The training staff are very knowledgeable and engaging, training module are relevant and informative. Online learning is quite different to the training i have done previously, however i did enjoy the break out sessions

I have attended 3 Impellus Courses ver the last 2 years and each has been delivered in an effective and practical way.
The courses are broken down in to easy to understand sections and the instructors help in translating the practical activities in to your own place of work.

I attended the Finance for Non-Financial Professionals Course 25/03/2026. This is a great introduction to finance within a business, the trainer was well informed and explained the content well. The whole day is perfectly structured giving you time to digest the information before moving to the next section. I would recommend this for anyone with little to no knowledge of finance in the workplace.

The Impellus courses are very well organised, and brilliantly delivered with a good mix of presentation and group work. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because my role does not completely fit the content and so I had to adjust my viewpoint on some occasions. I'm a project manager, rather than a line manager and so my team changes per project. That said, the instructors have always been more than willing to help me to understand the content when asked. The resources given in the workbook are very practical!

I've recently completed my fourth and final course with Impellus, Coaching Skills for Managers - delivered by Marc.

Marc delivered the course and the subject matter well and made the session entertaining and informative.

The content was presented and explained well, making it easy to understand allowing me to get great value from the session.

Having now completed the full course it has been a good overall experience and I would recommend it to any looking to get some basic knowledge of different managerial sectors as a great starting point for moving forward.

I have just finished the level 5 ILM Certificate delivered by Impellus.

The initial contact with Impellus was very impressive. I had some questions and concerns, and there was always someone available to assist and advise when needed. The booking process was explained clearly, and the online platform was easy to use.
I was initially unsure how the courses would work on Zoom, as I hadn’t had much previous experience using it or similar applications for learning. However, it was much better than I had anticipated. The tutors were excellent at keeping the sessions moving while still allowing time for questions, discussion, and activities. I found the balance between teaching, activities, and breakout room discussions to be spot on. The day didn’t drag at all, and it never felt like too much time was spent on any one activity. I would also add that the sessions were well structured, with longer sessions scheduled in the morning when most people are fresher, and slightly shorter ones in the afternoon when energy levels begin to dip.
My first two courses, Strategic Thinking and Decision Making and Organisational Leadership Skills, were delivered by David Ross, while my third course, Driving Organisational Focus and Efficiency, was delivered by Mel Green. The tutors were very knowledgeable and friendly, and they made the experience enjoyable. I found the courses extremely valuable. They supported my personal development as a manager and provided me with tools to view situations from new perspectives, which will be beneficial in any future roles I take on.
I would definitely recommend these courses to any senior manager looking to take the next step in their career and develop into a successful leader.

I recently completed the Impellus management and leadership course with Mark, and it was an excellent experience.

Mark was always punctual and delivered the content in a clear, concise, and engaging way. He brought concepts to life with practical examples of effective management, leadership, and influence, while encouraging us to reflect on our own approach to leading teams and how to get the best of them.

The most valuable takeaways for me were the importance of trusting others and relinquishing control based on expertise, as well as understanding how to operate all “gears” throughout the leadership journey with all members of the team that require different leading input.

A highly insightful and worthwhile course—I would definitely recommend it.

Having just completed my Level 3 ILM course, I am already using what I have learned on my four modules in my daily job. Leading a team was new to me, and so Impellus provided really useful and useable techniques and tools to assess my team's time efficiency and affectiveness as well as improving my leadership skills.
The course was engaging, well managed, and fitted in with my work and personal life.

This was my first L3 course which covered Leadership Skills Development. I found the content very insightful regarding my own management style and the development I need to excel in Leadership. I enjoyed the interactive nature of the course and thought Mark Sewell was a great course trainer.

I was sceptical when I was signed up for the course as I have been a manager for a number of years however, I found the course informative and useful. It would be good if there was some preplanning - e.g. for you to think about changes you want to make - as this was difficult to do on the spot.

Amy hosted our Effective Communication session and it was delivered brilliantly. The day is broken up very well with different tasks, everyone is given the opportunity to speak if they would like to and its very engaging. This was my third course and each one has been a real eye opener, thank you.

This was my 6th Impellus course. They are always excellent, they keep the course engaging all day.

Attended the leadership course with Mark and thought it was brilliant.

I recently attended the Impellus Leadership and Management course online and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The day was engaging from start to finish, with stimulating discussion that encouraged everyone to think more deeply about leadership in a practical and meaningful way. The facilitator, Marc, created a supportive environment that made it easy to contribute, challenge ideas, and reflect on real workplace scenarios. I came away with several actionable strategies that I’m looking forward to implementing with my team. The most valuable was the opportunity to reflect on my own leadership style; what’s working well and where I can develop further. Overall, this was a highly worthwhile course that has genuinely impacted how I think about leading others. I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking to strengthen their leadership approach.
