Do not bother going through clear…

Do not bother going through clear health unless you can pay out of pocket for the medication. No one at the company seems to know what insurances they work with until it gets denied and only then after spending $120 will you find out that they don't accept your insurance. I politely asked to be refunded given the circumstances and they refused. Very disheartening given that I never even spoke to or saw an actual doctor,

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. It gives us an opportunity to better ourselves on how we can improve and provide assistance. I’ve addressed your concerns below, please let me know if I missed anything here.

When you signup to be a part of our telemedicine platform, you submit a medical intake questionnaire to be reviewed by one of our Board-Certified Dermatologist. Once you have completed this step, you will always have the option to message them directly at any point during your treatment, even before you’re approved for the treatment. If you would like to speak to them via phone, you always have that option as well! Our dermatologist are always available to answer any questions or concerns you may have about your treatment process.

Regarding the insurance coverage, Clear Health does not take insurance to cover
evaluation fees, and we make sure that we let all patients know this during the intake process. Since we do not take insurance, we are unable to process any patients’ insurance plans to determine if their medication will be covered at their local pharmacy. That is why we highly recommend during registration that all patients call their insurance company prior to beginning care. We also inform all patients during registration that the only insurance our providers are not in-network with is Medicaid/Medicare or state insurance. This means that if a patient has one of these plans, it is highly likely that any script sent by one of our providers will not be covered.

We allow patients to enter their insurance information if opting to use a local pharmacy, as they are the ones who will send the information off to your insurance. At that point, if a prior authorization from the insurance company is needed, we are more than happy to submit this on their behalf, but it is still up to the insurance company to determine coverage. If coverage by your insurance company is denied, we will always work with our patients to help them find alternatives in order for them to still receive the medication they have been approved for.

In terms of our current refund policy; similar to seeing an in-person dermatologist, once your evaluation has been reviewed and approved by the Dermatologist, we are unable to offer a refund at that point as the requested service has been performed. While we are completely online, every service is performed by a licensed physician.

Great Telehealth service

I personally used Clear Health for a telehealth alternative for Accutane in 2021 to 2022 and it changed my life. It was a great way to access something that was elusive before since I did not have great health insurance. I have since been able to go on to a fruitful life without acne. The platform is easy to use and the support is helpful whenever things are needed, such as address changes or prescription questions. The dermatologists are helpful through the process and I can safely say it's a trustworthy platform.

Best Telehealth Experience Since Covid

I've been using Clear Health for a couple of months now and I've been really enjoying the experience. The customer service team has been really great to me each time I reach out to them.

I get my medication from my CVS, but I have gotten it from them before because my pharmacy doesn't have it in stock occasionally. I definitely would recommend this to a lot of people. I work from home so I don't have a 'traditional' lunch so being able to get the appointment done from home is awesome.

I would say the only thing I don't like about them would probably be the lack of service on the weekends, but they always make sure to get back to me!

Atrocious Customer Service

The customer service at this place is atrocious. You are better off going to your own doctor. Getting refills requires jumping through hoops only to be left in the dark. No one responds and doctors deflect. Your customer service rivals Facebook.
