Incredibly poor product and after sales service

I recently bought windows from Idealcombi and I am absolutely thrilled with their quality. The materials and construction are top-notch, making it clear that they are built to last. Not only do they look fantastic, but the viewing experience is truly exceptional. The additional sound insulation is working perfectly since I had these windows installed. I highly recommend Idealcombi to anyone in the market for high-quality windows.

Very bad aftersales service. Window handle broke after less that two years of use (we have opened the window only a few times a month in average!!). Their reply was "it is damaged". I suppose I figured this out without needing them. They are requesting £325+VAT to change it. Pathetic.

We had a boiler service recently that required Ideal to come and investigate. Curt Birley was the engineer who came to investigate. He was polite and informative, he talked through the issues and the rectifying fix actions that were required. After he had finished work he provided an opportunity to ask questions and the left. Top job Curtis, thank you!

My daughter lives in rented accommodation which has Idealcombi terrace doors fitted, she was struggling to know how to open them. I got in touch with the company via email and had a response the next day with instructions, my daughter still struggled so I enquired further and again received a response the following day with even clearer instructions....first class customer service, very helpful and patient! Thank you Bivin, much appreciated.

Appalling customer service:
I waited 50 days before writing this review hoping to receive a call back from this Company.
I have their windows installed in my new home. I had some problems with them and the developer of the property (after a very long time) managed to have them finally visiting the property to check these major issues. This happened in November 2021.
During this visit they rectified only 1 of the 3 problems asking to be paid for the other 2.
Unfortunately, after this visit I had a new problem and I personally contacted them, filled forms for replacement and begging to receive a quote to rectify the issues. After 50 days and numerous phone calls, emails and promises from their side to call me back with an answer and a quote, I have still not received any update.

It is embarassing that every time that I call them, I receive always the same answer: “do you want to leave a message? The manager is busy and cannot answer, I will ensure he will call you back”.
What to say…. I have probably left 20 messages but no one called me back.

I am not asking for a visit or for money, I would like only to have my quote to decide how to proceed with the rectification of the works. I am happy to pay (even if for a new product I think it is not fair) but I really have no chance with these guys to proceed.

It is really disappointing to have a customare service that cares nothing about the client.
Awful experience…and the problem is that we need them anyway to sort the problems…

These windows are utterly fantastic.
Beautifully made, and skillfully installed by Val who was recommended by Idealcombi. I watched him do the job over 3 days and I did not see one error.

In terms of the value they have added to my house, I would guess that my return is already double what they cost me.
I could not be happier. Richard at Idealcombi helped me through the process from start to finish and was so competent and professional.

And the truly amazing thing was that because there was no middle man clipping the ticket, they weren't much more expensive than those awful uPVC windows.

Don't make the mistake my friends made and buy all aluminium windows, which conduct the cold air. Buy Idealcombi widows with aluminium on the outside and wood on the inside.

I am one happy chappy!!

Outstanding service and products - triple glazed Futura+ in this instance

I had a large number of doors & windows installed at my property a number of years ago,it is in a remote part of Devon so not easy to access.I had issues with a couple of the doors & was struggling to get them fixed locally.
I e mailed Steve the MD & received a call back from Steve shortly after he arranged for there engineers to attend who managed to fix the problem perfectly.
Would highly recommend.

Requested a quote for patio doors and, after a long wait, they emailed to say they would not provide a quote as they were focussing on larger orders. Odd to be turned down In this way, particularly as my next project after this one is a large house renovation requiring 30 windows and doors. That order will not be placed with this company.

IdealCombi replied to dozens of my questions before ordering without hesitation or complaint. A window was delivered with transport damage and they replaced it without quibble. Excellent service throughout.

I had a problem with the closing mechanism of a
Futura+itilt window. I contacted the company & explained to Andrew, the DomesticService & Installation coordinator my problem. I’m not the sharpest tool in the box & I have arthritis in my hands so he organised Tom to come to show me how to sort out the problem.
The care & consideration shown by these two staff members was exemplary and they are a credit to the company.

Really terrible experience with this company. Defective products, are unwilling to help and would rather shift blame onto their recommended fitters. Trying to get hold of someone to speak to is incredibly difficult and the response ranges from at best unhelpful, to outright rude and condescending. Even though they blame the fitters, if they do arrange to send another one out to you they charge for the “service” regardless of whether they’re able to rectify the problems or not, which in our case they haven’t. I would recommend people looking go elsewhere for something as important as windows and doors.

I took a little over 12 months, from Planning to Execution of 20 units of Windows and Doors. Collected 9 Quotes before deciding to go with Ideal combi.

-No haggling on price. Meaning, real and right prices the first time.
-Excellent team of fitters.

I am happy that all our units are well received and fitted to our satisfaction that exceeded our expectations. While I thank Ideal Combi for their excellent products, equally appreciate Val for his Professional work with his dedicated team. Our family is very pleased with everything fitted in our house during the last few days. We feel that your products have drastically changed the look and feel of our property and have already drawn few attractions from my neighbours and friends. We are proud of what we have on our Property. I want to thank Richard and Team in the UK and their entire team in Denmark for making our Products.

If you pick them for your project and windows & doors replacement, you cannot go wrong! Andrew the Installations Coordinator has the patience of a saint and is on it at all times to answer any concerns and guide you thru the whole process , and the installers are phenomenal, extremely professional and take huge pride in their work, and to do it right. the product.. what can i say, you wont get better quality! and you will be happy with the price too!!

The process of choosing windows was made much easier, with useful help and patience. Windows arrived as expected and fitted by a wonderful team. Extremely happy with the whole experience and look fantastic.

Very high quality for a very fair price against other manufacturers. Curious on the reviews here, many negative reviews have nothing to do with product and are obviously contractors poorly installing or bad care practices.

We have Futura+ fitted for the last 2 years. Very good thermal properties, and look fantastic. Highly recommend Idealcombi for windows and doors.

I have waited for a couple of years to write this review because I hoped my issues would resolve. They haven’t, individuals in the company have been helpful and one of our windows works fine. Prior to purchasing these windows (the most expensive item of our build project) I read reviews. However I gave the company the benefit of the doubt and didn’t fully trust what people wrote. I wish I hadn’t.
The windows themselves are beautiful, perfect if all you want to do is look out of them. If you want to open the windows or doors you may have issues. As other customers have also pointed out- we do maintenance every year - clean and adjust etc...but the windows fail to shut/ lock and the door quickly becomes more tricky to open. Once a year maintenance is fair enough but when you can’t shut your windows it is ridiculous. We have had engineers out but nothing solves the problem, I’m dreading summer coming around with the need to open and shut the windows. What good is a window that doesn’t function but looks lovely? There are better options out there where you can have the same level of engineering on a product that functions well for the same price.

Poor!!! Window has spontaneous fracture after only three years. The company have not responded to say that they can fix it after several emails (7 emails so far and counting!!) Will have to resort to resolving this through home insurance as can’t wait any longer with a crack right through the living room window.

Have had several problems with a window which they refuse to accept is down to poor production quality.
