Lilllies in pots

I have bought 2 miniature pond lilies in pots they arrived on time. They were very well packed. In fact it took me nearly 10 minutes to unpack them. The plants were good and healthy A good buy. Only criticism I have there were no instructions on how to put them in my pond. Ie how deep should they be immersed. I eventually put string through the holes on the top of the plant pot and lowered it gently to the bottom of my pond. About two feet deep. Just hope this is right depth. Now waiting to see how they grow. No reason to think they will not grow well.

As a general guide, most miniature water lilies do well in around 15–30cm (6–12 inches) of water above the pot, so you may find adjusting the depth slightly helps them establish and perform at their best. Your feedback is really helpful and we’ll take it on board as we look to improve the information we provide with our plants.

Water lilies came great

Water lilies came great, except one variety X2 that had no roots and very little growth, just two pieces of tuber.

We’re glad to hear most of your water lilies arrived well, but we’re sorry that one variety didn’t meet expectations.

Water lilies should have a healthy root system and viable growth points, so receiving tubers with little or no roots is understandably disappointing.

I've still not received my order one…

I've still not received my order one week after my order when it should have arrived in 48 hours. I sent an enquiry on Wednesday and was told my order would be dispatched in the next day or two and Royal Mail tracking reference still says they've not received my item. The delay is frustrating with no further updates.

3L bare rooted Geranium Azure came as tiny plants

I bought 3L bare rooted Geranium Azure Rush pre-ordered 5 months previously. What arrived ranged between a plug size and maybe 9 cm pot.
After many emails I was told 3L refers to the size they would grow -(not heard of that one before).
Eventually I was offered a refund if I returned the plants so I asked for a prepaid label and heard nothing more.

Really poor service and delivery time

Really poor service and delivery time, been a week and still no delivery.
Tried to phone - no answer
Used the Bot help and it informed me my order had been processed.
Requested a human response received an email to say sorry for the delay where struggling with backlog. It’ll be another week. Would have been nice to have been informed of this rather than chasing around, especially as your advertising 48 hour tracked.

You’re absolutely right—this should have been communicated to you proactively rather than you needing to contact us. The backlog you were informed about has affected dispatch times, but that does not excuse the lack of clear updates or the difficulty reaching us by phone.

Dead bare roots described as plants

Usually great with pond plants, but bought dahlia tubers and 'pre-order plants' in January. They only arrived at end of April after multiple emails assuring me they'd be with me next week. When they arrived they were dried up bare roots labelled as 3 litre and 1 litre plants! Dahlias were missing! Sent numerous photos of dead frazzled roots but they refuse to refund unless I send them back. Horrendous treatment. Should not be allowed to sell plants if that is the nature of service and returns.

Pre-order plants can sometimes be supplied as bare roots depending on the season, but they should still arrive in a healthy, viable condition and be clearly represented. What you’ve described—dried, non-viable roots, missing items, and the handling of your refund request—is not the standard we aim to provide.

We also appreciate your concerns regarding being asked to return items in poor condition, and how this adds further inconvenience.

Your feedback has been taken seriously and will be reviewed internally, particularly around product descriptions, quality checks, and how we handle returns and resolutions.

Did not ship even after a month

Order expected to be delivered 1-3 days but its been a month and its not shipped. Stopped responding to chats, phone and email . Everything delayed because of this purchase. Worst service ever! Do not buy!

Lincs plants/Lincs pond plants - terrible!

I ordered several plants advertised as 1L, 3L and 5L sizes. What arrived was nothing like what was described. Many were dead on arrival, and the rest were tiny bare‑root fragments, including multiple “3L” plants small enough to hold between finger and thumb. The sizes advertised were misleading and did not reflect the items supplied.

Despite providing clear photos, the company refused to refund unless I returned the dead plants, even though perished goods cannot be meaningfully returned and the Consumer Rights Act does not require consumers to store or preserve dead biological material.

I have reported the matter to Trading Standards due to the pattern of similar complaints from other customers. I have also reported the company’s use of RHS Chelsea Gold Medal branding cto the RHS, given the quality of the plants being sent out. If the company does not issue the refund I am legally entitled to, I will be taking the matter to the small claims court.

(Update: Would recommend checking their Shopify reviews on here too!)

What a absolute pile of rubbish

What a absolute pile of rubbish, badly packaged, 50% of leaves are broken from the plants, you might as well have sent me a packet of seeds the plants are that small. Maybe you need to place a ruler for scale.
After waiting for two weeks on delivery I will never buy from this company again,

Pond plants Died

Bought pond Iris plants last October - all have died despite being planted in my pond as instructed within days of being delivered. Contacted them only to be told that they will not replace the plants - very disappointed with this response.
I will not buy from then again - Buyer beware applies I think.

Avoid

I am writing this review again because, despite receiving a response from the company, my review appears to have been removed.

I order a 'potted' Waterlily from this company at a cost of £39,  what arrived was a plastic bag containing an empty plastic pot,  soil, and a very small tuber which was snapped in half and with all its tiny leaves broken off.  

In accordance with the advice given on the leaflet included with the order, I immediately emailed Lincs Plants with a photo of the broken tuber showing the unacceptable state it had arrived in. The leaflet said "we'll assist you right away" so I expected a rapid reply but a week, and further emails later, I had had absolutely no response....  however, after posting a review on here, Lincs Plants immediately posted a reply saying,    
"This needs to be reviewed urgently with our team so we can investigate what happened with your order and ensure it is properly addressed. If you are still willing, please contact us again with your order details so we can resolve this for you as quickly as possible."  

I immediately email them, attaching my previous emails, and received a response saying,

"We are currently experiencing a high volume of messages and enquiries. Our team is working hard to respond to every email as quickly as possible, and we are also training new team members to assist with customer support."   That was 11 days ago and I'm still waiting....

It would appear Lincs Plants respond to negative reviews to give the appearance they are genuinely concerned, but they then do absolutely nothing.

I used Lincs Plants for the first time…

I used Lincs Plants for the first time to buy some pond plants and will definitely use them again. I was especially pleased with water lilies that arrived l, they were very healthy and a good size. They arrived on time and a fraction of the price compared to my local garden centre

Plants were expected in March...

It's been 11 days since I emailed asking about the status of the £350 order I placed in January for plants to be delivered in March. I got a generic response telling me they are really busy. I had no response to my follow-up email this week. I'm a pretty patient person. I just want to know whether I am getting my plants in time for them to establish in my garden before I open to visitors in June. I was initially impressed with the selection of plants and the prices, but have found the service disappointing.

Poor quality plants

The plants that were delivered were poor quality with one dead and one almost dead. A plant I had ordered was not delivered and despite emailing the company I have heard nothing back.

Some plants were small and others were missing from the shipment

The water hawthorn and fringed water lily plants I ordered were very small. 4 of the plants I'd ordered were missing from the shipment. On raising the issue with the sales team, the missing part of the order was shipped the following week. Otherwise, the quality of the plants was pretty good.
