We bought our sectional so long ago I can’t even remember when it was but when a part failed all I had to do was take a picture and send it. I immediately recieved an email telling me my part was on the way! It came a couple of weeks later and our sectional is back to normal. The unexpected part…it was free!

Quality product

I originally purchased the Laney sectional pieces for my small NYC space and I've used many configurations since. I've replaced some cushions and covers and lost hardware and recently decided to change the covers and add a corner piece. I ordered after Thanksgiving and received 2 weeks into the New Year. I give the product and the outstanding customer service 5 stars. But I deduct one star because my original eggplant bull nose cover color was discontinued when I wanted to replace some pieces. They provided the closest match which was acceptable but not as lint free as the first. I love my new Retriever Atlantic covers; they coordinate well with most of the same colors as my old aubergine covers. The frames themselves are still going strong and this is still one of the best house purchases I've made.

Great concept and nice furniture but not well executed sale.

The concept behind your furniture is wonderful and the chairs we bought are very nice. However, when we ordered our 2 chairs the website said they shipped in 2 weeks, which went to 3 weeks almost immediately after we placed our order. Then it went to 4 weeks (during the holidays). About week 3 we were notified that our chairs were being built. But before they shipped we were notified that after completing the first chair they had to start a new roll of fabric but found the new roll to be flawed. That meant our chair ordered in November would not have fabric until the end of December. Home Reserve shipped the first chair to us in December and we have no complaints about the chair itself, though a piece of foam was missing from the order and had to be shipped separately. The second chair was finally manufactured in January and shipped to us. However, the dye lots do not match exactly and so we now have 2 chairs of slightly different colors instead of 2 matching chairs.
If the fabric issue was really the problem we can't fault Home Reserve too much. But we did not receive 2 matching chairs. Home Reserve should have handled this differently in our opinion and not shipped us the first chair, but should have waited and built both chairs from the same roll of fabric.

Truly exceptional customer service

I’d had my sofa ~9-10 months when I noticed one section sinking. I kept trying to “fix” the boards, but eventually decided one board had warped. I contacted Customer Service for help. They said of course we’ll help; can you please take pictures of the problem? Well when I sent the photos, the agent immediately identified the problem— I was missing screws! The board wasn’t warped, it just wasn’t attached. She immediately sent me a handful of the right screw, and the board popped into place and the seat rose up to proper position! I’m soooo glad I eventually decided on this company; I LOVE my sofa and sprawl on it all the time, and now I know that the customer service backs up the hype. ❤️

Honestly I wish I would’ve chosen a different choice considering the price value. So many things about this couch could’ve been a better experience. First, shipment came in over 2 weeks with no follow up. I thought I was scammed until I emailed them and they were really nice and accommodating. Second it came in all these boxes with everything mixed in together. Nothing was in organized boxes. The wood smell is very strong but not only that I found it to be dangerous. There was so much wood dust and I found myself coughing not only taking the wood out from the boxes but actually building it. I don't see how it is family friendly at all. I would not do this with kids or pets running around. The wood pieces are also in desperate in need for sanding. They provide a small sanding block but to do such a big job. There were a tons of pieces of wood and each one needed to be sanded. Wood chips everywhere. For the price they could have at least sanded it for you. I wish I had done my research more but damn do they trick you. This is not an easy installment. I basically built it by scratch. And look I am a natural builder and DIY-er. I don’t complain about things like that but I paid almost $2000 dollars for a 3 seater couch. I wish it came with less work. In other things Ive built and DIYed I spent waaay less. You get to see something evolve with the work you put in even if it was dirt cheap. This was a whole project. The wood chipings that flew everywhere was a nightmare as well. Trust me you dont want this. I would spend the money elsewhere where they dont make you do all the work. Especially for that price. I wish I got a crate and barrel couch. At least I would have it on time and I didnt have to spend weeks on top of that building it. Also the instructions were very confusing. I love instructions and but no. A whole book of information I didnt need. What they need to do is put care for each item someone purchased and only put instructions for there specific purchase. It was a booklet of other couches I didn't purchase on top of my own. I put so much work in I wouldn't return it now. The color as well doesn't match the color I expected online as well. Pros, its the right size and its comfy. Which I could have had those things with another seller. Disappointing. The warranty is ten years so hopefully I see the benefit of buying this couch in the long run.

Home Reserve furniture is intentionally designed as a modular, flat-packed system. This allows for efficient shipping, built-in storage, replaceable components, and a 10-year frame warranty—but it does require assembly. While the majority of customers find the process and instructions clear and straightforward, we understand that a hands-on build isn’t the right fit for everyone.

