up their forms. Form filled up bussinness to run their lettings business for getting LOANS to ful filled their proceedings. So shocked duplicate like third world countries same scammers here. Anyways cannot do anything but how to do they created Curruptions they by themselves and their families will be suffering aswell into different ways. So that always being honest reliable kind never cheats money. The ways making difficulties for others eventually God will be makes their lives also full of difficulties. Germany Netherlands Switzerland on averages rules and regulations is strict Laws are tighten but UK failed to commited any trust or loyalty. Only Medal rewards is their Altra Modern Style Loyalty showing off fake pretending announcements. 👎👎👎👎👎

If you are considering Gumtree Business Advertising, my honest advice is to avoid it and look elsewhere.

I genuinely wish someone had shared a similar experience with me before I spent over £2,500. My reason for writing this review is simple: to help other business owners avoid finding themselves in the same costly and frustrating situation I experienced.

Over the last 6 months, I spent more than £2,500 on their advertising services and, in return, received very few relevant enquiries, virtually no meaningful results, and absolutely no return on my investment.

The financial loss is frustrating enough, but what has upset me most is the feeling that once the contract was signed and payment was secured, my concerns simply didn't matter.

I used Gumtree years ago and had a positive experience, which is why I returned. Unfortunately, the service I received this time was completely different.

I was promised support and guidance, including account management assistance. In reality, I struggled to get responses, emails often went unanswered, messages were ignored, and when I raised concerns about the poor performance of the advertising, there seemed to be very little interest in helping find a solution.

What I found particularly disappointing was the lack of empathy or consideration shown despite the amount of money involved. Most advertising companies would at least review the account, offer additional support, extend the service, or attempt to help a customer who has spent thousands of pounds with little success.

I received none of that.

Instead, I felt locked into a contract while watching money leave my account month after month with very little to show for it.

There were also technical issues along the way. Some emails bounced back due to server errors. Featured adverts were declined because of URL issues, and after correcting the problem I was unable to repost them, meaning paid advertising features were effectively lost. I also had unused features remaining at the end of my contract but was told they could no longer be used because my standard adverts had expired.

The overall experience left me feeling that customer satisfaction was not a priority.

What has stayed with me most is not the poor results themselves—advertising can never guarantee success. It is the complete lack of support, communication and willingness to work with a customer who was clearly struggling to get value from the service.

Based on my experience, I wish I had tested the platform with a simple paid advert before committing thousands of pounds to a long-term contract. I also wish Gumtree had suggested this approach. Instead, I felt encouraged to commit to a contract relatively quickly without first having the opportunity to properly test whether the service was suitable for my business and industry.

Had I been encouraged to trial the platform first, I would have been able to make a far more informed decision and potentially avoid a considerable amount of financial loss, stress and disappointment.

My advice to any business considering Gumtree Business Advertising is simple:

• Test the platform first with a small paid advert.
• Do not rush into a long-term contract.
• Make sure you fully understand what support you will receive.
• Get everything in writing.
• Do not assume that spending more money will automatically produce better results.

If this review helps even one business owner avoid making the same mistake I made, then writing it will have been worthwhile.

For me, spending over £2,500 on Gumtree Business Advertising resulted in disappointment, frustration, financial loss, and a complete lack of confidence in the service.

For that reason, my honest advice is simple: avoid Gumtree Business Advertising and look elsewhere.

I've used Gumtree for years with varying degrees of success, but now it's a waste of time. Recent adverts for selling have had no response (unusual), except one silly, un-moderated reply. Any reply by me also suffers from technical issues: "Message not delivered because the remote server is misconfigured". I have removed the advert but still get sent emails asking how the advert is doing. Altogether, a shadow of its former self, I will not use again.

we (me and my wife) have used this site for over 17 years but that's the last.

one of our dogs had puppies, we posted them. with not really any calls we thought we have posted them priced too high. she deleted them then redone it. puppies sold.

just under a year later our cat had kittens, she payed the money and posted an add. they took it down for break of TOS (2 rehoming per 12 months or 2 years whatever it was)

they kept the money. my son said we could use his account. the have took it down and kept the money.

the only thing that sells on gumtree is pets, wonder how long this sorry excuse for a site will last.

I feel it’s getting better. Have recently found some good stuff. Can still be a bit messy and spam.

