Another easy visit to Hills. Drop-off contract was Claire and she makes it all very easy! Was there when I picked up the car as well. Clearly explained everything. No fuss. No delays. Thanks for making it easy Claire

A poor experience buying another brand new Toyota, this time an Aygo X Hybrid.

Car supplied with wrong number plates, spotted after driving the car home, so could not use the car as illegal plate.

Problems with steering, very heavy and car drifts, not intrested in fixing,

Dash cam fitted in middle passenger view, not intrested in fixing,
Spongy brakes and pedal to the carpet, not intrested in fixing.

Errors with TPWS,

Body work sticky, part of PDI.

Etc

Errors happen, however how they are handled and fixed shows the quality of the company.

So far a response of excuses and apologies, just cherry picking the problems, all talk no action.

Also the additional, service contract and minor damage and type damage, as requested before handover not actioned.

Personally have to step back due to stress and risk of heart failure.

The "Reach Out" is silence and no action and no attempt of addressing the issues, now over a week.

New Sales manager now taken over, sounds positive , however cannot read. Say car is safe as no yellow warning light on.

No attempt of apology for the problems caused.

I purchased a 2023 Toyota C-HR from Hills of Woddford expecting the reassurance and standard of service associated with buying from a main Toyota dealership. Mechanically, the vehicle appears fine so far after several weeks of driving, which is positive.

However, my experience with the cosmetic preparation and after-sales service was disappointing. A number of cosmetic issues identified prior to purchase required repeated follow-up and multiple arrangements for collection and return of the vehicle. Although some improvement work was eventually carried out, the final cosmetic finish still falls below what I would consider a satisfactory and presentable standard for a 3-year-old vehicle purchased from a main dealership.

Communication and coordination during the process were also frustrating at times and caused unnecessary inconvenience. While staff remained polite throughout, I do not feel the matter was handled with the level of professionalism and attention I had reasonably expected. Despite the inconvenience involved, I was left feeling that greater effort could have been made to resolve the matter more appropriately.

I chose to purchase from a main dealership for added confidence in both the vehicle preparation and customer service, but unfortunately the overall experience did not fully meet those expectations.

Exceptional service received, specifically would like to mention Mark who was outstanding with his customer service and knowledge. I left extremely happy with my purchase and even more so with the respect and gratitude shown by Mark. Once again many thanks for his service, would recommend to all.

I’ve always had excellent service from Hills of Woodford. I originally purchased my car from them and recently took it in for a service. The whole experience was straightforward, professional and efficient from start to finish.

Very poor service! My 10 month old Hilux developed an issue with one of the tailgate damper brackets Bending causing the damper to come off. I asked for it to be replaced under the warranty. The issue was assessed by a qualified technician who deemed that the cause of the issue was damage, even though to damage the bracket would have needed to have taken a heavy force whilst the tailgate was in the open position. I had said that there is no way I could have caused the damage and nothing other than my 2 dogs go in the back of the truck, and I had said that I believe there is an issue with one of the dampers. I also asked for Hills to send the details to Toyota who also apparently said it was damaged and therefore not covered under the warranty! absolutely no way had I damaged this item!! I therefore had the Hilux issue reassessed by Steven Eagell garage in Chelmsford who agreed after assessment that the tailgate dampers and brackets should be replaced under the warranty! Well done to them for listening to the customer and understanding that there was no way I could have caused the issue and in fact the problem was with the dampers, as me the customer had said all along! I won't be using Hills again! from the outset of me taking the vehicle to Hills the service people who looked at the issue said that it would not be covered and did not really want to look for a reason why a 10 month old Hilux would have developed a problem believing a 3rd party had caused the issue!!

Sufi was very helpful during the process of buying my new car. All the staff at this branch are approachable, friendly and professional. A great service I would highly recommend.

We arrived before lunch a few minutes late and on arrival there was no one at the reception desk to greet us. After a while I stopped a man who appeared to be staff and asked for some information on where to leave my car keys. He was very experienced and well rehearsed in his reply, showing me where exactly I should go and what to do.
I was impressed by the layout and facilities provided within the showroom. Tea, coffee, and hot chocolate were freely available and appreciated.
After a hour or so I received a text on WhatsApp showing my vehicle, the bonnet open displaying the engine. I was kept up to date with what they were doing with the car and that was reassuring.
Finally a young lady approached, sat down and went through all the details and pricing of the extra work I had agreed that they should do and found the costing very reasonable.
I would have happily given the whole 5 stars if it weren't for the lack of greeting on arrival and the uncomfortable feeling of being 'observed'

It was a great experience from the moment I got a phone call from Sufi regarding making an appointment to view the car. The viewing was very professionally done and Sufi explained everything about the car, came with us on the test drive and explained the features of the car. Once I decided on buying the car Sufi also explained about the service care plan, which I took up, as well as some other options i also had. Sufi provided the car to me in pristine condition and overall had a great experience and left feeling satisfied. Thanks again.

Second service at Hills of Woodford and another good experience. Claire took care of everything in a professional and timely manner. The service whilst you wait option works really well and the facilities to work whilst you wait are spot on. There is even a lovely coffee and sandwich venue 2mins walk up the road

Outstanding customer experience. Claire Denning was brilliant. She looked very well after me and my car. The engineers are also outstanding and they do explain the work (if any work is needed) and what the next steps are. This is my 12th visit at Hills of Woodford Toyota and I won’t go somewhere else. Just to mention that this is a 50 miles trip for me but it’s worth it. I know my vehicle is looked after properly while I am getting a great customer experience.

I recently traded-in my Toyota C-HR car for an approved used car at Hills of Woodford Toyota Dealership. The Customer Consultant Mr. Mark Graham handled my enquiry with professionalism and efficiency. Mark was able to quote me the trade-in price and suggested another C-HR approved used car for my consideration. Mark knew very well the functionality and features of the product he suggested. When I requested for a financial package to buy the suggested vehicle, Mark offered several options for me to choose and the financial package was arranged and finalised on the following working-day. Mark also introduced me to a series of optional products like Servicing Package, Minor Body Production Scheme, etc. with clear explanation of thier details, benefits and additional costs.
My whole experience with Mark is of high quality, value for money and effective. I got my approved new car within a week and the vehicle I collected was well prepared and the transaction was completed very efficiently. Mark did call me the day after I collected my new car and gave me adequate advice on caring/protecting it.

The service at Hills of Woodford Toyota is excellent. The salesman, Sufi, helped me find the right car, arranged the insurance and tax, and even taught me how to drive an automatic during the test drive. He also kindly accompanied me when I drove the car home, as I’m not yet used to driving an automatic.

I booked my MOT and service for 17/04. While the overall service was good, I’m still waiting for a price estimate regarding some scratches on my car. Unfortunately, no one has contacted me about this yet.