Regarding the wood scent you mentioned: our frames are made from sustainably harvested, USA-sourced OSB that is cut to order. Because the pieces are produced specifically for each order and boxed shortly after, a fresh-cut wood scent can sometimes be noticeable when first unpacked. If this occurs, it’s typically reduced once the covers are installed and the sectional is allowed to sit and air out for a few days.

While we’re sorry the overall experience didn’t meet your expectations, we appreciate you giving Home Reserve a try. The long-term value of our furniture shows up over time through durability, flexibility, replaceable parts, and our 10-year frame warranty.

Great concept and comfort

I love the look and comfort of my couch. Love that I could buy piece by piece. Still hoping to add more at some point. I love that if it breaks, I can replace one part rather than have to deal with a whole broken couch to dispose of. Love that I can change the fabric if I ever need a new look. Instructions were easy to follow and my family had fun working together to build each piece.

Never received the swatches that we ordered. Even after calling and requesting them a second time, they were never sent. We returned the sample seat and will look elsewhere.

I got the swatches I asked for in a timely matter. I waited until Christmas was over to decide which color I want. I have been a customer for many years and this will be my second set of covers. I am really thrilled with the quality of their fabric ( I get the stain free ones). When I got my 1st covers my little grandson proceeded to throw up on the Ottoman. It came right up and did not leave a stain!

I have loved working with home reserve! Great options for color swatches and fast and friendly customer service! You can literally build the sectional you have been looking for!
We ordered a trial piece and have since ordered the entire sectional! We needed 2 missing screws and they sent them out right away!

Amazing Customer Service!

We purchased a couch a number of years ago from Home Reserve and needed some covers replaced (thanks to my cat) as well as wanting to add another seat. I couldn't find my original order info so worked with an online assistant who tracked down everything for me, was very patient and ensured all the right things were delivered. LOVE these couches!

This is our second sectional purchase…

This is our second sectional purchase with you!! I love your couches!! The first one we have had for a few years and it has held up beautifully!! Any marks or spills have cleaned up with absolutely no remnants of it ever happening!! So when we needed a new sectional for our basement space, I knew I was going to order another one!! This one is a little darker fabric and I went with the wide deep this time!! I can’t say enough good things about it!! We have a cat that has taken to it as well!! One of your best selling points is that if at any time I need to replace even one piece of fabric or hardware, I can get that one piece without worrying replacing the entire couch!! Highly recommend!!

I ordered a piece to test first

I ordered a piece to test first. It arrived quickly and was easy to assemble. I spoke to a representative about what I wanted to order because I didn't see everything I needed on the site. She was very helpful and I was able to order a sectional exactly how I wanted it. I received the additional nine pieces rather quickly and had almost everything assembled the evening it arrived. Loving the color, comfort and durability. The puppy has claimed her spot already. Any issues I had were handled promptly and professionally. Very satisfied with this purchase. Highly recommend.
Prior to ordering the test piece I shopped and priced sectionals in my local area. The quality, value and selections of Home Reserve greatly surpassed anything locally available. Very happy with my decision.

They are a company of their word...

My wife and I decided that we we're interested in their sectionals. We ordered one of the armless chairs with the 60-day return policy. While we decided against getting a sectional at this time, Home Reserve honored their 60-day return policy and it was seamless. This is hard to find these days and it is encouraging that they stuck to their word. I received a full refund. We definitely will consider them in the future.

Navigating website is difficult

Navigating website is difficult. We were trying to add a piece to our existing sofa. It should be made clear that the one we had had been discontinued. Having to pay return shipping to return an item that was unusable is not good customer service. We will not shop with home reserve again.

Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback. We’re sorry to hear about the frustration you experienced while navigating our site and trying to add to your existing sofa-that’s not the experience we want for our customers.

For additional context, we kept this style in our line for over 20 years, and while certain configurations have since been discontinued, the underlying frame itself has remained the same. We also make every effort to continue servicing discontinued styles with replacement cushions for at least three years after discontinuation. The good news is that this means many sectionals can still be updated or refreshed over time with compatible arms, backs, or pillow styles.

That said, we hear your feedback around clearer communication and ease of navigation, and we’ve shared this directly with our team as we continue improving the experience.

Spend more and get a different brand

We have had the sofa and ottoman for over a year now. We wish we would have bought a higher end brand because you never actually use the inside because of the splinters and lack of hinges, which make it hard to ever get it. If you have kids, the splinters from the pressed wood are always falling off and getting into the kids' feet.