Trying look a car. Half not loading. You want sell car,they look charge astronomical. You sell anything - nobody calls,except scamers

Customer Service is worse than useless.

1. Why you use EVRI as a delivery service is beyond me.

2. You and I both know EVRI is both useless and either loses items or they get stolen

3. We will escalate your complaint to EVRI. Why? We both know that EVRI will say “sorry your parcel has been lost. So why waste your time

4. Stop stating that you offer a buyer protection fee when really all that you are doing is (a) taking money off people and (b) you won’t pay out.

5. Trying to emulate VINTED but failed before you even got off the start line

I wouldn't recommend! You don't get your money back if they decline your ad. Why aren't people getting their money back if they haven't got the service they've paid for? The ad wasn't even posted. Greedy!!

There's no point in contacting the customer service as, if you confront them and prove them wrong, they leave the chat. They know exactly what they're doing.

I sold item gumtree and guy said he'll pick it up pay in advance for delivery and item had trouble getting to payment and getting InTouch with they wanted as I couldn't find as no no could not get payment I'm not very good on things like that

Yes i want working with but for the beginning calling me Gumtree person Cosmin Start now paying after 1 months I weit 1 months came same job this was the deal Cosmin Gumtree man if you not happy Cancellation and I get next month same job but the lleads have another builder then I said I lost time with i calling Mr new Consultant Tom i said to him my wife is very sick please cancel my account him said OK but now came £400 hundred or is not ok for this 2 star

The entities in question are being descended. In light of all ceremonies / rituals conducted until now, the masters have decided to effect its removal to get rid of all the evidence . There shall be no visual representations displayed in the advertisements, no relevant pages shall be accessible, and no distinct listings for Northern Ireland will be available and you as a advertiser will be charged for the service and subsequently have it removed, loosing all your money. In short - KEEP AWAY!!! This website is a S C A M!!!

so i was going to buy a cat for £50 so i was getting ready to meet with him and now i was already in the journey 30minutes in until i got a message and when i checked. the person said. sorry i have to go to work maybe tomorrow we can meet.which i was so mad because i had to go all the way back home.but the reason why im giving this at least three stars is because i didn't get scammed with the other offers in gumtree but anyways be careful with people because there is alot of scammers

It's not surprising that less and less advertisers, less and less useful service.
I'd my account for 15+ year and one day they deleted it with no further explanation, saying that I broke their T&C. Now I'm not able to put my advert and buy what I need.

Useless customer service didn’t bother to help me, site keep taking down my ads. How is still operational I don’t know useless ass site and employees.

Posted ad for massage shop. ad Linked website to add for an extra £9.95, told ad was listed only to be told 5 minutes later that ad was removed for conflict of gumtree's terms. Apparently the shop had a picture of a lady on the window. The mistake was to show the shop with a picture. I offered to remove picture and was told decision stood and matter was closed. I lost £39.95 + £9.95. They offered no refund or assistance to amend the ad - just cancelled. The ad was never shown they just kept the money. I had been a client fo over two years with another ad which I have now cancelled my other ad and vowed to never deal with Gumtree again. I had been spending £39.95 per month with them so they lose out in the end. A DISGRACEFUL COMPANY WHERE THE CLIENT IS EXPLOITED. NEVER AGAIN.

What is happening at gumtree is diabolical, advert that should have images are not showing images, reported this to gumtree support a few times, twice I was told it's been escalated to the tech team, but nothing has been done for over a month, to make matters worse, gumtree decided to take renewal few from my account for advert they haven't fixed for over a month now,
Why is this allowed to continue when there are laws against this?
In my opinion, gumtree should be avoided at all cost.

Not very good experience. App is slow to load, sometimes doesn’t load at all. Tried to sell and post item, buyer could not purchase and sale fell though.
With the app itself, the app will automatically mail you with the enquiry’ is this still available’ the button is in the wrong place and people accidentally press the button.
I get the impression the company will fold any minute as nothing seems to work correctly. After selling an item I cannot delete it from my ads. It is a shame really, all good things must come to an end

Bought a used washing machine through Gumtree. Seller promised a 1-month money-back guarantee, but the machine turned out to be faulty after delivery. Now the seller is not responding and the ad has been deleted.

Please be careful when buying used appliances online:

* Test the item before payment if possible
* Keep screenshots of the ad and messages
* Avoid bank transfer where possible
* Get written confirmation for any warranty/guarantee
